My husband and I enjoyed a delicious lunch here with our dogs! We stopped in after exploring a bit in Acadia, and the service and food were so warm and welcoming! We sat with our dogs in a heated yurt on the deck - they have tons of blankets and cozy chairs to keep you warm alongside the space heater. They even brought a little water bowl for our dogs! We had lobster rolls and fries and a local beer, and it was all delicious. So grateful we found this place and got to enjoy a hot meal with our pups!

Is 10 stars possible?!? It should be for this restaurant! Food is amazing and excellent portions for the price. We came for lunch and saw the awesome outdoor seating option! We decided to come back for dinner and experience the igloo seating. Heaters and blankets were provided to keep you warm! We love this experience and would definitely come back! Tip: Make reservations for the outdoor seating in advance (it allows them to warm it up for you). Best food was lobster tacos and chicken pot pie.

This was such a great dinner after our trip in from Portland. We are staying at the Kimball Terrace Inn which adjoins the restaurant. Our server, Ranee, was extremely patient and helpful with directions up the mountain for the sunrise and time we should leave to see it. She was also great in recommending an NA beer for my brother in law which he loved! The lobster rolls were great! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming! Outdoor terrace dining looked so so great, overlooking Northeast Harbor, but it was chilly and spitting rain. Just as we were leaving, the band was setting up for live music.

My wife and I had dinner at Nor’Easter on a cold winter evening, and we both had a warm and wonderful experience. The service and food were outstanding, and this was the best dinner experience we had during our recent visit to the area. The fish and lobster were fresh and cooked perfectly. Our waitress was lots of fun and very responsive to our requests. There was also a live band with great music that made it a perfect evening. We would not hesitate to return whenever we come back to visit the area in the future.

Visited during our trip to Acadia/Bar Harbor. Was impressed with the ambiance as with the “Pound” in their name I was expecting it to be less casual than what it was. Lobster and steak were delicious and live band was entertaining. Rolls with the dinner were okay but everything but the corn and attentive service more than made up for it. We were there for 8p dinner and were done by 9:00p and that’s with me ordering a second lobster entree!

Lovely eatery with good views, quick service and good food that doesn't burn a hole through your pocket! The tacos were great except I thought it could use a little more salt.

Just about the only place left in town that has not closed for the season, so we would have settled for toasted cardboard by the time we made our way here for a LATE lunch. What a pleasant surprise! The hot crab dip appetizer was *delicious.* My husband is a wing connoisseur and felt like these "were not anything to write home about." On the other hand he loved the parmesan truffle fries, and wished he'd just gotten those and TWO Sutton lobster rolls (until he saw the bill, but it's vacation). I ordered the fish and chips with rosemary fries, and enjoyed that very much. I am not usually a fan of tartar sauce, but theirs really tied the meal together-- lovely dill flavor. Washed it down with a draft Allagash white. I would come here again and get the exact same meal.

Wow. Everything was so fresh and delicious. The mussels were absolutely perfect, sauce was very creamy! Crab dip is filled with crab and tasted amazing. Fish was perfectly crispy , fries were a bit salty but still good. Little pricey but worth it. Service was great. We sat outside, weather was perfect! I love this place.

Our party of 7 had an amazing and delicious dinner here during shoulder season in the fall. I have celiac disease,, so must remain scrupulously gluten free, and this restaurant was simply perfect. We had haddock and cauliflower bite appetizers, steamed lobsters, several fried platters, cauliflower tacos, fish and chips, and a chicken sandwich for our non-seafood-lover. There is something for everyone and the food was outstanding! Service was also good, especially considering the very short staffing that happens at this time of year. Our waitstaff was friendly, patient and helpful. We have been coming to Acadia for 50 years, this was our first visit but it will absolutely not be the last!!!

This was the best meal of my stay here! Lobster tacos were recommended by another customer and that was the best advice I’ve ever taken. Definitely get the mussels appetizer too if you come here! The view of the water is another perk :)

We had the delightful experience of eating in the Igloo!! What we really liked was that it was warm, scenic, and something we hadn't initially thought of, was that it was very private. Conversations can be had without anyone hearing anything. A delightful time, nice server, excellent food!

Had the fried haddock sandwich with truffle aioli fries. Delicious. Our server was lovely and treated our table of six like family. Great night out. Several people had the fish tacos and they were not only popular but tasty.

Great location in Northeast Harbor. I got the Lunch IPA and it was so tasty. The Haddock Bites we're really good. The Old Bay seasoning on the fries was so yummy! Our server Dan was amazing and so helpful.

Discovering Nor'Easter was like finding a lobster in a haystack—pure luck! We were on a mission to throw a memorable Christmas bash for our team in Minnesota, and what screams "holiday cheer" louder than 70 live lobsters waltzing through the door? Thanks to Nor'Easter, that's exactly what we got. In less than 24 hours, our crustacean guests of honor arrived, ready to turn our party into a seafood extravaganza.

Now, here's where it gets impressive: these lobsters must have been wearing their winter coats because even after a day of not cooking them (we got a bit sidetracked by the eggnog and holiday karaoke), every single one was still kicking—fresh as the Minnesota snow. It's not every day you find service that delivers faster than Santa on Christmas Eve, with pricing that doesn't make you feel like you're funding his whole operation.

Big shoutout to the team at Nor'Easter for their stellar service, lightning-fast response, and for making sure our holiday party was one for the books. If lobsters could talk, I'm sure they'd say "Thank you" too, but since they can't, we'll say it for them: Thank you, guys, for everything! You've got yourselves a fan club in Minnesota.

We’ve eaten here many times and are never disappointed…great food and service and fun atmosphere. Today I tried the Fried Seafood Trio (clams, shrimp, and haddock). It was delicious! My wife tries to get me to eat gluten-free but I don’t like the taste or texture. This meal was made In their gluten free fryer and you would never know. My new favorite! The Best!

I reserved a table for myself and my dog as I heard this place was dog friendly. It sure was! Everyone was friendly and the food was delicious. We had the fresh catch, which was haddock over a bed of risotto that had tomatoes & asparagus and was topped with a sort of chimichurri sauce that was greens/herbs, garlic & citrus. The haddock was cooked to perfection & well seared. We also had 4 oz butter lobster with chips. While lobster was good, our favorite was the haddock, and I only got a good 5 bites before it was gone. We used the leftover risotto with eggs & mushroom in the morning for breakfast, along with a ginger snap cookie to have with coffee.

After spending hours looking for lobster during the off season, finally found one. The lobster tasted fresh, and it's the only place that is clean and have nice decor.

This is their first time opening for the winter.

The real bar harbor ale is really refreshing!

This past weekend we hosted a small wedding reception of 30 people at nor’easter and we could not have been happier. Phil was our contact at the restaurant throughout the whole process, answering countless emails and many calls. He was detail oriented and a joy to work with. I really feel like he cared about the outcome just as much as I did. The food, SO MUCH FOOD was delicious. All of my guests were raving about the food and many planned to visit again before traveling home. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling in area!
