Definitely would stay here again. Room was clean, staff was friendly and the gift shop was great as well. Cable and wifi, easy access to Acadia and other nearby parks/trails. Northeast Harbor is a relaxed small town vibe better in my opinion than the jam packed Bar Harbor.

Top notch two star motel. Is not quaint. It’s not fancy. It’s not romantic. No room service, no breakfast, etc. It’s a well run simple motel that’s kept very clean. If you choose the harbor view it’s very nice with a small balcony overlooking the water. Location is great. Easy access to the park and swimming at Seal Harbor beach.

Walls are not thick so if you have a raucous neighbor you might be out of luck.

Absolutely loved everything about this hotel. Rhonda at the front desk was super helpful and so nice. It was refreshing to see someone have such great customer service skills. The location was perfect. The restaurant attached was delicious. We will be booking another stay here.

The staff was great. Nice room. It was foggy in the morning and evening plus out and about during the day never really got to enjoy hanging out at the hotel. Nice little gift shop inside. The restaurant next door was good. The only complaint is the walls seem thin. The people above us were so loud at like 10:30pm and their kids were up running around. That was a bit rude on their part.

My mom and I stayed here for two nights. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The rooms and bathroom were very clean. The room we stayed in had a view of the Marina and a balcony. It was reasonably priced especially for its location. It is a short drive from Acadia National Park.We would definitely stay here again if we come back up to the area.

Went on a 6 day vacation in Main following the coastal area, wish we had more time here. Great staff with complete and clean rooms. Best stay of whole trip.

Out of the way but everything was great. I traveled 30 years for work and this place was perfection in common areas, room, grounds and friendly staff. The attached restaurant was excellent.

We stayed there for two nights during the July Fourth weekend. I was worried about the room quality and location cause it was only a two stars hotel and a bit of a hike from the main attractions. Well my fear was unfounded. The hotel was built in 1971 but it is in great shape! The room is LARGE and clean! Furnitures are newer, definitely not your grandpa's old furniture from the 70s. The bathroom is also large, clean and updated. The room is plenty for my family of four adults. Our room was on the second floor and looked out to the mariner. It was nice.

Check in was quick. The young lady was friendly and efficient. Coffee is free in the lobby. They also have tea, hot water, and a microwave.

It takes about 15-20 min to Acadia NP, depending on where you go. Bar Harbor is about 20 min. I find the distance not a problem at all. There is so much to see, we only stayed in our rooms to sleep. Our rate is high but reasonable since it's July Fourth. I would have to easily pay 30-50% more if staying in Bar Harbor.

One caveat is the hotel appeared to be built in wooden structure. We could hear noises upstairs and outside when people move around. Another downside is that the choice of restaurants is very limited in the area. The onsite restaurant was just ok.

Beautiful views of Northeast harbor and marina! Rooms are spotless and new feeling! Awesome interactions with staff! Nice quiet area, huge lawn and nice outdoor pool along with an on site restaurant/bar with outdoor deck. It's truly a perfect setting 15 minutes away from the bustle of Bar Harbor. I would definitely come back again!

This was the only place I could find a room on the island, and I feared it was for a bad reason. I was so delighted to see that our room was super clean and the Inn had lovely views, tidy and comfortable pool area, and was walking distance to a cute downtown area. I had never spent time in the north east harbor and I was so pleasantly surprised to find it quaint, welcoming, and quiet compared to bar harbor. The southwest harbor was also a sweet nearby area to explore.

The rooms at Kimball Terrace are humbly furnished, but squeaky clean. To the management - upgrades to pillows and perhaps new mattresses or mattress toppers would be fantastic!

This place is so sweet! They have dog-friendly rooms with a modest additional fee. Sliding glass door to a little patio, and we're peeping at a nice green stretch of grass, a lovely harbor with boats. Great view, walkable to shops and restaurants if you need to, spacious, clean room. We stayed on a slow night, but met a few good-natured staff, responsibly masked.

I recently stayed at Kimball for three days in the first week of October. It was a wonderful stay! The rooms and the bathroom were all clean when we got there. Staff was accommodating and are wearing masks.

The inn is very quiet. I barely saw anyone there (probably because it’s already October). There’s free coffee and tea down in the lobby and a microwave as well. No free breakfast but there is a restaurant attached to the inn. We had takeouts there, it was good, but supposedly more expensive compared to restaurants outside the inn.

We couldn’t test the pool as it was freezing! We were on the second floor and had a nice balcony view of the pool, boats across the inn and farther view of the mountains. It was very serene to look at.

There’s free WIFI but not the best service—still okay though. There’s television, good cable—regular size TV but we didn’t really mind. AC is old but does its job.

I’d probably come back to stay here again since it’s close to Acadia Park and the price is very cheap. It’s close to most places, like 15 min drive to Bar Harbor where the real action is.

If you’re not extremely high maintenance and literally only want to find a place for sleeping and basic needs, this is the place.

Clean and correct.
The location is great to visit Acadia. The swimming pool is a pleasant extra. The restaurant Nor'easter is great for diner. For breakfast I would recommend to grab a cup of the complimentary NewEngland coffee featured at the reception and walk a short stroll to the Colonel from freshly baked wonders to dunk into the coffee.

This place is very close to Acadia national park. Rooms are spacious, clean and I’m impressed with how well the bathrooms are clean too. Also has good views of the Marina. I’d go back again. Overall, very happy with our stay!

Cozy place with a rustic feel in a beautiful location just about 20 mins to Acadia and Cadillac mountains. They still have keys to open doors to your room which was a good change from all the fobs that everyone is used to these days. The only drawback is there are not a lot of restaurants and food options if you are not a big fan of seafood or especially if you are a vegetarian.

Good views from the first floor and also ample parking spots available at this place. The room was sizeable and clean too. Very close to Acadia national park, but you would have to drive a bit to find different food options, especially if you are a vegetarian.

This is an older dog friendly hotel with a great view of the harbor. We stayed three nights and had a great time. We had no issues with the wi-fi. The hotel is very close to Acadia National Park. If you ever get to Maine, look this place up. I know we will be staying there again.

Great location and great staff.
I came with low expectations and was surprised in a good way.
The only thing that needs to be changed is the blankets which are too small and too thin.
There's also a good restaurant right next to the inn.
