Farmhouse Tavern

Nestled in the corner next to the DeCicco Family Market in Katonah, NY is an unexpected pleasure called the Farmhouse Tavern. The upscale feel from the rich earthy tones, period moldings, and tin ceiling all heighten ones expectations. The talented chef and personable and attentive bar tender, Nick, delivered on every level. We started with Steamed Clams bathed in an aromatic broth of garlic, chorizo, shallots, and white wine. It was so good we asked for more bread and made certain little was left behind. For our entrees, I chose Faroe Island Salmon with a tasty dijon mustard sauce, sautéed spinach and mashed potatoes. It was a perfect compliment to the Steamed clams. My partner chose their Lump Crabment Ravioli in a Brown Butter and Sage Sauce. The flavors danced on our tongues and were beyond sublime in taste. We had no room for dessert and look forward to returning and adding that in too. They offer live music from time to time, so you may luck out big one Thursday night. Add Farmhouse Tavern to your list and sit at the bar and receive first class hospitality from Nick, a great bartender that never takes his eyes off your glass and provides heaps of hospitality on top. A lovely night out in Katonah!

10/10 - Extraordinary service and delicious food!!

We came here for my dad's birthday and I'm so glad we did. The hostess, Delilah, greeted us the moment we walked in and showed us to our table. She was extremely friendly and helpful. Alexa was our server and she was truly a delight! She was very attentive, sweet, knowledgeable about the menu and gave amazing customer service. We plan on going back and we hope Alexa will be our server.

I recommend the spaghetti with shrimp and burrata, it was out of this world!!

This place is incredible. Everything I had was excellent. Calamari was great. Chicken dumplings with the sweet chili sauce. Awesome. My seafood penne ALA Vodka had nice size shrimp in it and was delicious. Everyone loved what they had. Service was great also. Everyone is so nice here.

Really dig this place with no negatives. Sure it's not a Michelin 5 star but for a local spot that is consistently good, this place gets the mark.

Beautiful place. We went for late lunch/early supper. We ordered French onion soup and NE clam chowder (great flavor!) Fried calamari was amazing (great size and texture). Tuna tartar was fresh and refreshing. Farmhouse burger was juicy with slight smokey flavor. Paella is to die for. Generous amount of seafood and chorizo. Can't forget the great service by the server.

Visited during the re-opening of NY and they had indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was very friendly and conscious about keeping things clean.

I ordered the French onion soup, which was the best I’ve had in a long time. Quite honestly, I’ve been searching for a good place and a good soup and have been disappointed. So, this was a pleasant surprise. Also ordered the calamari for a meal, and it wasn’t the best. It was a little too greasy and not crispy for my taste. However, I did eat most of it because it was okay.

The bread was warm, fresh, and delicious. They served it with olive oil, fresh ricotta and tomatoes (?). I wish I could be more accurate but it was very good. My partner had the wings, which had great flavor and texture.

Overall, I really enjoyed dining here and would love to come back.

Came here around 4:00pm on a Sunday for the lunch /dinner menu. They have indoor and outdoor seating which is really nice on a hot day like today. Not busy at all inside and the service was great. Food was good, burger was cooked correctly and my girlfriend enjoyed her main as well. Will have to come back post Covid, really cool spot!

I have been here on multiple occasions in the last few months (obsessed with their onion soup!) dragging a different friend every time and have had nothing but a great experience. The staff is one of the friendliest around which adds to the positive experience. The food speaks for itself. Great options. But of course I’m going to suggest starting with the onion soup!😏

We had a great evening here with the family. The food and service were amazing. You could tell the ingredients they used were fresh. I accidentally left my credit card there and they happily mailed it back to me. That's one less hassle that I needed to deal with. Thanks a bunch!

Google suggested this restaurant while we were in town for my son's hockey game. Let me start by saying our waitress Alison was amazing. Her suggestions were as excellent as her demeanor. The food was good and as a family of 5 we ordered things from the burgers to the paella. We left vowing to come back, but asked our waitress her work schedule so we would be sure to dine with her again.

Apps, fish taco, tuna tartar, and burrata, were amazing and good portion size to share. Service is great. Drinks were average but the food made up for that.

My son and I had a terrific meal.
We started with the meatball appetizer and the clams appetizer and they were delicious.

Then he had the pork loin and I had the mixed seafood risotto. They were fabulous. Very friendly and attentive service. We will be back! Picture is the risotto.

Great atmosphere and delicious food. 5 of us and we all loved our lunch choices. Shared 2 desserts.

What a great menu it was four or five things I wanted to order and couldn't because I had to pick one definitely will be back Love the place. The Salmon was a little dry but all the other dishes were fantastic! The Osso Bucco and Halibut were on the special menu.

Nice menu with a variety of options. Specials included a scallop and strawberry salad that sounded yummy.. But I decided to go with a lamb burger.

Family enjoys the food, service and atmosphere. Always have had great dining experiences.

Mix Grill was a great choice. Wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff and I'm coming back. Highly recommend.

Once we got over the idea that we were not eating in a farmhouse (!) we were nothing but delighted with our experience. A massive shout out for the bread they source daily from a Brooklyn bakery - extraordinarily great. Drinks and burgers were flawlessly served by very helpful and friendly staff. Great experience.

LOVE this place!!! Beautiful decor, Amazing food and outstanding service!!!! It doesn't get any better than this unless you visit their other restaurant The BarnDoor in Ridgefield CT. Both are my Favorite!!!!
