I visited this remote park on a Monday afternoon in the month of May as the spring leaves were just starting to appear. The only sounds that could be heard were that of birds. The primary amenities of the park are a few campsites, a canoe launch area—complete with steps down to the White River—and a single pit toilet. It is a very beautiful area and reminds me of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. During my visit, I took a number of 360 panoramic photos. Check them out in Google Street View to get the full virtual reality experience. If you enjoy quiet and beautiful natural surroundings, then this park is definitely worth a visit.

This camp ground is fantastic! It has stairs to the river and public bathrooms and garbage cans. Picnic tables and several good picture spots. We stop here on our way down the river. Wish there was more flat ground for tents but perfect for hammock camping.

This could be an amazing camping spot. Two large sites that will hold up to 8 guests each. Nice staircase down to the white river. It’s a shallow river but kayaking is still possible when water is high. And it really feeling like your all alone out in the middle of no-where. Now the downside. I don’t think this is monitored by the DNR or anyone else by that matter. My night consisted of setting up camp and making a fire in one of the provided rings. First I had to empty the ring out of all the trash left by the last tenant. The pit was over flowing. By what was in it I think it was a pretty good party. Then after 2 hours of being the only soul out there and enjoying peace and quiet another solo camper showed up in a Jeep. He had no tent or camping gear just a lunchbox full of Budweiser and at least 3 packs of cigarettes. He never paid the camping fee so I thought he was just blowing off some steam before heading home. He stayed for a few hours playing his music from his car speakers at full volume then left without even putting out his campfire. I enjoyed about an hour of solitude before he returned to ruin the rest of the evening for me. I think he just went for more cigs. About 11:30 he finally took off for the night. Leaving his cans in the fire pit and his cig butts everywhere else. Now I’m not exactly sure how to solve these kinds of problems but I wish something could be done. I will try again to see if it was just a one time thing. But if it continues I’ll head over to Oak Knoll Campground. It’s only about 50 yards from the entry road to Diamond point but at least people are respectful campers there.

Jan 3,2023 … went over to enjoy some winter camping hoping to see a nice backwoods camp on the river. I Saw what was there and left. 2 spots is what they have and both spots were beat up pretty bad. There was alot of car traffic just in the 10 min i was there 7 vehicles came through and a few folks stopping to hike the river trail. to many people and traffic for me so i moved on to a different area up North. In the photos are a pic of both sites the trucks on site #2 ,,, the pit toilet is closed for the season for you folks who are afraid to go in the woods.

Good river access, but only 2 campsites and the entire area is absolutely littered with trash.
