What can I say? This is THE can/bottle and tap shop in Madison. All of the staff are warm, welcoming and helpful. The beers are ever rotating and they even get rare offerings from breweries all over the country. Their outdoor patios (front and back) are a plus to enjoy a beer al fresco. Bonus: the bar is dog friendly and well-behaved pups are encouraged to tag along, so no stressing about leaving Fido at home when you want a beer in the heat of summer or the dead of winter.

Barleypop has a fantastic assortment at any given time. It's always got a healthy crowd, but never feels like a big crowd atmosphere. 40 taps and on premise bottle means there is something for everyone. No food but it is in the heart of the east side, so great local restaurants are close by.

A fun place to enjoy some unique beers, love their 4oz pour sizes when available. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Also, they are dog friendly - bring the doggo!

Great atmosphere, 40 taps (great hard-to-find selection) and many bottles available for purchase. First time in and was very happy to get two pints of ZOMBIE DUST! Will most definitely return.

Fantastic tap room just north of downtown Madison. Lots of great beers on tap and your can bring your outside food in to enjoy as well. The inside is dog friendly and staff is so nice!

One of the best craft beer selections in Madison. You can buy something to open there or take it home. They also have a decent selection of beer on tap.

Second time visiting BarleyPop. This time it was their Fifth Anniversary weekend. What a great time! So many great beers on tap to try! Then we were treated to appetizers from the Chinese restaurant next door. Enjoyed sampling and snacks on the patio. Staff were awesome! Very informative and knowledgeable. Dog friendly which was fantastic! Wide variety on tap and an even wider variety in the coolers and on the shelves! And I love their logo, which is something I don’t always find myself saying in a review. Will definitely return the next time we are in Madison.

This is a great Atwood neighborhood joint with an amazing selection of beer, great service, and you're even allowed to bring your dog. Oh, and on Tuesday nights, trivia!

Beer variety is good. Given the big selection, per-pint it a little more then you would pay at a regular bar. Staff are friendly and give good guidance if you'd like a recommendation. The option to get 4,8,16,32 oz for most beers on tap is nice. I like to get a few 8 oz beers rather than a a couple 16 oz.

First time stopping here in Madison and will be back again! Awesome beer selection! And some serious killer beers to go! Well worth stopping in here! Great service as well!

This is one of the best bars in town. They love dogs, the staff is friendly, and the beer and cider selection is amazing. We always feel welcome here, whether we're in a large group for an event or just stopping by for a drink. We love this place!

Wow, this place is everything a beer lover could ask for, wall to wall beers for purchase and 40 premium, hard to find taps. You will not be disappointed!

Awesome concept! More craft beer to drink on tap / for sale on the shelves than you can shake a stick at. Bartenders are friendly, too. Did I mention they have a pinball machine?

Great place to pop in after work for a few beers and to take something new home.

A dog friendly bar with a huge variety of beer you can order in four sizes. Watch the prices however, as my 8 oz sour was $10.57!!!!
