Aji Ichiban

We love hibachi and couldn't wait to try out the new downtown Aji Ichiban, it exceeded our expectations! Everything we had was bursting with flavor, so delicious starting with the hot ginger tea and shrimp tempura appetizer, best tempura we have had in years! We ordered the Steak and Shrimp Hibachi along with the Yakisoba noodles. The Japanese Onion and Mushroom soup was so flavorful and the salad with ginger dressing was fresh and so tasty. The steak was cooked to perfection along with the shrimp and a generous portion of fried rice along with zucchini, onions and mushrooms, with such appetizing seasoning. The Yakisoba noodles were to die for, so amazing my husband and I said we could eat them every day! Their Yum Yum sauce and Brown Ginger sauce was the best we've had at any hibachi spot. We shared the leftovers tonight and somehow it all tasted even better than it did the first time. We will definitely be back and bring the rest of our family for this wonderful dining experience!

This is the best hibachi restaurant in Cincinnati hands down. I'm so happy for them. I love their new location. I live on the Westside where their old restaurant use to be but gladly drive downtown to get me some chicken hibachi any day. You gotta check them out it's a Must Eat!

Food was absolutely amazing. The steak and rice was so flavorful. The soup and salad was amazing. Great service. Super friendly staff, and she told me I had big muscles too so that was a bonus lol.

came here with my family ordered the steak hibachi and it was OUTSTANDING! our server was educated on the menu and gave great recommendations. place is perfect for a family meal or a great spot for date night. highly highly HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone in the cinci/nky area.

I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! The food is phenomenal, the service is fantastic, and the setting is beautiful and cozy! The owners are very welcoming and made me feel like part of the family. I guarantee you that if you try her Mai-Tai drink you will never drink another one anywhere else that tastes as good as hers! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Went in on a Saturday night, was a little surprised that it wasn't busier but we also arrived after the dinner crowd. Service was prompt, knowledgeable and very professional. Drinks and appetizers (Tori Tatsuta was amazing) were brought out quickly and were delicious. Our party had the Scallops and the Filet from Hibachi and were delicious. I had the Katsu Don with pork, which was very tough, but the server (Giovan) quickly removed it and replaced it with the Chicken, which was outstanding. Egg and Chicken were cooked perfectly as was the seasoning of the dish. Owner and her son were gracious and very sweet, we will definitely return.

We loved Aji Ichiban when it was on Glenway, and are thrilled with the new location where the old Washington Platform restaurant used to be in Elm Street. It’s all new and very clean and cozy! Their yummy-yummy sauce is simply the best! I love the Hibatchi shrimp and fried rice and my husband and kids love the Hibatchi Chicken and shrimp. They have a beautiful full bar and an extra room for karaoke and private events! They do not cook in front of you but have nice seating and bring the food to you. I think I like this better! Family owned and operated by a great couple who treat you like family. If you’re craving Hibatchi, this is the place to go!!

Some of the best food hands down. An the liquid gold yum yum sauce should be bottled up in stores. You can do karaoke anytime you want to but Saturday nights.

We are from out of town and found this restaurant completely by chance, unknowing it had just opened. We were shocked with how well all of the staff members were taking care of us, multiple people stoping by and making sure we were enjoying everything. The filet mignon for the hibachi was extremely well seasoned. The homemade Yum Yum sauce is to die for. Already said when we are back in town we will have to come again.

Food is so delicious and service is great. They make their sauces homemade and their sweet Chile sauce is the best I’ve ever had.

I heard that they recently opened. I have tried a few other hibachi restaurants in the downtown area but when I tried ají inchiban all I can say is wow! From the friendly welcoming atomosphere entering the restaurant to the flavorful food! Hands down this is the best hibachi restaurant downtown that I have tried. Also don’t forget to ask for yum yum sauce 😋 🤤 😋

I have loved this place since they were on the Westside. They are now downtown their food is the bomb and best priced hibachi and quality in Cincinnati and the owners are the sweetest people.

Excellent place to come alone or with the family. Its a family owned business and the service and quality rivals that of Benihana! So come and enjoy!
