We headed up to Madison for a quick little date night and stopped in here for dinner.

Loved the atmosphere, chill and relaxing. The bartender, was great and friendly.

We had the jam margarita which was good.

Started with the wings. The sauce was amazing. I wasn't a fan of the cheese on them but my wife loved it. Still worth trying for sure

Our entrees were good and the special soup of the night was great.

First thing to order is the wings, an absolute must. The sweet potato fries are very good as well. Great staff and atmosphere, definitely make the trip here!

The service was phenomenal. They have a nice selection of tap beers. The Kimchi Reuben was probably the best Reuben I've had, it was delicious. The kids had the build a burger and we all really enjoyed the house made Alchemy Fries. Great job to everyone who makes this place happen.

Best wings in Madison, the food here is always fantastic. Sweet potato fries were the best my wife has ever had, easily one of the best restaurants in the Madison area.

Some of the most amiable staff I have ever met! the food and drinks are incredible, great vegetarian option. The atmosphere suits a fancier date night or just a fun night out with friends.

Historic building with an antique artsy vibe. Small but diverse menu includes several vegan options. Bartender was TOP NOTCH and Alchemy better take good care of her because she takes great care of customers. Fresh fries, cold beer, good vibes.

A perfectly executed meal & unforgettable night. What you are about to read may or may not be classified information. For this reason, I must warn you to proceed with caution, if you choose. Date: October 16th, 2023. Meal: The Hangry Jack with Alchemy Fries. Time: Evening. Temperature: Chilly. I made my way out tonight to have a meal on my own seeing as my partner had to stay at work later than expected, much to my chagrin. Nevertheless, I am no sourpuss & refused to let my night go wasted. After placing my order, I looked out the windows at which I was sat near the entrance of Alchemy. A beautiful Autumn night. The empty chair reminded me of my partner's demanding job. Damn his employer. Damn the CIA. You see, being a Special Agent gives you many benefits like a comfortable lifestyle with the resources for a spouse like me to be a homemaker. Not all is sunshine, sadly. There are nights like these when dates cannot be kept...because of terrorism. It's been under wraps for months, but my partner was in pursuit of the head of the Q.A.E.P. (Question All Elderly Persons), a radical urban terrorist organization committed to exposing corruption amongst leaders who have held onto power for years. Unbeknownst to me, my partner had intercepted their very leader tonight. When this realization hit me, it came crashing in. Literally. In front of my very eyes, a vehicle burst through the glass windows ahead of me, struck me & threw me back onto the bar. I was in utter shock to see my partner crash his vehicle into that same car moments later, step out & pull the original driver from his vehicle. The head of Q.A.E.P. himself, Johnny John Jons. I gasped loudly as the two engaged in a violent fisticuffs before my very eyes & an audience of Alchemy onlookers. "KILL HIM! FOR OUR GREAT COUNTRY!" I screamed from the bar. After formally ending Mr. JJJ's life in cold, patriotic blood, everyone cheered. My partner then joined me on the bar & made barbaric, passionate love to me as the crowd continued to cheer. Not only had I survived, but he'd made sure I was ok. Afterwards, Alchemy comped us both a free meal & we got to end our night sitting across from each other as we'd originally planned. Superb service & highly recommended, delicious food. 5 STARS.

Nice out door sitting area. Food was very good. Hard to find vegetarian options with quality ingredients. This is the place you want! Had the stuffed grilled cheese and it was delicious 😋

Arrived on a busy Saturday night during peak dinner hours after going to 2 other locations and being told the wait would be over an hour. At alchemy we were seated in 15 minutes during which time we were able to order a drink at the bar and peak at the menu. Service was quick, friendly, and reliable. As for the food - we were glad the other two places didn't work out because the food here was SO GOOD. The wings especially were the highlight, after hearing the hype they definitely lived up to expectations. We also enjoyed some tasty burgers and sandwiches with fries and will definitely be going back.

I've been here 3 times now and every time was great. I can't speak highly enough of the wings...the best I have ever had!!!

Bourbon cocoa buffalo wings with Carr Valley gorgonzola cheese and pickles onions. This is listed on the menu as a side for $15.00, but it is definitely a meal in itself.

If you have someone in your group who is vegetarian or vegan don't worry. There are many menu items that meet their dietary standards and they even do a house made vegan burger replacement that is at no extra charge.

They have a great rotating beer menu as well as many great looking daily specials.

I will be a regular for a long time!

Outstanding food! The small batch bread was a delicious start to a thoroughly satisfying meal.

The stuffed grilled cheese was fantastic and the burger was one of the best I've had in a while. Service was on the ball, friendly, and attentive.

Their food does not disappoint. The stuffed grilled cheese is so delicious. The apple bacon bison burger was also amazing. We had the sweet potato fries which were some of the best we've had. We love that they always have something different as their special. Only draw back is that it's cash only.

Been here a handful of times and never disappointed. Had not had the clam chowder before. Maybe the best I’ve had anywhere in the country with all due respect to all the Baltimore/East coast and west coasters. Obviously always comes down to choice but really nice balance of viscosity and flavor without being so creamy all it becomes is cream soup with potatoes and chunks of clams. I almost cancelled the fish and just got more soup…lake perch was a little undercooked but I knew I should’ve said ‘well done’ cuz they were busy, but didnt. Call that my fault. Fish was solid, clean and flavorful and not greasy or over breaded. Perfect level of batter, they just got antsy.

One of our favorite restaurants on the east side. We like their burgers and brew options. They always have interesting dinner and lunch specials so there is always something new to try. We haven't been disappointed yet. We will be back in again soon.

Additional notes this is a good date restaurant or place to come with smaller groups as seating is limited especially in the winter when they don't have their patio open.

Haven’t been here in awhile and it didn’t disappoint. The food is so incredibly fresh with so many unique flavors!! The portions are extremely generous too!! We can’t wait to go back and try even more of the menu.

Creative vegetarian and vegan friendly menu. Plant based meat can be substituted for many meat proteins. Comfortable, unique ambiance. This place typifies what I love about Madison, especially the Eastside.

Me and my husband's favorite regular restaurant! Great food and cocktails, we love getting some filty martinis and bread and spread. Rachel is a great server, but everyone there provides great service!

My go-to place in Madison. Food is great with nice selections. The interior feels old school but still cozy. Wonderful staff. Parking in the neighborhood is a little wonky but it's 100% worth it.
