I contacted John regarding his listing for a 2004 Mustang SVT Cobra convertible, and he was friendly, easy to talk to, and super knowledgeable.
Having a car dealer actually know about their own products may seem like a no-brainer, but I can’t tell you how many times I’ve purchased cars and not been happy with the service, timeframe, or salesperson’s lack of knowledge of the item they’re trying to get my money for.

Over the course of a few days he answered all of my questions during phone conversations or through emails or texts with pictures and videos. Buying a car thousands of miles from your home based on conversation, pictures, and videos can be a nerve-racking proposition, but John made it easy.
He always got back to me in a timely fashion, never seemed put out by my questions or concerns, and had a very old school sense of how to do business….friendly honest, punctual, and informative, with a genuine care in tailoring the best situation for me as a person and potential customer, and not just as another number or closed deal.

I planned to fly into Ohio, complete the purchase, drive the car to Massachusetts to visit my daughter in college, and then drive home across the US from Massachusetts to California.

Because I reside in California and John is in Ohio, I had more questions than normal because of the extra logistical challenge of transportation, flights, my daughter’s class and test schedules, and the threat of inclement Eastern winter weather rapidly approaching.

John went above and beyond going completely through the car to insure my 4500 mile trip home was trouble-free.
I received professional expertise, efficiency, and care more on par with a deal with a close friend than a car dealer I’d just met.

John coordinated to pick me up from the airport, and even loaned me his car for a trip to Walmart for road-trip supplies while my new car was receiving last minute tweaks.

I’ve completed 60+ vehicle purchases with multiple out of state transactions, and this was my best car buying experience thus far.

We were fortunate enough to purchase a gorgeous '97 Camaro Z28 from JR Auto & Truck Sales. It was a long distance purchase (~6 hours from home) from an unknown dealership, and an almost 30 year old car, so there was obviously some built-in uneasiness about this transaction.

First, John was amazing to work with. Clearly just a good guy, who likes cars/trucks/bikes and is good at what he does. He made the transaction as easy as possible and was very patient when our bank, in efforts to protect us in this long distance transaction, was not so easy to work with. He made the whole purchase process run very smoothly.

The car is fantastic. It's a little nerve-wracking (to say the least) to buy a car based solely on pictures. John was very thorough in all photos and description, and the car runs perfectly. We couldn't be happier with this purchase. Someday, when I'm looking for my next muscle car, I'll be contacting John ;-)

Being an out of state buyer can be very nerve racking, but I couldn't have been more lucky than to have stumbled across John and his dealership. From the very first call, John was straight forward and honest about every last little detail having to do with this truck. I was nervous about putting a deposit down on a vehicle I had never seen, but in today's market you are left with almost no choice. Before I could even worry too much, John called me asking if I would like a video call where we went over the truck with a fine tooth comb right on camera, showing me every last thing and asking what else I would like to see. I didn't ask for this, he offered it.

When I traveled down, I rented a car one way and he was kind enough to not only offer to help me drop off the car, but find another location since the Hertz in town had closed up.

John honestly knew the product he was selling and was extremely helpful though the entire process. That right there would make me a return customer, but what really shows his character is that he knew I had been awake all night and had a 4 hour drive home, and took time out of his day to check and make sure I made it home okay. I recently brought a 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 from JR Auto and Truck and was more than delighted with my purchase! The sales guy John was very honest, information, and he even helped me get a lower apr than I was previously quoted at another dealer. I have brought multiple vehicles from the bigger dealerships but thus has been my best experience thus far!

We've Purchased our 2nd truck from John. We live almost 5 hours north, and John was beyond patient and helpful. Allowing us ample time to get our finances in order and scheduling a time that worked best for us to come down, look the truck over before making our purchase. He was extremely thorough, explaining in great detail every inch of the truck, letting me know about the smallest imperfections or blemishes the truck may have. This was by far the cleanest 16-year-old truck I've seen. We are overly pleased with our experiences with John and hope to continue to do business with Him.
