Great food and service! They have several different types of mole and I like to combine a couple of flavors on top of enchiladas. All of them are great! There is plenty of space for a group and I like to site on the patio. Everyone is so kind and helpful here as well. I really enjoy this restaurant!

I'm not usually a Mexican food fan but this was amazing! I ordered the chicken burritos. They were large and just stuffed with meat. We had home made guacamole that was out of this world! Our server was amazing. Not a fan of the parking/road this restaurant is on. Drive cautious.

Fantastic place! It was highly recommended and I think a fan favorite! I cot the combo plate. A ton of food and it was all delicious. I also had a margarita. Nice to get a real margarita for once.

Always a great experience. We were seated immediately we arrived around 1:30 generally there's a good hour wait after 5:00. I order the Puntas De Filete which came with flour tortillas and refried beans. My Wife ordered Pechuga Poblana, which also came with corn tortillas. We were also served complimentary chips and salsa which tasted fresh. Every bite of our meal was flavorful. One of our most favorite Mexican restaurants in Salt Lake City. They were also on Diners Drive-Ins and dash. You will not be disappointed, go early or else you'll have a wait! Service by Joselyne was always with a smile and making sure we had everything we needed multiple times throughout our mail.

I enjoyed the 20 dollar plate that had 1 of everything I think it’s called the iguana or the red iguana just like the place. First red iguana had 30-45 minute wait so we came here. Was only 15 minute wait here, much shorter. Great food, server was prompt and refilled my Pepsi multiple times. Will come back and tell friends .

What a great restaurant! The servers are on top of things and do a great job. The food is absolutely delicious too. Everything I tried was so good! The carnitas plate, tacos de carne asada, tres leches, and they have seven different mole flavors I think. Pretty decent prices too.
It is definitely a popular place so making a reservation is a good idea. They have two smallish parking lots and some street parking. They also do curbside pickup with dedicated parking spots.

I visited Red Iguana for lunch around noon. As a solo diner, I was promptly seated despite the restaurant being quite busy at that hour (consider making a reservation). I was promptly served with fresh chips and salsa upon seating.

Opting for the mixed platter (Red Iguana) as my main course turned out to be an excellent choice. The plate offered a delightful assortment of 4 or 5 different dishes (not including the accompanying rice and beans). It was a fantastic opportunity to sample their standout dishes. The meal arrived promptly, and the attentive server checked on me several times to ensure I had everything I needed. The pricing was also quite reasonable.

I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment. Just a friendly tip: given the generous portions, try not to overindulge in the chips and salsa at the start!

You can’t go to Salt Lake without stopping in at Red Iguana for some delicious tacos, burritos or enchiladas. I had the enchiladas Verdes and the Tacos a la Iguana. This totally satisfied my craving for delicious Mexican food.

We drove 50+ miles from Davis County to eat at Red Iguana! We have never been disappointed with the food, service or drinks.
Today we went for a late lunch and were seated and greeted in less than 2 minutes. The chips and salsa are always delicious. I ordered the pechuga poblana, the tomatillo sauce was homemade and today tastes extra delicious! The praws are massive, I could only eat two and I saved 1/2 the chicken for later. I ordered a salad instead of rice and beans. My husband ordered the puntas de filete, it comes with a pumpkin mole sauce and it's hands down my favorite sauce! (I ate a few bites of his 😆)
Overall it was worth the drive as always, and we will be back!

Red iguana is my favorite place in Salt Lake for Mexican food. Normally I get the same dishes, but this time I decided to try something new. I ordered the mango enchiladas & they were phenomenal. I definitely have another favorite now that I've tried it, but honestly I've never had anything I didn't enjoy from the menu

We decided to eat at the bar today. Great service. Food is always good! This is our favorite location. Parking can be packed at times but we just love the staff here. 5 stars!

I had been to the original Red Iguana but hadn’t been here yet until my latest visit to Salt Lake City. And #2 did not disappoint! The food was excellent, as was the service. I’ll be back on our next visit to SLC for sure. Highly recommended.

For years, I wasn't a fan of Red Iguana because I was getting the wrong thing for my preferences. This time, I tried one of the combination plates that came with a beef taco, and an enchilada, and a chili relleno. This dish comes with rice and beans, and it is out of this world! Before ordering, we got the mole sampler, and I was able to mix and match two moles on my enchilada. The chips and salsa are also amazing, and my boyfriend's dinner was delicious! The fried ice cream is some of the best I've had! If you go here, get the fried ice cream as dessert!

The service was professional, friendly, and fast. Our water was always topped off, and they kept checking on us to see if we needed anything.

The ambiance is fun and lively, even during more mellow times.

I would come here every week if I could! I love this place!

Best Mexican restaurant in Salt Lake City. Not as crowded as original Red Iguana 1 but food is just as unique. Many types of mole used in dishes such as enchiladas suiza with poplano mole.

Best for having mole. I had mole chicken. It was delicious. I love the tortillas, they were fluffy and perfect with mole.
Atmosphere is excellent. They have option of open air area to dine.

Service was excellent. Server was attentive and he also follow up if there is any additional items we need.

Must visit this place.

I've eaten here several times and the food is amazing! I ordered the Red Iguana tacos with chicken. Very delicious. I asked for no tomatoes and there were not tomatoes anywhere. The service was fast and prompt and they were extremely efficient.

I’ve been coming to Salt Lake City for years, but I had never made it to the Red Iguana. I’m so happy I came at last — it was wonderful! The fun, bold, cheery ambiance, the impeccable service, and the FOOD. Wow!

Chips and salsa were brought to the table immediately, and my beer quickly followed. I knew I wanted one of their famous mole dishes, but the wealth of choices made choosing a challenge. When I asked my fabulous waiter Victor about the differences, he brought me a dish that had a taste of all of the mole sauces. Now that is extraordinary service! I chose the Mole Poblano with chicken and savored every bite. It may be the best I’ve ever had, surpassing even what I ate in Puebla, Mexico, the origin of this mole. I ended the meal with a takeout order of flan, served with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. It did not disappoint!

I simply can’t recommend this restaurant strongly enough.

Just had the most amazing experience at Red Iguana! The wait wasn't too long, in fact, I think the food came out quicker than my decision-making skills. The service was so friendly and efficient, I felt like I was being served by a team of ninjas with impeccable footwork. The atmosphere was so vibrant and lively, I almost forgot I was in a restaurant and thought I was at a fiesta! Definitely a must-visit spot for delicious food and a toe-tapping good time.
