It's difficult to rate a cemetery 🪦 because people's loved ones are buried here. This is a historical cemetery that has someone as recent as 2021 buried here. There are graves, both old and new 🆕, with dates going back to the 1700's.
It has a working water 💦 pump and one grass trail for vehicles. There are rules about what can be placed at the graves but it is ignored. Even in a cold February, the cemetery is in good condition.
The most notable person in both US and NH history who is buried here is Josiah Bartlett. He was a signer of the Declaration of Independence and a governor of New Hampshire. You may recognize other last names from NH history.
If you are into history and are in the area, you may want to stop by. It's at the end 🔚 of Cemetery Lane. I don't know if you are allowed to drive in. I didn't see any signs saying not to.
