Kalamazoo County Administration Building

Walked in was ignored. There were 3 people at desks that could clearly see me and never said a word. Finally someone came to the counter to first tell me I was standing in the wrong spot and then rudely telling me my paperwork was incorrect. Why are our Government agency allowed to act so unprofessional??

If would be great if the County ID requirements list was provided in Spanish as well.

There is no way practice social distancing in the lobby while going into the Treasurer's Office or the Clerk's Office. The lady in the information booth doesn't enforce the mask policy, the people in line are taking off their masks to talk on phones or to other people in the line. The people who come in for paperwork come in groups of 3 or more people they leave one person standing in line then they crowd around people they don't know or employees while leaning on the walls or blocking doorways. It's obvious that the County Administrator and the County Commissioners only care about how much money they can earn from the different offices but they don't really care about keeping the public safe or their employees for that matter since no one is enforcing the social distancing rule or the mask policy in the building. To keep yourself and your family safe I would recommend doing as much as you can through the mail.

The clerks office is consistently rude. I don't get it! Some of the workers in there, what's their deal? Why are they so rude?

I'm fairly confident no one works here. Phone rings for 20 mins with no answer. Over a year to still be fighting to get my sons birth certificate that they cashed the check for but never sent out. I'm contacting Better Business Bureau.

I'd give 0 stars if I could. It's probably less hassle to move to a different city, than to get an appointment here. The website says that you need an appointment, and to send an e-mail to set one up. I've e-mailed 3 times, it's been over a week, and I have not gotten a response. I've tried calling, but they don't answer the phone.

I called and couldn't get through to anyone. So I emailed and still no one got ahold of me. I need to get my drivers license renewed but I have some questions and I can't move forward without my questions being answered. They really need to get their act together.

Absolutely worthless Secretaries at the counter that ignore you for 10 minutes and then say that they dont accept paperwork after a specific time. They said on the phone 5 minutes after that specific time that I could drop them off still that day. Either need to be retrained or replaced with people that actually do their jobs and dont waste everyone's time

Worst time getting in contact with anyone. I know there is Covid issues but after nearly 5 months of this it seems they could figure out a safe and efficient way of handling business so that people don't have to take time off work to try to get paperwork in.

They have the same problem on all of these reviews and I've seen nothing positive. All NEGLECT to the public with phone service and responses. It appears that the neglect goes so far that there is no effort to make proper changes with all of these reviews. I've never been there or called and I'm not going to try. POSTED

Just left the county clerks office to get clarity around an issue with paperwork and one the lady that was working with me abruptly cut me off and walked back to her desk without closure or sufficiently answering my inquiry. Undignified interaction and left with more questions about how they treat customers along with none of my original inquiries answered.

Can’t even answer their phones and they close at 3pm. Any person who works for a living, has to take time off to go there. Taking a gamble on their time since they don’t even have the decency to answer a phone call to tax payers that pay their salaries.

Says call between 9-12 and 1-3. I've called 24 times since 9 am and all I get is a message that's says there not available. Doesn't give an option to leave a message or wait, just hangs up on you. This is BS.

Called every day for a week 3 to4 times a day it gives a recording and won’t take a message then hangs up.

Everyone here is rude, no one ever answers the phone, and almost always they are very unhelpful. I hate this place
