Mackinaw Timbers Cabins

My wife and I have stayed here twice. We love the serenity of being just outside of town, but a very short drive away from any amenity Cadillac has to offer. We have had great stays both times and look forward to coming back again.

We stayed with a group and could not be happier with the service we received. From registration to communication to accomodation Kim and her crew were excellent. The renovation on the cabins is awesome. 1950's feel with 2023 amenities. Access to the barn shelter was really appreciated on our rainy weekend. #11 The Cadillac is Awesome. Highly recommend Mackinaw Timbers.

We stayed at Mackinaw Timbers with a large group and booked the whole resort. Kim, the owner, was so friendly and truly cared that we were happy and comfortable. The cabins are all so cute and cozy. We would definitely stay again!

We had three cabins with friends. Everyone was impressed with the cleanliness of the cabins. Very nice from start to finish. Owner contact was impressive the entire trip. Do not hesitate to stay here. We will return when back in area.

This was our 2nd visit to Mackinaw Timbers! We loved cabin #1 The Loft! The owner does a great job communicating before and after your stay! The cabins and the whole property is very well maintained! We will be back again!

Absolutely loved the cabins, very clean inside. The campground is within an hour drive to Crystal mountain and Traverse city, would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

We've always wanted to stay at a place like this. It was super cool and cozy. The little heater kept it plenty warm. The Temps were in the 50s when we visited. We will absolutely recommend Mackinaw Timbers for your next visit to the Cadillac area.

This was the first of hopefully many visits to the Mackinaw Timbers Cabins. The owners have done a wonderful job renovating the cabins, each in their own theme. We had cabin 1. It was decorated in vintage theme, and we loved it. The loft was great for my teen son, the cabin was so clean, we truly enjoyed our stay we hated to leave!

Love that they have a dog friendly option! The pup & I loved our stay. Super cute cabin & the details + decor are fantastic. It has the original doors & latches combined with an updated keypad entry which was convenient (pictured is the bathroom latch). Loved our stay! Great price. Will be back again for sure.

Such a cute property!!! Surprisingly adorable and clean! Just a short drive from downtown Cadillac/ skiing/Golfing ( planning for summer) white pine trail and were a great base for our weekend getaway. Cabins are small but very quaint and thoughtfully done. Will stay here again and I‘d definitely recommend - you won’t be disappointed !

Mackinaw Timbers Cabins are amazing! My husband and I spent 4 nights in Cabin 6 and it was the perfect getaway! These cabins are very loved and cared for - excellent and quick responses and very kind management. We will definitely be back to ski at Caberfae. It’s a 25-30 min scenic drive! Honestly, we are planning our next trip right now!!

I had the opportunity to stay at the Mackinaw Timbers for an overnight while in Cadillac Michigan for a couple days. I chose to stay here for a change of pace from the normal hotels. The cabin was quaint and very cozy. When I was there it was in the low 20's and the cabin was easily kept warm. The cabin was private and very well done. They are a rustic style and I thought would make a great getaway in the future and plan to go back. The location is a short drive from Cadillac and conveniently right off the highway.
The cabin I stayed in was perfect for 1 or 2 people and had a nice flat screen with ROKU to stream movies or TV. The bed was a comfortable fold out which when folded up allowed for plenty of workspace from the couch during the day. The fee was affordable and I felt it a good value. I was glad I stayed in the cabin instead of a the monotony of a hotel. These cabins would make a great place to rest and relax for those coming up for the winter snowmobile trails or visiting for hunting in the area. Looking forward to coming up in the summer time to enjoy the area activities.

My boyfriend and I stayed here this past weekend as we planned a sort of last minute trip to Manistee National Forest for some hiking. There wasn't a lot of available, and Mackinaw Timbers Cabins had good reviews, so we booked it.
We LOVED our stay. The cabin ended up being just as special as our hiking. Checking in and out was a breeze and contactless, which is a great thing to offer during the pandemic. The cabin was quaint and adorable, clean, and very well decorated and furnished. I thought the value for the stay was great too, and the host was gracious and friendly. I recommend reading everything on the website prior to booking (ie, not all cabins have a.c., fast showers are recommended due to the small hot water tank, the wifi isn't super fast, etc). Our stay was super comfortable and we had no issues with the hot water or the wifi, though in my opinion wifi isn't a big concern when I'm on such a trip. I would totally stay here again!

Tiny living/visiting at it's best! Perfectly decorated & cozy mini cabins. I think each has a different theme - I stayed in the duck hunting one. Full bathroom, refrigerator, microwave & TV. Super close to the highway too - highly recommend!

This cute cabins are nice to get away for the weekend or rent longer. Each cabin has a name for the cabin. I believe 2 of the cabins are dog friendly but not postive.. their is a house you can rent also for familys and groups.. this placr would be cute to rent for a girls weekend getaway.. they have a pavilion and a fire pit and each cabin has this own picnic table and outside grill to you.. Must see this place .. Not bad prices for the cabin.. Highly recommended it to anyone...

Cute places..I think this was a cute place for a weekend getaway..cheap price..they have a house you can rent for bigger families.
