MacNeal Family Practice Residency

I chose this clinic fourteen years ago when I moved to Berwyn and have had positive experiences each and every visit. My primary doctor is Dr. Edward Foley, who is one of doctors who supervise the residents. I could not ask for a better doctor. He listens carefully to what I say, is thorough in his examinations, and is always kind, patient and caring. I have complete trust in him. I have had past experiences at a prior medical clinic where I felt that I was rushed through my appointments. That never been the case with Dr. Foley, nor with any other doctor that I have seen during my many visits over the years. My only issue is that , in calling the office, oftentimes the wait time on the phone can be long, however, when I do talk to any of the reception staff, they are always courteous and helpful. Seeing as they are responsible for the patients that appear at their window, and also are responsible for answering incoming calls, I would like to suggest that staff be added whose primary responsibility would be to handle the incoming calls. That would be a welcome improvement.

I am thankful for the doctors/residents at MacNeal! Specifically, Brett Nelson, who discovered a lego arm that was stuck in my sons ear. We went in for a routine check-up & my son had no complaints of pain. Brett just so happen to notice something that appeared thicker than wax while checking his ears. He requested a 2nd opinion, and sure enough, there was something there. The two of them cautiously removed the lego, while causing little pain to Bryce! We are EVER so grateful for your diligent service! 😊🙌

Fue una muy buena experiencia todos los doctores enfermeras y ayudantes fueron muy profesionales estube 12 días ospitalisado por covi- 19 y a un estoy con oxígeno pero me trataron muy bien atentos a todo momento para mí todas las personas que trabajan en el hospital son unos héroes y Angeles de verdad estoy muy agradecido con todos ellos que dios los bendiga a todos 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 y los proteja siempre

My mom in law comes here and has always said the greatest things. Recently, I started coming here (again) and while It was a tough time to get through to the office, the front desk and nurses were very helpful.I used to come here before pandameic started and I gave up on the clinic because it was so difficult to make an appt, mind you it still is pretty difficult. I accompanied my MIL to her appt and an older woman with brown hair and glasses at the front was explaining to me that they don’t schedule all of there appointments completely and have help from another dept. it was also explained that this is a teaching facility but Drs with more experience oversee every appointment which is not something that had ever been discussed with me before the pandemic, maybe slipped my mind when it was told to me. we were about to schedule an appt but then MIL was called in. When appt was over the front desk staff was no longer there but a younger woman with dark to blonde hair( I’m assuming a nurse because she was wearing scrubs) who looked like she was leaving, pulled me back to the nurse station and logged back in to make sure that I was scheduled. She was even able to get me in a lot sooner than the people over the phone had offered me. First impression over the phone was not at all encouraging but it may be because the other dept at ent doesn’t know what they’re doing but in person, the lovely ladies I had the chance to interact with gave me hope. The nurse also spoke very highly of the Dr she scheduled me with. I’m all for giving second chances and they earned it.these are trying times and finding somewhere to fit me in asap for my conditions is diffucult. (only 4 stars because number to schedule doesn’t go straight to office. It’s the other dept and they truly do not do/know what they are supposed to.)

Great place

I had a good experience with all the different doctors I see. The only two issues I have on the fifth floor is, the nurses at the desk are very unprofessional they sit there cursing and talking badly about doctors in training all bad vibes there the other issue is I am disabled and I require doctors cooperation with my disability representatives and there is no cooperation what so ever. The doctor tells me he gave my paperwork to the nurse to fax and it is lost, for me to have everything faced again for cooperation. this was back in September we are now in December. I've notified several times if there is no cooperation I lose my benefits due to non cooperation. I have children that rely on me. I'm still waiting.
