The Bay Inn

My kids had a blast at the pool & my littlest loved the Jacuzzi. The room was very accommodating. The breakfast was amazing. They had something for everyone in my big family. Not one complaint.

Definitely recommend! This is easily our favorite hotel in Tawas, and we've stayed many times! Love the rooms, the pool, the hot tub, the breakfast, the atmosphere, the employees. Plenty of parking, comfortable/clean rooms, and lake across the street. Great place!

With 42 rooms, The Bay Inn is the second largest hotel in the Tawas / East Tawas area, and in my opinion the best hotel experience for the money!

We have stayed at the Bay Inn hotel since before it was the Bay Inn, and was a Days Inn hotel. Though in previous years, it had what I would call a rough patch, the current ownership has really done a terrific job, updating and refreshing the hotel.

The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. One of the best features of the hotel is the breakfast area containing plenty of seating and plenty of breakfast items, including hot items in the morning.

The good sized pool and hot tub are another strong suit for this hotel. The entire pool area is always well-maintained and clean.

The only drawback is that it is located at the south end of Tawas, which, if you are doing most of your activities in East Tawas is a bit of a drive due to the very low posted speed limit.

The staff were all very polite, friendly and helpful and the rooms were immaculate.The pricing is commensurate with similar Hotels and finally the "continental breakfast" is so much more than a bowl of cold cereal and a tiny carton of milk. I highly recommend the Bay Inn.

When we got to tawas our family wasn't exactly sure where we were going to stay. The place we arrived to was a little further then where we wanted to be. However, we were told to come to bay inn and I'm glad we did. We ended up staying our entire trip to tawas here. This is one of the cleanest hotels we have ever stayed at. The towels always smell fresh whenever you need to get one for the pool. The bedding was clean and fresh smelling as well as the room itself. Employees were all very kind. Breakfast is ready in the morning with a variety of different choices. The hotel was quiet and no riff raff. It's a safe place and owned by an owner who you can tell just by how clean it is, actually cares about the place. Keep up the great work. My family will definitely come back here.

Super clean room! Bathroom was immaculate. Huge king size bed. Dresser, desk, comfy leather chair. Window that opens with a screen on it! Breakfast and coffee and juice in the morning until 10 am. Pool and hot tub open 8 am- 11 pm. Great experience will definitely be back!

We have stayed here a number of times and always have a great experience. We recently needed to attend a funeral in town - in the middle of the busy tourist season. They were able to accomodate us with a room and when we arrived earlier than the normal check in time, they went out of their way to have our room ready so were were able to change for the service. OUTSTANDING customer service. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND them. They also serve a fantastic breakfast in the morning.

Absolutely loved this hotel. Love their indoor swimming pool and hot tub. The staff are friendly. Always checking to see if your stay is good. Oh and I for got to mention that the breakfast they serve is absolutely amazing lol. I will definitely be staying again.

location is alright, except it's not even on the bay, it's on the wrong side of the road, and the rooms don't even face the bay. Other than that, the rooms are nice, very clean and tidy. The pool room does face the bay which is still nice. Employees are friendly and helpful, overall, a great place to stay

Bays Inn across the lake makes stay at Tawas an enjoyable experience. Rooms are comfortable and clean. In room microwave, refrigerator, makes it feel at home. Complimentary internet service is easy to connect and allows to stay connected or work while indoors. New swimming pool and hot tub are fun for family. Staff is super friendly. Treadmill exercise machine, ample parking space are plus points. Highly recommend.

this is the 2nd time i stayed here. I stayed a year ago and they still had my info. It saved so much time. The rooms are very clean and the staff is very nice. Michelle was the front desk clerk when i checked in she is very friendly!

Stayed the night her after celebrating a retirement party. Only thing I would suggest is that you install a separate light switch in the bathroom. The fan wakes up my spouse.

I stayed in 2 different rooms while I was there both seemed very nice. Pool was open, definitely a bonus. Great price for being across the street from the water!!

Great staff, room's are clean, spacious and nice. It has a ice machine,breakfast bar, hot tub, pool n a sitting area with a fire place. Highly recommend 😃
