The Silo Restaurant

Fantastic place! We came here after our boy graduated Navy basic. We went with the deep dish supreme pizza. It was very good. Service was great and the beer was cold and refreshing. Good place to bring your new sailor!

First visit to Silo’s was one week ago. My husband has visited this restaurant for a couple of years while on business trips to the area and this was my first time. We ordered a 14 in Taco Pizza with thin crust ($24.99) to share and it was really really good. Not many restaurants make a taco pizza and if they do, it’s not nearly as tasty as this one. Deep Dish is the specialty in this area but the thin crust on this pizza was perfect.
Our server (Kylie) was friendly, very personable and just awesome.
The restaurant is really a great environment. There are model trains close to the ceiling, Pennie’s make up the floor in the men’s restroom. The dining room is quite large and there is a nice bar area. We saw several people picking up take out as we were coming in and leaving the restaurant. Out of our whole week visiting the area, this is one of my two most favorite restaurants to experience.

Food is fantastic tonight we had French onion soup and tuna melts my friend ordered a cheeseburger. The pizza here is also really good!! This restaurant is very good and always crowded! They have a delicious dessert menu as well!! I loved eating here tonight and will return!!

This place was recommended to us and did not disappoint! Everything we tried was amazing, hands down best meatball and chili I've ever had at a restaurant.

This was a great spot for Chicago style pizza! We had both meat lovers and supreme. They have very generous servings. Not to mention the price is very reasonable especially for the salads. You don’t see prices like that in Texas for healthier options. I would definitely go back if I’m in the area. Our server was also the bartender but he didn’t skip a beat!!!

My only regret is being from out of town and finding The Silo on the last day! Everything was perfect, all of it. I will find a way to come back, even if I have to shorten a flight and drive more!

Certainly one of the best pizza pies one will find in Chicagoland (surely one of my top three choices). Much better than other big names around. 100% recommend.

This is a unique place and the food is very good...I will say the highlight was the seafood pizza that's was beyond tasty and if I visit again that's what I want (lol) the combination 1 of wings onion rings and fried pickels this was tasty and great the share, the raspberry Chipotle favorite wings different and good the signature macaroni was just okay...it was cheesy though but not what I expected, I would recommend this place

My husband and I moved to the area about a year ago and we always like to have a go-to pizza place in our neighborhood. We heard good things about Silo's pizza and after trying it ourselves we were hooked!! We always order the thin crust with sausage, pepperoni, and fresh garlic, and it never disappoints. Highly recommend.

I'm traveling in the area and went looking for pizza and wings... This is the place I landed on. It was delicious. The waitress (Riley M according to my recipe) needs a raise, go ahead and quadruple her average hourly wage. Make sure to include tips in getting your average and make that her base plus tips on top of that. With that said. The wings were on point. On point! The pizza was delicious even if a style I'm not familiar with. Whatever! It was tasty. Go here. Give them money in exchange for good and services, tip 25%+ at least. Call it a glorious day and retire for the evening into a good coma of happiness.

Been coming to this landmark restaurant off & on for well over 20 years now and never gets old. Not just a Lake Bluff favorite but a county favorite and even a Chicagoland wonder.

Superb all around menu with a fine beer/cocktail/wine menu as well. This venue is not only bolstered by it's exceptional customer service but indeed has delicious food (especially the pizza) and a cool sports bar.

The SILO is always busy whether it's flooded with takeout orders at lunchtime during the work week from customers of many nearby businesses like Abbott, Abbvie, car dealerships, etc. and any days they're open lunch or dinner.

Always glad to support a local business and I wish the owner(s) continued success and prosperity.

Super cool spot recommended to me by a local as the best deep dish pizza in North Chicago, and they were right! Also, they had one of the best meatballs I have ever had, hands down! I will be going back every time I'm in the area. As a bonus, the waitress told us that the house from Home Alone was only like 15 minutes away, so we went and saw that too!

Last time I was there was over 30 (Great back then too) years ago and this was the first time I brought my wife and boys. They loved it! Garlic bread, mozzarella sticks, deep dish , this crust all delicious. Thanks!!

We wanted to try some authentic Chicago cuisine, we were there for my daughter's graduation. We tried the Chicago style pizza it was great. We liked the old style set up. They have a good amount of choices so everyone can try something different.

Deep dish pizza was great and the deserts also.

Riley was courteaus, recommended a deep dish style of pizza, and was very caring she came by to ask if I needed something more than 6 times!!
The queueing in this place was to the bare minimum!!

Great food and great service, the Hallmark of a good restaurant. Their personal specialty pizzas are amazing. I got the deep dish rather than the pan and the dough was light and crispy. It didn't sit heavy on you like many deep dish pizzas do.

Pasta with meatballs makes me happy and I am very happy after this dinner. I started the meal with an order of fried mushrooms and finished with the pasta, now it's nap time. My wife had the half slab of ribs and she described them as being very tender and cooked to perfection. Pictures are below but don't do justice to the actual food. I will be back....got my eye on some pizza ..

We had our rehearsal dinner here with 40+ people on a Friday night. Several other venues would not take large groups on Fridays, so we really appreciated The Silo’s flexibility. They gave us half of the upstairs, which was perfect for the group. We did salad and pizzas —all amazing as always—and then were allowed to bring in our own dessert. We were also easily able to add a few additional items in the moment to accommodate dietary restrictions. Everyone said the pizza was fantastic, and overall, it was affordable and easy. Highly recommend.
