I visited Bailey house not as a guest to stay but to meet the proprietors. I had a tour of the house which has been in the family for a long time. The owners were very nice people. I would highly recommend this establishment.

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful 5 days at the Bailey House! The Purdy's shared their vast knowledge of President Grant and his boyhood home which we found so interesting. The Bailey House has its own history and is filled with beautiful antiques. The breakfasts were very tasty and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Wonderful hosts!! We'll be back!

What a wonderful place! The Bailey House is great, it is full of history and run by some of the sweetest people I have had the pleasure of meeting. Each room is well decorated and has everything you need to be comfortable. I slept well and enjoyed my breakfast immensely each morning. I travel frequently for work and I have never felt as at home while traveling as I felt at the Bailey house. Thanks to Mr and Mrs Purdy weather work brings me back to Georgetown I will be returning. Do yourself a favor and stay here.

I really enjoyed my stay in the Bailey House. I was pleasantly surprised at the accommodations since the price of the room was almost $20 less per night than the chain hotel in Mt. Orab. My room was spacious and well appointed - the bed was very comfortable. A nice breakfast came with the room and Nancy, the proprietor, was friendly and helpful. She sat with me at breakfast and told me the interesting story of the home and the Bailey's relationship with Ulysses Grant's family. I would definitely return!

The owner was a retired teacher... very knowledgeable about the history of the town and the house (where she actually lived as a child). Mornings were a history lesson, taught by a wonderful lady and a great conversationalist! Her family was friends with Ulysses S. Grant! She actually prepared breakfast both days for all 10 of us herself! It was like staying with a loving family member. She told stories to me while preparing breakfast... even gave me some “life-advice” about an upcoming surgery I will be having. Beautiful experience!

We were traveling with our 2 young sons 8 & 10 and the Bailey House was so perfect for our family. The boys had one room and we had another to our selves! Amazing breakfast each morning consisting of french toast, eggs, bacon... all the good stuff! We walked their dog Bailey around the town every morning! We had access to a printer, WiFi and television in the rooms. They really made us feel at home. Can’t wait to stay again!

We stayed for a few days and the room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfasts were fantastic, and the price was great. With it, we also got a personal tour of the Grant childhood home. It was a wonderful bonus. It was recommended to stay here, and I recommend it also.

This place is amazing. The house is gorgeous, and there are many stories surrounding most of the antiques inside. The hospitality of the hostess was exceptional. My stay was absolutely lovely. There was plenty to discover around town as well.

Very historic! I love the ambiance of an 1840s home. I believe it's on the National Register of Historic Places. This is my third visit! It is down the street from Ulysses Grant's boyhood home.

The people and the house are great. The cats and the smell from those cats are not.
