Incredible! Our server Valerie was lovely. The bread with a blend of olive oil, butter, and roasted garlic was unique and delicious. I added greens to the farro salad and it was DELICIOUS! The salmon was good. We took a take our chicken for our daughter and that was great too. The patio is lovely... It is a good spot for a special occasion. Drinks were great too. We will be back!

Really good food, the octopus was probably the best I've had. I had the braised beef my wife the salmon. So very good. Service was great and a very attractive and rustic restaurant. We did get a voucher for 2 glasses of wine for staying at Diamond Mills making it a very affordable high class dinner. The exec chef delivered our appetizer and spent a few minutes speaking about the establishment.

We stumbled on Blackbarn while looking for a special lunch experience near Saugerties. The views of the Esopus Creek from this restaurant are absolutely breathtaking. The farm to table concept coupled with unique dishes certainly make for a novel dining experience.

The Black mission fig pizza and butternut squash ravioli were both uniquely different but delicious (we had opted for no bacon, which made them sweeter than we expected them to be).

The crispy skinned amish chicken was good, as was the truffle ricotta gnocchi, the blistered shishitos, and roasted brussel sprouts.

Overall, even though some of the dishes didn't hit the spot for us, we really enjoyed our time at Blackbarn, and look forward to returning here soon!

Had a lovely experience at Diamond Mills for their Thanksgiving set menu. It was reasonably priced for the quality of food we received, and lots of staff being attentive. It’s set in a lovely location and the restaurant itself is open, airy, and clean.
My only *slight* criticism would be that when the server took our first drink order my partner ordered a non-alcoholic beer and we were brought a light beer (still alcoholic) and we only realised after pouring it into the glass.
I did tell the server immediately, and I understand that mistakes happen (The server was also very young so could just be inexperience) - I would just advise to be more careful in the future.
Overall it was a nice experience and I would definitely consider coming back.

Lovely venue with a view, amazing food and cocktails, and attentive staff. Outdoor covered patio has a beautiful view of the river - and they allow dogs. Menus is creative and they source local produce and beer. Try the Keegan Ale options - esp Joe Mama’s Milk Stout. Was too excited to take pictures of the entrees 🤣

Excellent service. The staff was quite accommodating to not only meeting our food needs but to ensuring we enjoyed the spectacular view the property sits on. The food is what you would expect from any fine dining establishment, but coupled with the view and the service, this place becomes a must see.

I had a marvelous time at the tavern. The view is breathtaking and the drinks are delicious. If you are lucky enough to visit while Alicia is bartending, then you're in for a tall treat. She's phenomenal at suggesting drinks and has an expert's knowledge in preperation.

Excellent romantic ambience next to soothing waterfalls. Great conversation outdoors with an inventive menu, using unique combinations that make tried true dishes pop with flavor. Thai lemon grass clam chowder with coconut milk and generous chunks of clams (some still in the shell). Succulent roasted chicken with halloumi cheese. Salmon grilled to perfection on a bed of Greek salad. And all for less than 40 bucks. A memorable meal indeed.

Lovely leisurely lunch on the deck. We took advantage of this balmy sneak peek of spring today. Nothing better than an amazing pear and fig salad with a good friend. Great waitstaff, too. It's a little pricey for lunch but totally worth it. And then the view...

Went for Anniversary Brunch. View was amazing! Food was amazing! My husband had the banana and strawberry bruscetta and the hueavos Ranchero. I had the egg croissant and lemon pancakes. Staff was top notch and they gave us complimentary champagne and dessert for our anniversary. Highly recommend

Magestic views of the bridge and the dam in Saugerties, NY. Very close to the lighthouse (visit if open), good food, didn't have drinks so can't say anything about that. We had lunch with friends.

What a pleasure! My wife and I had just been married at the Saugerties courthouse, and were looking for a place to have a simple celebratory lunch with my new mother-in-law and another witness. We didn't know the area, but The Tavern was recommended.
I can see why this must be a favored wedding destination - the ambience is bright, calm, and filled with history. Overlooking the river and waterfalls, we even had a spot to take some wedding pictures that far exceeded our expectations.
When we sat down, I casually mentioned that we'd just been married, and the hostess immediately insisted that we enjoy a round of complimentary champagne. Considering how very reasonable the lunch prices are, we would have been happy to pay ourselves, but appreciated the welcoming gesture. Later, we were treated to free dessert as well - totally without prompting or expectation.
The food was elegantly plated, and delicious - and for prices lower than you might expect at local diners.
Thank-you to everyone who served us! We expected a casual lunch to match a quickie wedding, but the atmosphere and kind treatment transformed our simple wedding into a truly memorable occasion.

Just amazing. Beautiful room, great outdoor space (we couldn't use due to Canada burning). Two pescatarians and two omnivores, all well served by the offerings. Oysters were perfectly shucked and tasty. Salads and sides highlighted their farm to market provisioning--so much so they overshadowed the still excellent main dishes. Great cocktail selection, excellent service, and a dessert menu that made it hard not to order everything. Upscale, but well worth it.

Went to the Tavern at Diamond Mills in Saugerties on New Years day for brunch. It was amazing. Lucky for us we parked in the wrong area and got to walk by the beautiful stoic view of the waterfall behind the building. The view is amazing, definitely a nice romantic spot. Now onto the Tavern itself, we had made reservations and were promptly seated. Our server a young lady named Giselle, I believe waited on us. Let me just say to the bosses or owner or whomever was in charge of hiring this you g lady, bravo to you. This woman was amazing at her job. She was friendly, attentive and had a genuine smile when dealing with us. It was such a pleasurable experience to have. Now onto the food, absolutely delicious. Kudos to the kitchen staff who prepared our meals. The way it was plated was perfect. Each scallop was placed on a ravioli, and the quiche was mouthwatering. Our wonderful waitress kept our bottomless mimosas from ever reaching the bottom, thank you young lady! The desert, according to my lady was delicious. So if you are in the Catskill area, specifically Saugerties, stop by the Tavern at Diamond Mills. Amazing place, amazing food, amazing staff all around and that view. Giving this place a Ric Flair Woooo and a thumbs 👍 up and 5 🌟 for the amazing expiration, will definitely go back when in the area.
