Tawas City Shoreline Park

2024-04-14: Tawas City Shoreline Park is a nice little park. It has beautiful grass, a sandy beach, covered pavilions, and a nice, paved pier jutting out into Tawas Bay. There is also a non-coin operated viewing machine.

They have art/craft fairs all the time here, and it's usually a nice place to visit even without the fairs. There is ample parking and great room to spread out on the sand. They also have a park and public bathroom. A great (and less busy) beach to visit when you're not here during a holiday. It's also pretty dog friendly.

Such a great park and always clean! We love being able to use the pavilion and keep an eye on our kids at the same time. The kids love the playground and all of the fun activities. Did I mention it's GORGEOUS?!

This beach is fantastic for a casual stroll through the sand. It’s relatively clean, well-maintained, and is large enough that it’s not very difficult to find a secluded spot to lay out a blanket and rest.

Great little park along the shoreline of lake Huron. Little pier to walk out on and we have some excellent tacos from the little taco stand. Nice play area for the kids and the bathrooms were clean. Just wish the weather was nicer and we could of stayed longer!

Extremely very nice park. I really enjoy it when trucking delicious is there serving food, and if you haven't had it, it is a huge recommendation. I promise that the #6 is good. It's a Philly steak poboy, but other than that, there is a too stand and a peir to walk and plenty of beach space

Very beautiful beach. One side IS rocky but the other is very sandy and clear. I only wish there were more grills. Great way to spend an entire day.

I really like how the down town shops are right across the street from the lake! It is a very beautiful place. (The pictures with the boat sail support sticking out of the water is from a nice size sailboat, with a cabin that sank right next to the pier and has been there for almost a year. The owner sailed from Chicago, let it sink, and now the city is having problems locating him),

Beautiful beach! Bathrooms were EXCEPTIONALLY clean! Lovely place for a quick stop or an all day visit!

It was a week day plus cloudy when we went, so only around 3 other families...it was very easy to social distance 100 feet apart... However once the sun came out several other families came and since the beach is quiet small due to the water level being so high, we decided to leave.

This is a nice park with a pier, playground, and clean changing stations. Also has a snack shop in the middle in case you need food or drink while there. Good beach to relax on.

My daughter and I love playing here…Definitely One her favorite parks in Iosco county! Park Hopping is Our Thing and you just can’t beat being on Beautiful Lake Huron! Clean atmosphere and Safety/Security Reassurance with the Sheriffs Department being right across the street!

We always have Soo much fun here. We come From Bay city at least 3 or 4 times in the summer. The water is clean. A little rocky(tiny small rocks) but about 2 feet out nice and sandy. Also cool water and refreshing.
Much fun for the whole family.
We swim, pack a lunch and some drinks and make a whole day of it.

Excellent sand beach. Water clean, it's sandy and shallow entering with progression in depth it is still sand bottom. At one location we found a large number of grills and picnic tables spread out and a changing/ bathroom with large area and very clean. If looking for swimming, picnic, possible celebration destination go here.

Nice place to stop if you're from out of state for a beautiful picture and to walk the beach.

This is my very favorite beach in Michigan. The beach itself and the park are very well maintained. Tony's Tacos right on the beach is great food. And the water is amazing! It's beautiful, and shallow enough for kids for quite a ways out.

It was easy in and out, very clean, the bathrooms were brand new, also a cute small and new playground for kids id say 3-11ish. We're home and talked about going back again another time. Also while there you have to try Tony's tacos!! So delicious

Plenty of picnic tables and playground equipment for the kids. Clean, very nice area!
