Ford Lake Park

Very lovely park with a great boat or kayak launch ramp that goes right into the water! Nice place to enjoy the waterfront views and the water. Most guests are pretty chill and are enjoying the water in a friendly, safe way on kayaks, canoes, small to medium sized power boats, and jet skis and most people avoid making big waves.

Simply beautiful, peaceful, and very clean park.

First time visiting, but won't be my last.

Nice, quaint park with a good dock. Not much entertainment activities, more for leisure strolls or a nice bike ride.

One of my favorite places to go for walks because of the beautiful scenery. The views of the lake are beautiful and I also enjoy all the greenery and birds chirping. There are 3 areas with shelters with picnic tables and grills as well as grills and picnic tables scattered around the park. Making this a great place for picnics and/or grilling out. This park also has multiple places for fishing including the boat ramp.

Great place for pickleball, tennis or walk by the lake. Also has boat launch.

This was my first time visiting even though I live super close. This park is gorgeous! Even the porta potties are clean. Tennis courts are big. I think generally there is a cost to enter but in the evenings it's free.

Summer Jazz Concert Series is awesome. Gerald Albright was fantastic. $5.00 for parking. Food Trucks, bring your own food and lawn chairs.

Went for a family walk on a Saturday morning and it was pretty nice and peaceful. It seems to be fairly well taken care of too.

Beautiful park with lake. Attend jazz concerts every Friday. Just love the ambiance.

Nice empty park for the cold, but nice views and playground for kids and trails for walking running and a boat launch. Tennis courts, you name it. Give it a try

State parks , public lake access, great time, lots of room, for all sizes of boats, pontoon, jet skis & canoes. Lots of fishing spots.

Summer Jazz Concert Series has a great venue at Ford Lake Park.

My two year old had a blast!! We didn't want to leave. We will be back again soon.

One of the nicest public boat launches in the area. Easy parking with boat trailers. Usually launch and boat during the week, never been there on weekends. Hardly any other boat traffic during the week. Never turned away because of no parking available. True, extra cost for being a non-resident of Washtenaw county, but definitely worth the cost ($20 for yearly non-resident boat launch permit). Always a very helpful park “ranger” on duty when Park is open....understand park closes at dusk, whatever time that is? Sundown? Never been harassed..... True, Ford Lake is not the cleanest water, but very nice scenery around the lake. What’s nice is it’s less than 10 minutes away!!!!

Loving the Summer Jazz series!

Been going there my WHOLE life!! LOVE Ford lake!!! The water gets algea around August but that's ok. Take the boat out there all season long. They have really cleaned it up over the last few years... So glad I can take my children there and share with them what my parents shared with me!!! Love the island in middle of lake!!! Love to anchor the boat in the cove across from the beach and just chill for a few hours. Would DEFINITELY recommend this park to EVERYONE!!!! LOVE IT!!!!

This park has a nice combination of shaded walk ways, grassy areas, a small beach and a boat ramp.
There are a few pavilions available for get together soon with bathrooms and grills.
For families with kids there are also 2 small play structures.
Other options include a baseball court, racket ball and tennis courts.
And now there are also pickleball courts.
It's one of the cleanest parks in the Ypsilanti area.

Come here often with my family whenever I'm in Michigan. It's great for riding a jet ski if you have one, minimal waves so you can go really fast. I think there is only one shelter but there are plenty of picnic benches. They also have tennis, basketball and volleyball courts

Went some of the summer Jazz concerts... So amazing. Well organized, great weather, Fabulous music!! Can't wait till next summer 🙂
