Pines Motel

Rustic, has electric, bathroom, refrigerator. Old but very well kept. Clean grounds. Affordable. Family owned. We slept well. Will return.

This place is not huge or fancy instead its quaint and personable which in my book is way better and more appealing to our big family. We were welcomed just like any other guest and didn't have to worry about other guests in and out of their rooms and in hallways at all hours of the nights cause the cabins have their own doors right in the beautiful forest. Bugs were minimal so much that I didn't even have to spray my kids with poison to keep them safe which is a big bonus. The rooms were super affordable which again for a big family is great!

I do not for the life of me know why there are some negative reviews for this motel. Some of them made me leary about this place. But I have not experience any of these negative review's. We arrived yesterday for a two night stay.(our first time here) We were greeted by a super nice owner. She was polite and helpful during my registration. Out room is very comfortable and clean. The beds are fresh smelling and comfortable. The first morning we were here. The owner knocked at our door and ask if we needed anything. Plus as we grilled on the provided grills in the court yard she came out and ask me if I needed a spatula. There were several others in the court yard, and they told us this was not their first time here. And the owners have always been polite and helpful to them. I not only want to come back next year I want to come back this fall. Goes to show you. Don't believe everything people write negative about a place. Clean, friendly, comfortable.

Doug was so kind and he helped us out when we had a last minute family incident and had to cancel our reservation. Much appreciation and recommend them for sure simply because they are compassionate folks. Hope to stay here another time.

We decided on a last minute trip across the lake to Pentwater. Called to see if we could still get a room when we arrived at 10pm, was told no problem. Check in was easy. Room is exactly what one would expect at a country motel. Everything was clean, bed was comfortable and AC worked. Since we arrived on boat , we had no car. The owner offered us a ride back the marina. Talk about great service. Would recommend to anyone visiting Pentwater. Please note , I gave it 5 stars based on experience. It is not a 5 star hotel in the typical meaning. It is a rustic motel , but a good rustic motel.

Stayed here a couple times now and I will continue to return as often as possible. The owners are super, the location is perfect, the rates are competitive, and although the amenities are not what you should expect from a Wyndam Grand, the rustic cabins and decor amongst the lush wooded setting is spot on!!! There's charcoal grills for guests to use, plenty of picnic tables and outdoor seating, plenty of parking in front of back for vehicles with trailers or campers, and even a big ol' buck pole for those who are successful on their hunt. Just down the road from beautiful downtown Pentwater, and a very short drive from US 31 the opposite direction makes this place one of Oceana County's little gems in my book! 😊❤ I would most definitely recommend Pines Motel for anyone. Be it a single person, couples, or families. Keep up the good work!!!

We were just there a couple weeks ago for our third time staying after finding them while just driving through last year. We love coming here! The owners are so nice and we can't wait to get back before summer ends!!

The owners are so nice and helpful and the motel is rustic and very homey. Would go here over a hotel any day. So close to downtown and the beach. Gives you that "up north cottage" kind of vibe. Will be coming back for sure!

This motel is amazing! I love the giant refrigerator, tv, beds, etc. Exactly what you would expect in a hotel. Service is great, everything is amazing. Definitely deserves 5 stars

The Pines is an older property, quaint and rustic. Clean, quiet, nice. Will not hesitate to stay here again. Try it, you'll like it!
