Don't be fooled by the name "Mexican Shack," this place is that and so much more! They are a full service jeweler. My daughter lost a very sentimental bracelet. I went to the Mexican Shack to see if they sold something similar that I get to replace it. Steve (the owner) and Maryanne both took their time and spent over an hour looking through books, nothing was a good match. They suggested making a replica of the bracelet. That they sure did! An exact match! From the connections, chain, loops and size. It is perfect! They put so much time & care into this process. It was very clear that making this bracelet was just as important to them as it was to me.. Hands down this place is the best full service jewelr around. The Mexican Shack is the most amazing jewelry store I've ever been in. While the jewelry, gifts, souvenirs are wonderful, it's the people that started this business and kept it going all these years that make it an extraordinary experience.

Steve and Mary (the owners) are incredible. They take the time to find what's right for you and they get to know you in the process. They put love and care into each customer's experience and I will miss them dearly.

Marianne and Beverly are incredibly kind and their customer service is outstanding. I have also had the most pleasant experiences with them.

Robert is the jeweler that made the many pieces of jewelry I wear and his work is out of this world. His talent is magical and I'm so lucky to own some of his pieces.

I have been going to the Mexican shack since I was a kid, my mom use to take me there every so often. Now that I am older and can actually appreciate the craftsmanship of this jewelery, you won't find any other place like it. It is a shame that they are retiring, but at the same time I would like to thank them for creating their art for 47 years.

Although a lot of the store is a little out of my price range, every so often I will purchase smaller items. Just yesterday I did purchase these nice aquamarine studs, for 25% off. I would highly recommend trying to get in before they are gone for good! It will be hard to find another jeweler to come close to The Mexican Shack.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I offer you an alternative to the diamond district or any other jewelry store for that matter.
I brought my mother’s 70 year old, empty, platinum wedding rings to Steve and Rob in the hopes they could rebuild it so my future S-In-Law could use them to propose marriage to my daughter. The rings were in very rough shape and the type of setting isn’t made anymore. There were engravings in the band that I thought sure would be lost in the repair. The sentimental value of these rings cannot be adequately expressed but Steve “Got It” and wanted to take the project on. Well, please visit the MS website to see the pictures that will be up soon, because the work, expertise, and care that went into this restoration is beyond any expectation I dared to have! The engraving was preserved! The rings look brand new and the price was so very fair. When Steve handed me the rings to look at, he also gave me a box of tissues and that was a very good thing.

My favorite jewelry store. The service is terrific and the jewelry is stunning. The pieces are so beautiful and unique. It's more like an art gallery of jewelry. Eye candy, everything is so stunning. They reset my engagement ring for my anniversary and it is just gorgeous. Thanks for all your years in our Somers community.

Since I was a child my mom would bring me to Mexican shack with her for all of her jewelry needs. She gushed over how amazing they were and told me that they were the place to visit for any and every issue with my jewelry. Now, as an adult, I can absolutely verify those claims. I was given an inexpensive but beautiful engagement ring but it quickly started to bend and had gems falling out. I went to see Steve and the team at Mexican shack where they offered me an insane amount of options, took the time to help me decide which route I wanted to take and were all very kind. Steve was able to recreate my engagement ring with a gold base and it looks GORGEOUS. This team can really do anything wether it be resizing, replating, adding diamonds/gems, recreating special jewelry...you name it, they can do it. The level of expertise, care and commitment is unlike any other jewelry store I've ever been to. Thank you so much Steve and the team at Mexican Shack! I'm so happy with my engagement ring!

The Mexican Shack is an unique store. The Native American pieces are as beautiful as the more traditional pieces of jewelry that are available. The store also offers beautiful Southwestern merchandise. I have never failed to find something special there, especially during the Christmas season. The people in the store are wonderful, knowledgeable, very easy to work with. The Mexican Shack is my most favorite store. It’s just a very special place to visit and explore.

There is NO better place to buy beautiful jewelry. Mary Ann and Steve know what they're doing. I would never have left my family dimond just anywhere. I had to totally trust them to keep it safe and return the same one.; I did. The result is beyond beautiful thanks to Rob the master jeweler. Been a customer since they were at the old location. What an absolutely wonderful place! I'm partial to all the jewelry, but there are also decor items. Price points from under $20 to sky's the limit. And Steve and his staff are all so so knowledgeable and courteous. Just A++++++++++

Great local jeweler specializing in south of the border stuff. MS has been in Somers for at least 40 years. It's a great shop run by honest folks and worth a look. They have a lot of unusual stuff you won't find anywhere else. They also do jewelry maintenance at reasonable fees.

Fantastic shop that helped me pick out my engagement ring and both my fiance and I's wedding bands. Prices were very fair and the owner, Steve, was tremendously helpful throughout the process.
