My grandpa was treated by the cardiology team here and it was a great experience. Their PAs are very knowledgeable and Zoe explained things in a way that made sense to us. All the providers are up to date on the most recent recommendations. Highly recommend!

The clinic has been great. My complaint is with the care from Dr Cusick.
I went in several months ago with shortness of breath, chest pain, irregular and very high HR, and severe fatigue. He did an ECG and echo right away, which is great. The ECG showed some abnormalities, but since my echo came back clear, he dismissed my concerns and scheduled me for a follow up three months later. My symptoms became much worse during that time. When I went in for my appointment last month, while he was polite, he was also extremely dismissive of everything I said. I mentioned I was concerned about POTS and myocarditis because I have those same symptoms. I even mentioned the specific tests I know would need to be done in order to confirm whether I have those disorders/diseases or not. Because many of my doctors believe i am suffering from post covid syndrome, it would make sense to be concerned about these possible diseases since many other post covid patients are dealing with these. Instead, he dismissed the possibility of post covid at all. He did not even acknowledge POTS, and told me I probably didn’t have myocarditis so he didn’t want to do further testing for that. He did do a 48 hour holter monitor. When that came back clear (that’s another test that often doesn’t show every possibility, especially the disease I mentioned), he just left it at that. I had to be somewhat demanding at this point and tell them that i was unwilling to just let go of these ongoing symptoms since they have become debilitating. Heart disease also runs in my family. I asked for an MRI which could show many more possible things going on with my heart. Instead he said he would do a stress test. I explained that I am unable to do that test because the infectious disease specialist (along with other doctors) i have been working with believe I have chronic fatigue symptom, and any kind of activity has shown to make my symptoms much worse, so I was instructed to discontinue any kind of exercise for now. I had told Dr Cusick about the CFS at my previous appointment when he had advised me to exercise. That was actually the only treatment option he offered. There is plenty of research to show that even a small amount of activity can make some patients with CFS regress and feel much worse. It is considered unsafe if that is the case. I asked again if there were other tests he could do, specifically an MRI. He refused and said it was not medically necessary. I cannot understand how a heart doctor can have a patient with all of these major red flag symptoms, yet refuse to do the necessary further testing. Testing that I have literally asked to be done because I can’t continue to live like this. It’s very upsetting and concerning for a healthcare provider to treat a patient this way.
Needless to say, I will be finding another cardiologist.

The doctors there are very good. However for the last 8 years their office staff is not very competent or nice. Sorry for this review, but the staff needs some major training.

First off the entire front desk needs serious training on how to take care of patients. When you call you are put on hold and it's hit or miss if they ever pick up again. They have no idea how to retrieve important test results which they insist be faxed because they don't have a portal . I waited 3 weeks to get an answer to a blood test which had me very stressed, finally a nurse called me and said I had nothing to worry about. I practly begged to speak to my doctor only to be told they could not give him my message because they don't have access to my test results. I quickly found someone else to take care of me at Rush and I couldn't be happier. Since the reviews here are not very positive perhaps the doctors should make necessary changes

The cardiologist that I saw at this clinic had very bad bedside manner. He told me that I for definitely had a heart disease, but I should follow up with another appointment to be positive. He said it was basically confirmed that I had this disease based on the EKG I received from a nurse in their office. I had to wait two months in horrible anxiety thinking I had a disease. When I came back, he told me that I absolutely did NOT have the disease based on my results. He then told me to go back to my primary care physician. I spent $60, received horrible bedside manner, was misdiagnosed, spent months in anxiety, only to be redirected to square one. I do NOT recommend this clinic. Please ask for a cardiologist with better bedside manner and you will avoid spending time in an overcrowded clinic that doesn’t care for their patients.

Terrible wait time to get through to make an appointment. I attempted to make a new patient appointment and after being on hold for 20+ minutes, I was able to speak to someone. the lady asked for my name and insurance info and said she had to go over the Dr.'s schedule and would call me back. She never called me back. I attempted to follow up during my lunch break but I was on hold the whole time, never got through so I had to hang up. I tried 20 minutes before they closed a 3rd, 4th, 5th time and when I got through the long prompts, the call would drop each time. I will be going somewhere else.

Terrible communication skills. Dr. Stella, Dr. Cusick, and Manager Sonia run a disorganized clinic. Extremely long wait times, due to lazy Medical Assistants Maria and Diana. Dirty patient rooms. Sonia is totally oblivious and incompetent as a manager. Dr. Stella and Dr. Cusick need to be retrained on patient care, how to run a clinic properly as soon as possible. Berwyn clinic, patients are just a number, no special care given, as a patient feel like cattle being herded thru the Berwyn clinic. Extremely long wait times.

Horrible front desk service. I’ve been on hold for twenty minutes to change an appointment. Guess we are canceling it and switching practices.
