Mount Carmel East

My sister was in a serious auto accident on I-71. She was moved to this facility due to her injuries. When I read the reviews my first thought was “I have to get her out of here.” But it turned out much differently. The ER is pretty scary I won’t lie. Sister was moved to orthopedics on 4th floor and she had nothing but excellent care. Nurses were all fantastic but want to give a shout out to Jurry, Danielle, and all others on that floor. You guys are/were amazing and we appreciate you!! Also food service, surgical care, everyone. 🙂

Had my #3rd child at Mount Carmel East yesterday my Labor and delivery Nurse Maddy was TRULY AMAZING, she was patience, confident very knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable with my delivery and delivery plan and options!!!!! I highly recommend requesting her for your Labor and Delivery Nurse if possible

I had to go in yesterday to the er with problems with my back. The nurse that saw me first was nothing but kind and respectful and Bart Winkler was nothing but the same. I so much appreciate the way they listen to what your issues are and actually help you. I will absolutely not go anywhere when this issue comes up. Thank you so much for getting me back right and in and out so quickly!!

Went to this location for delivery and labor. Everything went smoothly and quick. Nurses and staff are friendly, professional and extremely helpful. I’m glad I came back for the second time and grateful for all the nurses in this department!

Just had my baby girl here yesterday. FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE! Went to St anns for every check up, but since we live close, when it was "game time" we came here because it was close. So glad we did. 💪🔥

On Friday 12/8, my daughter went to the ER with uncontrolled vomiting, waitted for about 30-45 minutes, then was seen by Dr. Grace and his team, all people were so nice, explained everything, did blood work, and gave her IV fluids and medications, we are highly appreciated for all what you did with my daughter.

I have never been a fan of My Carmel because I had a bad experience when I had my son at Mt Carmel West. But east saved my other sons life and I'll be forever grateful.

My friend was taken here by ambulance for diabetic issues. She was seen promptly and received good care. The facilities are new, clean, and wel cared for.

I want to first say that none of the nurses were bad, but I do want to recognize Louisa for her absolutely amazing care I received from her. She made you feel at home and was amazing with her health care. I don't know if you guys have any type of program that recognizes positive impact the people do, but if you do she deserves acknowledgment for being absolutely amazing. Even before I got to the floor when I was admitted, the emergency room was absolutely amazing as well.

Thanks to Gray and Ashley for caring and responding when I needed them. They both work night shift.

I was recently discharged from Mount Carmel (East) following inpatient treatment. I will not be disclosing the cause of the hospitalization, but please note that the diagnosis required interactions with multiple departments within the hospital. Simply put, the staff and services provided by Mount Carmel was nothing short of SUPERB!!! From the moment I stepped into the Emergency Department through discharge, I felt that my care and well being were the staff’s number one priority. My concerns were validated and I was treated like a person experiencing medical concerns versus a diagnosis (eg, the “cancer patient”). All staff members I encountered were professional and personable, which went a long way in ensuring my needs were met through each phase of my stay. This includes the Technicians, Nurses, and Physicians who thoroughly explained what brought me to the hospital, the diagnostics, the treatment, and aftercare. In addition, the support staff (Transport, Nutrition, Logistics, and Housekeeping) were attentive and dedicated to providing exceptional comfort measures. Also, I'd be remiss if I didn't note that the facilities were well appointed and exceptionally clean.

I’m an Air Force retiree with 27+ years of active service and I’ve been treated in numerous medical treatment facilities worldwide, both military and civilian. Without hesitation, I’d count my encounter with Mount Carmel among the highest rated experiences I’ve ever had in receiving medical treatment. In addition to the customer care measures described above, the technical treatment was beyond world class and exceeded my expectations. My family and I are grateful for the Mount Carmel Team. Please keep up the great work!

I’m the middle of the night I went into labor at 37 weeks. I had planned to be induced at a different hospital but went to East as it is closer to my house. The nurses were all wonderful but a BIG compliment to Gemma who was my nurse during delivery! She was SO wonderful and encouraging! she did all she could to keep me comfortable and pain free! She was thorough when talking to my OB and she was SO wonderful during my whole time there. Every nurse, assistant, and food personal were wonderful. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Thank you for making my delivery so wonderful!!

Great experience with labor, delivery and recovery. All the nurses were great, the rooms are nice, and the food was good too! I also delivered at Grant and St Ann’s… Mt Carmel East was my fav experience.

I’m being discharged today from labor and delivery and I must say EVERY SINGLE NURSE that took care of me was amazing. They were all super caring and attentive I felt so much love from every one of them. Even writing this now makes me want to cry. I appreciate you all and may God bless and keep you. You all deserve the best in this life. What you guys have done for me and how you have made me feel will go a long way. I pray for you all. Lots of love Tiffany xxx

I had a wonderful experience here after a serious fall with multiple broken bones. The nursing staff was so nice and compassionate. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you!

I cannot say enough about the awesome doctors, nurses, and staff at Mount Carmel East Hospital. My father was rushed to the hospital from Lancaster while I was out of town. The ER doctor returned my call and was honest about his condition while being compassionate and understanding. He even told me several times to drive carefully. The entire staff on Floor 4M was absolutely dedicated to taking care of patients and checked on them on a regular basis to ensure they were comfortable. I would like to personally Thank the wonderful ER Doctor (I wish I could remember his name), the nurses, receptionist, and entire staff for the care they provided to my father and my family at a very difficult and stressful time.

They treated me like if i was the president of the United States just wanted to tell you you guy are awesome way to go champ you guys rock

This isn’t something I normally do but after reading some of the negative reviews I feel like I need to post my experience while at Mt Carmel East. I was recently admitted to have my gallbladder removed and upon arrival I was told they were on a 5 hour wait. Once the nurses realized the pain I was in they immediately took me to a room to get me started on a pain regiment. I ended up being at the hospital for over 30 hours and although the pain I was experiencing from the gallbladder was horrible the nurses and doctors were great. This was a very traumatic experience for me and the 15 or so nurses and 4 or 5 doctors that I dealt with at some point or another we’re all wonderful. Every one of them. I walked out of there Wednesday morning just amazed of how well I was treated and want to say thank you to all the staff at Mt Carmel East.

My life has been saved twice, fifteen years apart, at this remarkable facility. The physicians are top-notch, the nursing staff is great, as are the PCAs. Second floor, Purple Tower, Shannon F., RN, was the best nurse I’ve ever had anywhere! We laughed and cried, she took incredible care of me and I know without doubt that she truly cared about me.

The food though, it was pretty terrible. 🤣

I had my child there last month (March 2021) and I can't say enough good things about all the staff there. The nurses were great and professional.
They took such a good care of me and my family there.
I had an induction and the whole process took 20 hours and we had everything we need and they heard all my concerns
I am not a white person. I wish we didn't live in a world where this matters but we know it is not the case so I want to let other people know that I didn't feel this matter at all on how I was treated there.
