Gateway Park

Nice little park right off the road with some children's toys for them to play on. Ample parking and the lot was smooth, and well marked.
Super clean. Pavilion was in good shape. Not much beach area but a good spot for rock hunting.

I used to play here as a little kid and this equipment is still standing in great condition. I feel like it's a lot different than it used to be? Some of the toys are missing and when I played here it was all on sand. But still a cute, fun park and a nice place to stop for a break while your driving around

Always a fun stop while visiting Tawas! This is a nice park for the kiddos. It also has a covered Pavillion with picnic tables, and a clean bathroom.

A perfect place to pick up your Kayak after canoeing from Lake Tawas. It's a classic roadside park with old-timey playground statues and new pavilion. Bathrooms are very tidy. My adult kids have fond memories of this park from when they were little.

Nice park with a fantastic pavilion. They recently painted all of the play structures which are very nice now. The water is right here as well and there are places to fish the river here.

Coming here to this park brings me so much peace and serenity and I just love it! As you can see by these pictures I too can have fun as an adult😉

Nice park on lake Huron, sandy Beach, picnic area, rest rooms. Free entrance. Boat launch. No camping.

A beautiful park with a ton of fun obstacles for kids to play on. Wheelchair accessible and free parking. They also have a pavillion, bathroom and picnic tables.

Good park for kids. beach access and a free launch ramp. Its only about 5 feet deep as you enter the lake from the river but its all sand.

Great day to watch the boats and the people fishing

The kids loved being able to climb inside of the creatures at the park as well as how open it was so there were plenty of creatures to play on!

Nice pit stop for the long drive if you are following the coast. Not as busy as the main Tawas beach so bonus. Not much sand but perfect for pups to also swim and kids to play. Nice shaded pavilion to relax at. Stop for a picnic here you won't regret it

Gorgeous little park....even had fun on the animal figures (for the kid at heart people)

Fished in river outlet into Lake Huron. Had a great experience. White caps in Lake, and no fish caught. Had a patron issue with dog etiquette though. Nice clean bathrooms, boat launch and high end condos across river. I recommend it for picnics and fishing.

Great location, beautiful surroundings. Well maintained. Only lacking on restroom facilities. Good fishing or just watching the waves come in. Try visiting during the farmers market. I enjoy my stops at this park. A nice place for a quick break.
