Birch Tavern

Had the club sandwich which was good. I feel the tavern had a great atmosphere. I went during lunch with a coworker and we sat at the bar. The lady bartender was friendly and attentive. I would recommend this place for a nice lunch with a local feel.

The folk here are the best in service, always checking in with you throughout your visit. We usually get their fish plate and split it, great cod. Their chili and soups are delicious, the onion rings and my favorite treat is the potato barrels. I would definitely recommend this tavern to become your regular one stop for a food and drink.

Great spot to stop in for a lunch or dinner. Nice beer selection and the food was impressive! Highly recommend the spicy cheese bites appetizer. The burger was gigantic and tasty. It was a little challenging finding parking but got a spot on the street. Overall a nice spot to hang out with friends or watch a game.

The service at this place is second to none. Greeted immediately, food came out fast and servers never let me run out of beer! 🍻 Really cool atmosphere with a cabin feel.

Right as we picked our seats, we were instantly greeted and were able to get our drinks! Then only five minutes in, we took our orders and got our appetizer! This place has amazing service, food and the overall look of the place is really nice. You should definitely come here!

We just moved to the area and wanted to try one of the local restaurants. Food was great! Particularly enjoyed the wings and the hot pepper bites. We'll definitely be back!

I wish I would’ve taken pictures of the food but we devoured it. Staff is so friendly and food was fast. I had the Philly cheese steak but everything we had was full of flavor and we’ll absolutely be back

Bartenders were great, the food was quick and delicious. Interior well lit, entertainment above average, and the locals/regulars were amazing. Hardly ever empty. I'm grateful 🙏

An old friend and I came out for karaoke tonight. We had a blast!! This was my first visit to Birch. The wait staff were fantastic and very attentive. Food was good, and aside from one guy who had a little too much to drink, the patrons were awesome. It was a wonderful time. Thanks!

This sandwich is absolutely amazing. I've been going to the birch tavern for over 10 years now and they never fail to impress me. Pat the bartender is very personable and does everything in his power to make your experience enjoyable. I would highly recommend.

Lodgey feel in a small to medium sized space with an outdoor patio. Friendly staff serving up strong mixed drinks. Amole parking in the rear.

We enjoy exploring dive bars, so we headed to Groveport and the Birch Tavern. The Birch Tavern is more of a neighborhood place and is too nice for me to consider it a dive bar. We have been three or four times. The service has always been outstanding. We have never sat long before someone has stopped at the table to say Hi and to take drink orders. The menu is typical bar fair, although they have an eclectic sampling of hot dogs. The hot dog is a quarter-pound all-beef hot dogs, some with a twist. The fried bacon dog is wrapped in hickory-smoked bacon, with an array of toppings available to diners.

I opted for the chili and cheese, an extra $1. The West Virginia slaw dog gets a topping of sweet coleslaw, chili, and onions. You need a fork and knife for these dogs. The burgers are great. The sunshine burger can choose bacon, ham, fried egg, and cheddar cheese. The western is topped with jalapenos, pepper jack cheese, barbecue sauce, and beer-battered onion rings; then, there is just a plain cheeseburger. Burgers are served on brioche buns, supplied by local Auddino’s Italian Bakery, toasted per order. The burgers are good-sized, are reasonably priced. The subs are well done. We split a shrimp basket as an appetizer, and the group found them mighty fine. If you are down Groveport way, give the Birch Tavern a try

I've had several dishes. Most were very good. Only one of avoid is the groveport ...(something). It's the pork tenderloin. The issue is it's huge compared to the bin and toppings and you need the combination to really enjoy. If you get it, take the time to cut the tenderloin in half and stack it.

Ribeye Philly cheese is fantastic!
