Big Marine Park Reserve

A lovely little park with boat access to the lake, a playground, and a swimming area with restroom facilities and places to picnic. The hiking trails are beautiful!

Great place to get away from the city and enjoy a rural feel just a short drive from the metro area. A good size beach with nice, clean restrooms and changing amenities, a boat launch with trailer parking and a modern playground for the kids. Hiking trails are paved and accessible. Plenty of picnic spots and tables for a nice lunch next to the lake.

It was a great place for the family, a nice playground, a nice picnic area, a great beach. We did not walk any of the trails since we did a hike before this. But definitely will be back!

It's beautiful and well kept. My grandsons were so excited when they saw the play area. Took a nice walk on the trail.

This place is BEAUTIFUL. I think it would be even better to visit when it's not the off season. A little cold right now to dip toes in the water! There are paved paths for walking/biking, fire pits, grills, picnic areas, a reeeally cool playground and I believe a boat launch too. Unsure if there's camping, though. There were many others doing what I was--pictures!

What a cool place very in the middle of no where but there is a huge playground and beach ll very well kept.you do need to buy a yr or day pass which I had for all Washington co. Parks!!! A great buy which i use alot with my kids!!!

Great park! Nice playground equipment to fit kids of all ages. Beautiful beach that was really clean, clean lake, just very shallow. I am 5'9" & the water only came up to between my knees & my waist out at the rope to designate the swimming area.

The beach was freshly raked. The water is clean and shallow for kids to enjoy. No goose poop or smelly shores. Great place to take the kids.

This is a great park for the kids! They have a playground for older kids and toddlers.

A great place, very well maintained. The beach area is one of the cleanest among the nearby parks. The children's play area is nice and clean. This park required a parking permit but was well worth it. This also have the campgrounds that hopefully we will be exploring in next visit.

Really nice park, has a open swimming area, playground and eating area. The boat launch there is for the public, but it gets really busy on the weekends.

Great spot for a day on the lake

This park was AMAZING! The beach and lake were beautiful as well. There were picnic tables and grass, and a nice sandy beach. It allows you to drive right up to it which is really nice. The facilities are very well kept and very clean. The kids favorite part was the park, which it looked like was manufactured by either Step2 or Little Tikes, it is very tall and a very beautiful playing structure. There is an area for big kids to have fun and an area for smaller children to enjoy. I could spend the entire day here easily, we purchased the year pass for this park and we plan to get our use out of it! Money well spent.

Big Marine Park Preserve has a lot to offer. However, you are required to pay in order to use this facility. There is a spacious beach to swim and cool off on a hot day. Additionally, if you have kids, their playground is absolutely massive. Several large slides, monkey bars, a pirate ship themed section, a climbing wall, and a totally separate toddler area. Super nice. If picnicking is your desire, there are several shelters and grills throughout the park grounds. The boat launch is well-maintained and has two docks. Nature lovers can view our Minnesota state bird, the loon. There is a mating pair and their two babies which seem to have made their home in the Lake.

Great park. Worth the money if you plan to make a day of it. The cost of a day pass is $7. The machine accepts card payment.

Very nice park with good trails, went to the beach and had it all to ourselves. Water is perfect depth for children or an adult trying to just sit and chill in the water. The view from the water is stunning.

It's hard not to really like any park that's on Big Marine Lake. The lake is so clear and pretty. It's really worth the drive to go here. I live in Minneapolis and have no problem justifying the 40 minute drive to get here. Well worth it. I first got turned on to this lake by Twin Cities Kayaking as a great place to paddleboard or kayak.
