Main Street Ristorante and Primitive Gift Shop

It was a step into the past. The food was amazing and you were just embraced in old trinkets and decorations. The people were also great. I would totally recommend ot anyone around the area.

We each had the beer battered haddock fish fry, with baked potato, coleslaw and roll.
The atmosphere was comfortable and cozy.
The price wasn't bad.
Two 👍👍 thumbs up.
We will be back again.

I love this restaurant! What a find driving up to the Herkimer area exploring and looking for a place for lunch. Antiques, wonderful pleasant couple serving us and plus being the owners. Coconut Cream Pie was the best. The patrons seated around us were friendly. Great place, good food and 1700 ambience.🙂 Also it is a gift shop for early American folk art.

Food was very good. The clam chowder is homemade. Generous portions and the place is very clean. Friendly atmosphere and great service. Lovely people.

The butternut squash ravioli with maple cre sauce was incredible. Beautiful merchandise displays to shop as well as great food. Worth the drive!

Great gift shop with tons of cool items from rustic to antique. Very accommodating staff. We had a third person who was going to be 40 minutes late. They welcomed us to occupy a table and wait during their lunch rush. Traditional meal options that were delicious.

Wow! What a place to have lunch. A 5 star lunch for $7.95. We got the Eggplant Parmesan. Out of this world. The place is decorated in Primitive Country. All colors are the old world colors. And, all of the furniture, and decorator accessories are for sale. Very unique place. Service was great but the Food! Omg good! This place is on our list to visit in our twice year trip.

This has been one of our favorite restaurants for several years. Last night we brought our friends from Massachusetts to the Main Street Ristorante. They loved it!
They truly enjoyed the atmosphere and said that thier meal was excellent. They both had the beer batter fish. If a New Englander tells you that the fish good, then you know it is! We always save room for the fabulous dessert. My husband's favorite is the coconut cream pie. Our son in law lives for the canoli cheesecake. As always or meal was outstanding, from the beginning appetizers, to the soups and salads, to the fabulous meals that we were served, and then the amazing homemade desserts. Even the fresh brewed coffee was delicious. The owners are very sweet and always welcome thier guests. If you haven't tried this place, you are missing out.

I have never eaten there but it sure smells delicious. We go there for the antiques and gift items. Very nice presentation. Sometimes there is bargain barn open outside in the back too.

Great food, friendly service, wonderful atmosphere, we consider it as one of our favorite restaurants. Their gift shop is truly exceptional. We recommend the whole experience.

Our son, his wife, and three daughters(ages 4, 7, and 10) live in Chittenango, NY. My wife and I live just north of Albany, NY. We decided to meet halfway for dinner on a Friday evening. We chose the Main St. Ristorante by chance, using Google Maps to find a midpoint. It could not have been a better choice. The facility is warm, comfortable, and family friendly. The staff makes you feel at home. We chose many items from the varied menu. All were excellent. Deserts are made on the premises, and have to be sampled to appreciate to be appreciated. Well-worth the trip.

A small little gift shop and restaurant in a small town, very cozy atmosphere. Works definitely go again.

Traditional home cooking to exquisite gourmet fair. Curteous owner operator who has a great flair. The restaurant contains a small country shop inside and incorporates antique and vintage country style furniture along with decor. There's always something new to see and the food is delicious. And chances are that if you like the antique furniture pieces that are around the dining room, you can purchase them and take them home! Think Country Living with a farm house feel.

Was their today with my mom and we had a great lunch outside! The food was very good and their honey mustard sauce it the best I ever had!
