Wow! I was blown away! I stopped for a cup of tea and left with the best roasted veggies I’ve ever had (there was a Dijon mustard taste to them and maybe maple…they were phenomenal!), chicken that was a bit dry but well-seasoned, and TONS of baked goods. Not all of them were as good or fresh as the others (the meringues were super hard and flaky like they were a bit old) but what the server described as “a grown up version of a Twix) was soooooo good, and the gluten free cookies were much goooer and fresher than the thumbprint ons. I also loved the lemon soaked cake (not sure the name). I got like six things and had a bite of each because I had to know)! Def way bigger inside than you’d think and so many creative and tasty foods and treats to boot!

Awesome breakfast. Scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries and toast. The bakery had so many yummy items. Can't wait to go back.

stopped in to get a hot chocolate and honestly kinda fell in love. it’s a cute place that smells so yummy and has so many good food options. the staff clearly cared about the work they did — super nice to everyone in the store, very pleasant attitudes, sweet to a fumbling newcomer like me. I particularly liked how kindly they addressed their evident regulars. def recommend stopping in for a treat

Came across this rustic cafe, and the food was delicious. Our server was super friendly. They start your meal off with a little basket of blueberry scones, Biscuits, and cinnamon sugar doughnut holes with homemade apple dipping sauce. This place has the feeling of an older dinner.

They have a little bakery and store attached. It sells local honey and wines, huge cookies, and homemade dog treats, and they even have a little Pup stop outside with a water hose and some seats. Definitely a plus for dog lovers.

Loved the healthy options and all day brunch. The turkey burger was the best I have had in a very long time! The crabby patty benedict was also delicious!

Note the hours - lunch only Mon-Fri and brunch/lunch on Sat-Sun.

The Bakery/Cafe is also fantastic!

Went here recently for some delicious treats and wow we were blown away. Everything here is incredible. It was hard to decide what was our favorite. But their chocolate chip cookies were out of this world. And the service was so kind and attentive and helpful. This is a true gem in Amherst, NH that is worth the trip, no matter how far away you are!

Tucked away in the beautiful town of Amherst is this amazing restaurant! The Black Forest offers delicious foods that will cater to healthy leaning or to those who crave sinfully delicious cookies, pastries, and cakes 😋 I chose healthy and went with a Mediterranean Salmon and Napa cabbage slaw. The Salmon was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the slaw added a nice crunch and some acidity to brighten up the rich filet. The staff is so nice and attentive, and they offer reward points that add up fast! If you pass through Amherst off of 101, give them a try. You'll be glad you stopped by.

Food is great, as is the service & atmosphere. One thing that’s been off putting is that the price of their baked goods have gone through the roof since the pandemic. So much so that my weekly Saturday morning trip to but a dozen scones for the family has vaporized. One benefit of inflation however is it’s forced me to learn how to make my own!

Usually I stop at the cafe for their delicious cronuts & pastries but decided to dine-in this time and boy was it worth it. This hidden gem offers a wide range of brunch options including the classics. Service was friendly and quick, highly recommend giving their sit-down restaurant a try.

Excellent variety of good quality cookies, cakes, soups, coffee etc. to purchase over the counter. Also a restaurant for breakfast and light meals. Just of the main road with ample parking. Well worth a visit.

I think their breakfast is really good. They give you basket of goodies when you sit down. They make home made ketchup and jam and they are so good. The presentation of the food is always awesome and we love it

Came in for the brunch, and I was very happy with everything! The scones were the BEST scones I have ever had! I also ordered the crepes with raspberry filling and it was perfect. Exactly what I needed! Overall very satisfied with the food, and our server was very nice as well. And you can’t forget to stop in the marketplace on the way out!

We just went here for the 1st time, and we are IN LOVE! haha, everything about this place is just perfect, delicious, and welcoming.

The food on the restaurant side was amazing! When you 1st get seated, you are brought a basket of delicious snacks from the bakery. The menu has tons of different brunch options in the morning, all with local ingredients! Lots of yummy adult beverage options. Good coffee. Bacon was on point. The service was great!! Very friendly staff!

The bakery and store side has SO MUCH to choose from! Snacks, drinks, baked goods, and so much more. This place has everything you could want all in one spot.

We will probably be back every weekend haha

A busy take out spot for their marketplace, as well as their restaurant. I've used their takeout area for soups, prepared meals, cold salads, and roasted vegetables from deli. Bakery is very good as well. They'll cut any cake for you if not already cut for you. Their coconut cake is delicious. We had their chocolate cream pies for holidays. Very good and gluten-free. Enroll for their frequent customer program to earn points for money off or free items. Staff is efficient.
