I got my hair cut here last week, and my bff got her make-up done- I LOVE MY NEW HAIRCUT!!! IM LIKE OBSESSED WITH MY NEW LOOK- I swear I do double takes in the mirror now because I'm like "oh hellooo there! OH WAIT THAT'S MEEEE"
And Rana's make-up looked fabulous, her eye-liner broke a thousand hearts #slaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay

Amazing :) From the moment I walked in, the private suite was inviting and Delal made me feel so comfortable. Being that this was my first appointment with her, she started off with a brief but thorough consultation before she touched my hair. For a while now, I had been wanting something bold for fall and she delivered, giving me a deep Auburn and Violet color that complimented every part of my look from my eyes to my skin color. I have complete faith and trust in letting her work on my hair (and that is something I find very hard to do with a new hair stylist!) Thank you so much for giving me just what I wanted, D, and making sure I left a happy, satisfied, and confident client. Hands down, best hair experience I've ever had!

What an incredible salon and academy. I was trained to do lash extensions through the Lulu Beauty Lounge and Academy, and can honestly say it was the best decision I’ve ever made!! The location and interior is absolutely stunning, and in such a lovely space. It was such a pleasant experience from beginning to end. Other than that, Minah was my lash extension educator. She is by far the best person in Ann Arbor to be trained by. Not only does Minah teach you how to create a beautiful set of lashes, she goes the extra mile(s) to make sure you know absolutely everything there is to thrive fully in this business. I know that this is the case with any of their training. They will give you everything you need to succeed and much, much more. I will tell everyone I know about this wonderful place. If you are choosing between beauty trainings, or are looking for a gorgeous salon, choose Lulu!!!!!

I hired the Lulu Beauty ladies to do me and my bridesmaid's hair and makeup for my wedding. They came to me on location in Detroit. Dalal, Aysha and Minah made us all look and feel so beautiful.They did a stunning job, I was so happy- I love how I looked on the day of and in all my wedding pictures. I also really enjoyed the process of my hair and makeup trial before my wedding. Part of what I loved was getting pampered, and they served fun mocktails and had single and group photos done for everyone. I also get my lashes done by Minah (tint & perm) and have been getting balyage hilights with Dalal. I love Lulu Beauty Lounge, going anywhere else would be a huge downgrade at this point- no salon in Ann Arbor has a place this beautiful and luxurious with artists who know and love what they are doing.

I had an Amazing appointment with Dalilah here at Lua Makeup & Hair Studio.Not only did she take a couple years off my appearance but Conversation was Fantastic! My hair was colored and styled just how I asked, and it looks fabulous...This Lady is very talented and professional! I cannot wait for my next appointment!

LuLu Beauty Lounge & Academy is absolutely amazing! My sisters and I are triplets & we had our make up done by Minah. The salon is private, decorated so chic & beautifully. Minah has done our makeup in the past & she did a phenomenal job on our makeup!!! Congratulations on your new salon! We will be back for more services!!! :)

I have been in a desperate need for a new hairdo. I went to Lua Makeup & Hair Studio and stylist Dalal Farha gave me exactly what I wanted!!! I did the ombre highlights with a new long cut and blowdry!! I absolutely loved my new look!! Exactly what I envisioned!!! Even my husband noticed a new look (that was a first after 13 years of marriage!!!) I recommend this business to everyone and anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And my favorite part was that you are in a private suite!! I was really comfortable and felt like I was the only priority. And I also went back to get my makeup done for a party and LOVED it!!!!

my wife and daughters love love love this place!!!!! A friend told us about it and I’m so glad we listened to her!! So first of all: they have an incredible team of professional and respectful staff. My wife is very picky (haha hope she doesn’t see this) and this is the first time she has stuck with a salon for more than seven visits. She got her eyelashes extended (extensions? the fake things- you know what I’m talking about) and they made her already beautiful eyes pop even more. I just had to leave a review because I’m telling you guys- she never stayed with a place this long! I hope I don’t jinx it- happy wife happy life; thank you LBL!

It is a little tricky to find Lua's. It is located within Sola Salon Studios which is behind the North Face/Anthropologie/Sur La Table store block within Arbor Hills off of Washtenaw Avenue. Once you climb the outer stairs and enter the building, you are presented with an elevator and a small lounge. Don't be deterred, take the elevator upstairs and the salon is through the glass door and down the hall to your right, Studio 7.
Now is it worth this little voyage....I would say, yes! Lua's is located in a mini-mall of beauty. Therefore, while Lua's might not offer every service one desires, all other imaginable services are but a stone's throw away.
The inside of the studio is nicely decorated with rich purples and golds. The space is large enough for 3 people without seeming overly crowded. I love that it is a private salon, complete with a full-length curtain covering the door. The place seems clean and well maintained. The hairstylist of Lua's is Dallal Farha. She did a wonderful job with my wash, cut, and style. She used a lovely scented shampoo and leave in conditioner and took time to ensure my comfort during the process. She's a good conversationalist (nothing worse then having your hair cut in a bed of silence). My total visit lasted an hour. She really took her time sculpting my hair. I feel that she took personal pride in ensuring that I would be happy with the finished look. She took time to suggest different products that I could use to recreate the finished look and even explained the correct brush to use. I also appreciate that she didn't try to push the products on me even though they are available for purchase. She followed my directions while still adding her own style to the cut. I also appreciated that she took the time to detail to me the popular Brazilian blowout and to let me know that she didn't recommend it for my hair type; instead of letting me waste my money. While she did mention that the studio services women only; I'm not sure if she also cuts children's hair. She was very nice to my son, who accompanied me, and therefore might be a great option for your children's hair cuts as well. The price is very reasonable. Yes, they accept credit cards. The business also allows you to sign up for future email promotions. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

A simple haircut and a touch of color at Lua & Hair studio has made my week. The outcome of my haircut and color was amazing. I really feel beautiful all over again ..Thanks Dalal for your genuine work , it was worth every dollar!

Delilah (Lulu) was absolutely incredible she definitely knows what she doing, and I went from shab to chic. She takes her time to ask questions and make sure you're completely comfortable the entire time. I will definitely be going back.

Hidden gem! You enter a brick industrial type building and then, wow! The salon is decorated amazingly and the staff are wonderful and very accommodating! Minah is wonderful!

Top of the line products and service, as well as knowlegable, friendly, personable staff who take the time to give you the look you want. Atmosphere is cozy, clean, and private, with cute decor. Overall great experience- would definitely recommend to anyone who values these qualities.
