Hands down the best hardware store I have ever been into. I have frequented this store maybe bi-weekly for the last 20 years. There have only been two times they did not have exactly what I was looking for. The huge selection of loose fasteners is what I really utilize. They have thousands of various, bolts, screws, anchors, etc. Far more than the big box stores. You may pay a penny more for the smaller store but time is money and they have what you need. I cannot sing their praises enough. They have pretty much whatever you want in a hardware store excluding large building materials. The fasteners is where it's at for me.

Great place to get advice and assistance. I've stopped here 2 Saturday mornings in a row - after yoga - to get answers. Last week, I was given a great education - but the part I needed wasn't there. BUMMER - it meant I had to go to Lowe's and search for it myself - or try and find someone to help. Neither option is easy.
This week, I was, again, helped almost immediately and the staff person knew exactly what I needed. Additionally, he pointed out that to swap out the broken part for the working one required some kind of tool I didn't have. So he offered to do it for me if I had 5-10 minutes to wait. ABSOLUTELY I DO! It actually took around 3 minutes - which was awesome as I did have something to get to. No charge for the install and the part was pretty cheap.
Highly recommend you go here if you can and especially if you need some help. You are guaranteed to have your questions answered and they most likely carry what you need in stock!

Hometown hardware store with exceptional customer service and competitive prices. Are you old enough to remember going to the local store for help with common needs for your home? Regardless of your answer, you've got to experience Gahanna Hardware. One can get great advice, tools sharpened, screens fixed, and a host of services and supplies the BIG Box chains have long forgotten to do. I always check with the guys for my needs for home stuff first. If they don't have it or don't offer it, they'll happy to to tell your options. It's RA by our neighbors. Independently owned, they have a wide range of items. Great staff very helpful. I highly recommend them, if not for anything else their a family business not a Lowes....

I worked at Gahanna Hardware from 1981-1984 for Gene and George. It was the best hardware store around and Im sure it still is. The people who worked there with me were great and I'm sure the current owners are just as friendly and helpful.

Wow! Remember the old Ace Hardware commercials "the place with the helpful hardware man"? It seems those days are long past these days. Shopping at chain hardware stores now often entails hunting down someone to help you, and then having to wait 15 + minutes for them to hunt down another associate to just answer a question! Not at this store. From the moment I walked through the door, everybody (not just quote/unquote assigned "friendly greeters") were offering and providing help. Like the way it used to be when I was growing up. Like the way it was when I myself was a retail store manager. Like the way it should be. Highest star rating. Will continue to shop at Gahanna Hardware and recommend to others.

Love this store. If you can't find something anywhere else, you can find it here. Staff is knowledgeable & very friendly. Would definitely recommend going to this place.

Friendly service that helps you find just what you need. It's a small town shop in the city. You won't find the same selection as you do in the big box stores, but when you just need some saw blades or some mineral spirits, you won't have to walk by 30 foot tall inflatable lawn decorations and 30 grilles just to find them.

This place is a great Gahanna staple that I've visited for almost 30 years. They seem to just about have everything and they always have an answer for any solution you need. Prices are good, location is convenient and staff are friendly. Let's keep supporting this local company for another 100 years!! 😁🥳💯

Fabulous experience. Tom went out of his way, to help me get my chain saw started. He got it started, and noticed that the chain was too loose to cut with. Instructed me, on proper chain saw tightening. This was my 15th trip there, over the past three years, and the service just keeps getting better. Highly recommend. Local companies care. Great people and low prices. Always willing to help you with whatever project you're working on. I have had some odd projects and the staff has always been more than happy to take the time to listen and find a way to get the job done just the way I want it. If you're in Gahanna and need any help with a project, you need to stop here first. I guarantee you will save time and money.

The owner was really helpful. He worked with both me and my spouse to help us get exactly what we needed. We went there needing carriage bolts for a new boat motor we got. Went there the first time got the bolts and then we realized they were not rust-resistant and went back. I also needed lug nuts for the bolts. He showed me where they were and helped me get exactly what we needed. He even made sure the nut fit the bolt before sending me to the front. Really expedited process and still has time to be caring towards customer. Beats Lowe’s anyday.

Super clean, super organized, small but has a little bit of everything, fair prices, friendly people. If your looking for something of large size or out of the ordinary you should probably call first. I love little hardware stores like this.

A little more expensive than your average giant hardware store, but worth it considering the staff is very helpful and it's not a baffling ordeal to find something like the average giant hardware store. They seem to still fit everything in as they always have what I need but so much more conveniently.

Great experience taking several 5th grade Girl Scouts to ask for a donation of paint supplies for their Bronze award. Could not have asked for a kinder response! The manager, Tom listened and asked questions then donated supplies. More importantly he was encouraging and gave our girls the boost they needed to continue. I love Gahanna Hardware because it is a small "mom n pop" local hardware store located in Central Gahanna with great prices and some of the friendliest staff! Always prefer to go here instead of the big box retailer

This business is great! They carry so many items in the store that you won’t find at the big box stores. The team are so knowledgeable and helpful. This is our go to place whenever we need any repairs.

Yes the prices are higher but do we not have to remember it is a mom and pop store like the good old days where they actually help you out instead of walking up-and-down the aisles of Lowe's or home depot is a dollar worth it to me it is great service great people
