Favorite stop when in NH visting family. (30+ years now) Recent purchase was leather laces for boots, pine scented pillow and sterling silver earrings. Awesome selection shoes, boots, slippers, including Merrill's. Huge selection of leather jackets and bags. Upscale NH souvenirs as well, stoneware mugs, sweatshirts. Very good pricing. Ladies who run store are so very kind and helpful. Just go, you will be happy you did!

I was searching for a men's real leather jacket. The arms of jackets tend to be long on me, so I really wanted a place where I could try them on instead of the hassle of ordering & returns just to try something. Google wasn't helping me find many options in NH. The only real options I could find were at Macy's and they only had 2 styles in stock that I could try (according to their web site).

I kept searching for other potential options using Google Maps and aside from the big box stores It was highlighting things way down in Boston. I zoomed in and suddenly up popped Hayward's Trading Post -- about 5 miles away from my house. Apparently, Google has trouble properly suggesting businesses without a web site. Fortunately, some posted photos indicating that they had a good selection of jackets, so we made a quick trip to check it out.

What a great leather store1 Large selection of Leather Jackets (Men's & Women's) in various styles. They also have vests, pants, Moccasins, boots belts, cowboy hats, and a small section of shoes. They have leather work gloves as well as driving gloves. There are NH gifts (T-shirts, puzzles, etc.) and Pendleton Wool blankets (around $300). My wife said, "Wow this the first nice 'Trading Post' I've ever been in." They typically have the tom-toms, 'native American' items (made in China), and a bunch of plastic souvenirs.

I found a nice leather jacket with a removable lining for $299. So if you need some nice-quality leather items, you definitely should check it out. Hopefully, this detailed review will help push Hayward's Trading Post up in the search rankings for "leather jackets near me"! Since I was focused on my shopping, I unfortunately, didn't take any photos new to share of the store so you only get to see what I purchased. You can always call, I'm sure the friendly staff would be glad to tell you if they have what you are looking for.

There is some western wear available as well.

The parking lot is flat and there is plenty of parking.

The store is on one level with a small step up to get in.

I love this place, the smell of leather fills your nose and it always brings me back to when I was a kid and we would stop in and get moccasins. This is a nice boutique store that specializes in leather clothes and footwhere, it caters to the well dressed outdoorsy folks that are not into synthetics, wool, and leather that will last.they have western wear as motorcycle gear, cowboy hats and boots, there is decor for your home and so much more packed into this shop. I need to go back again.

Awesome place to shop! It's not just a shoe store, that have almost a ton of souvenirs like New Hampshire Maple Syrup and nice fragrances and soaps. It's always a pleasure to visit when I do, the employees are sweet, helpful, and pleasant. I HIGHLY recommend it.

First time there today, will not be my last! The staff are super friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable. Bought my first pair of cowboy boots. I was looking for a very specific brand and type of boot. I had been 3 different places and all over online. Hayward's had it! The sales lady helped me choose the right size, explained how they should fit and how they will break in. The price was below EVERY place I had looked. Can't even believe I see any bad reviews.. I will most certainly HIGHLY recommend this place to others

One of my favorite shops to visit. I bought gorgeous cowboy boots but I sized incorrectly. The ladies here are terrific. I was able to bring them back and exchange for the correct size, no hassles at all! They are friendly and very helpful. Western boots and leather coats are an investment; well made goods will last forever. And that's what you find at Hayward's. My first choice for quality goods and gifts.

Great shop for leather goods with very helpful, pleasant employees and a superb selection, although a little pricey. I was shopping for moccasins as a gift and their selection was outstanding. The employees are really great - helpful in a pleasant way without being pushy or obtrusive, make this one of the better shopping experiences you will have.

My husband and I went in here today for the first time ever, and honestly this is the most fun we have had in a store in a long time. We are 34/35- dove straight in and ended up leaving with 2 pairs of moccasins each. We spent about 2 hours browsing wearing two different shoes walking about and sharing stories with staff. The ladies who work here are the absolute best kind of people out there. They quickly make you feel at home. Not going to lie... we wish they were our grammy’s. The shoe selection was plentiful, but their knowledge and history to share made it an experience all of its own. If you’re a hiker or love great wool sock brands like smart-wool, darn tough, and farm to feet- I have never been in a store that had such a great selection in one place. Lots of fun patterns. Hayward’s trading post will be a regular stop for us here on out. I know we got 4 pairs of shoes but a part of me already can’t wait till we need new pairs. I assure you, take the time to chat, try stuff on and see how these ladies take time to really get to know their customers.

We always stop in at Hayward’s whenever we are up in New Hampshire, I’ve been stopping in for about 30 years now .
Greatest selection especially with their Minnetonka moccasins. They have the sweetest most helpful staff . Looking forward to my next visit .

I adore this place. So many fantastic things for sale here. My parents give me a gift certificate every Christmas and I never run out of things I like. They're not cheap, but the stuff is good quality. They have a fantastic selection of "foot-friendly" shoes in very attractive styles. I prefer the leather jacket styles of a Wilson's leather (which IS often cheap - in both senses) but the shoes and purses are fantastic, and they have a large selection of leather and non-leather gloves as well as other clothing and jewelry items. Very friendly and helpful staff; I've often sent the poor ladies up and down those stairs to the stockroom several times to get different sizes of shoes but they never complain.

I had some late Christmas shopping to do and I arrived at Hayward's Trading Post as they were just closing. A really nice lady helped me pick out a beautiful peacoat for my wife, even trying it on to help me get the right size. Thanks you for a fantastic last minute shopping experience!

Had a great experience staff was very helpful and friendly. I was looking for some new boots they had a large selection and narrowed down to three and finally got the pair I wanted.I was so happy that as I looked around some more I also bought a new belt. I highly recommend checking them out.

Fun place with way more items than you'd expect. Very friendly staff that was eager to help. When looking at slippers they went into the basement to find the size I needed.
It's great to support local businesses during these difficult times with COVID-19 as apposed to doing online shopping.

Best Trading Post around. The staff is wonderful. Always ready to help with whatever you need. Perfect place to look for that beautiful unique Christmas gift. If you have not been in you should definitely check it out. At least for some nostalgic candies!
