Ferentino's Pizzeria

Landmark pizzeria located in beautiful & luxurious downtown Lake Forest is a real gem for the locals and is truly some of THE BEST pizza I've ever had in my life.

When it comes to pizza, it really is what you like. Whether it's a popular franchise in the heart of Chicago or the Big Apple, or a hole-in-the-wall in some podunk town in Indiana or New Hampshire or Louisiana or maybe even a frozen pizza brand; to each his/her own.

I've only been to this location a couple of times being I did a few take-out orders from the west location which sadly closed down a few years ago. This pizza reigns supreme and for me is #1 tied with another local pizza joint which has locations in Mundelein & Third Lake.

Ferrentino's rocks and the venue kept clean/sanitized with an awesome menu with still reasonable prices and excellent customer service. Hope this place stays open for decades to come and I will continue striving to support local.

The pizza was phenomenal. I could only eat one slice and I was beyond stuffed. My parents, two brothers and I weren't able to finish the large deep dish in one sitting. Not because it wasn't beyond amazing but because it was SOOOOO much food.

Pizza is delicious as well as the bruchetta. Fast and friendly service.

Beef was very good with lots of flavor. Toasted bread was a good touch. Cheese sauce was yummy and was real cheddar and not the “plastic” tasting yellow/orange cheese some other local places serve.

Excellent service, highly recommended the deep dish pizza! Great tasting sauce, the crust was flavorful and firm, not one bit floppy. I hope you like cheese!

Decided to get take out from here and was pleasantly surprised. Tried their deep dish and with cheese and spinach and omg one of the best I have had. I personally don't usually like deep dishes but their sauce was amazing and not too overpowering. Then we tried the pizza on the artisan bread and that was so good. Will definitely be returning.

We went here for dinner and decided to dine in and everything was very good here. The waitstaff was very nice and our food came out quickly as well! The seating here is plentiful and the prices weren’t bad either. I’m sure I’ll be coming back here since the pizza was very good!

Some of the best deep dish pizza in the Chicagoland area - rivals that of Lou Malnati's and any other that you may think of as top tier.

The Chicago deep dish was delicious and the service was great, waitress was polite and helpful. I definitely recommend this place!

Oh man. First time ordering take out the other day for lunch - amazing. This is up there with Barnaby's and Silo in my opinion. We got two pizzas - the Roma Mediterranean and the Chicago Thin. Both were fantastic but my favorite was the Med. the texture of the pizza was super fluffy and the garlic flavor was forward which I was a big fan of. Chicago thin was really delicious too, my only gripe would be that the giardinara kind of over powered the beef which I really wish I could taste more of as I think it should be the main ingredient of the 'za. I do prefer Barbary's cornmeal crust over Ferentino's, but Ferentino's is a nice change of pace from the usual suspects. We'll definitely be back to try the other pizzas, overall delicious.

My wife and I went for a salad , Chicken vodka pasta and a chicken Bacon sandwich and it was delicious 😋

I think the deep dish here is pretty solid. The sausage has a really good flavor. The sauce is nice and tangy. Their Paninos use homemade bread and they are pretty incredible. Their house Italian dressing is phenomenal. I always get extra to dip my sandwich in, Salads are also top notch. While a little on the pricy side, this place is totally worth it.

Come during lunch 11-2 and buy by the slice it’s enough to feed 2.

I have been eating their deep dish pizza since 1994!!! I have actually never had anything else on the menu, that is how good it is. Best deep dish pizza hands down. Tasty sauce, perfectly cooked crisp but never burned or too dark of a crust, excellent flavor and gooey cheese. If you are going to be decadent with calories, this is the pizza for you. My favorite is the deep dish spinach. Carry out only, while people do dine in, charm and character is not on the menu. Its a shame they didnt give it any ambiance inside. That being said, order away, what are you waiting for! YUM!

Hands down the best deep dish I’ve had n recent memory. Normally a Lou’s guy but this pizza really surprised me. Ordered mine with sausage, red pepper and onion and all the ingredients tasted really fresh. Kids got their own thin crust cheese and pepperoni 8” pizzas and loved them, too.
