Cap City Fine Diner and Bar

Great brunch spot! Went for brunch on Saturday morning at 11 (had a reservation). Probably didn’t need a reservation for 11:00, but it did fill up pretty quickly. Everything we ordered was delicious-we started with a half order of the blue cheese potato chips and blueberry pancake fritters. Both very good. I ordered the eggs on hash over medium and it was very flavorful.
Our server was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. He recommended the half order of potato chips (we didn’t know that was a thing). I’d like to go back to try so many more items from the menu and get more of the blue cheese potato chips!

A great evening out with girlfriends. I heard the meatloaf sandwich was really great so I anticipated eating it. It was good but not great. The Reuben sandwich was also good. Margaritas were delicious! The blue cheese chips and carrot cake were amazing.

Wow! What are fantastic experience!

After a friendly greeting we had a short wait for a table, at which we enjoyed an appetizer, two entrees and two desserts to go with one fountain beverage for a grand total of 100 bucks with tip.

Did I mention it was all was gluten free!?!

We took the cheesecake with us but it looks amazing.

Cap City Dinner is one of our favorite restaurants. Have gone here for many years and never disappointed. Excellent food, willingness to accommodate dietary exceptions, pleasant service, relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend this restaurant you will most likely not be disappointed. My wife selected the trout & I had chicken both we fabulous.

This was an incredible dinner! Our server was absolutely amazing - he was able to suggest his personal favorites including the Romano Crusted Chicken and the Cap City Diner Meatloaf which did not disappoint. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked flawlessly. I wish I'd taken a picture of everything but I highly recommend their pepperoni pizza flatbread for a starter and their Salmon Entree. I cannot commend or compliment this restaurant higher! I wish I could pick a highlight of the meal, but it's difficult to do so... Although I recommend saving room for the chocolate covered peanut butter pie. Absolutely fantastic!

I had the Thursday Blue Plate meal, Roasted Pot Roast! I was visiting and let me tell you this meal was fantastic. The hosts at my hotel recommended this restaurant and I was amazed at the flavor! The pot roast was so tender, and full of flavor. My cocktail was also amazing! The staff was so friendly and attentive!

We made a reservation thru OpenTable (advisable as this place is always packed especially on evenings). I noted that it was a birthday celebration for 2 people and had some few requests for our guests. We arrived on time but the table wasn’t ready yet which was fine. Our server was very nice and as noted by the manager, they gave us complimentary appetizers as we waited to be seated. She gave us recommendations and made sure that we will get all the food that we wanted. They also gave us complimentary birthday cakes and it was the best carrot cake i’ve ever had in the entire Columbus area. Overall, it was a great experience. We will surely be back here.

Dependably great. We went to dinner with friends. I was just getting over a head cold and had a hankering for comfort food so this place was spot on. Had the fried chicken and mashed potatoes with the soup of the day. Wait staff over-use the word perfect but this was. Waitress was friendly, knowledgeable, opinionated, very helpful. One of our party had special dietary needs and the waitress really helped. That member of our party came away VERY happy. We took home a lot of chocolate cake.

Everytime i go it's always good but this time 10/24/2023 the pork chops were a little tough but everyone was very accommodating and the new pork chops came out they were a little better but still a little tough but way better then the first round they explained that they have a new distributor that they get the pork chops from which was understandable Because I have never had a bad plate or service besides that little hiccup everything was good

Food is always great!! Service staff is always nice attentive and interactive & knowledgeable of the menu. I love Sabrina & Jeremy!! The salad is so amazing & they make all their dressings homemade. The blue cheese omg I don't even eat blue cheese y'all. & Their lemon Cesar dressing omaaagaaaah. The butter bread is always complimentary but I didn't care for it this time bc it wasn't the croissant 🥐 the blueberry margarita bussin!! Know what that means? It means order it and watch you want more than 1 hahaaa I love this place desserts are so big. Share em with the table. The wings are delicious and that sauce maaaaan yum yum!! A forever customer. This is the first time I’ve struggled to write a review. Quite simply, because it would take several paragraphs to provide the details necessary for such an amazing restaurant. From the initial call to reserve a seat for my wife & I to the final conversation with our waitress, Kirstyn…EVERYTHING was exceptional! Food was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection!! Cocktails were perfectly crafted!! Dessert…HUGE serving and DELICIOUS!!! My only regret is there isn’t a location in GA.

True to their description, fun and unique menu items. The blue cheese chips are such a savory rich combination that I'd even try to recreate it at home. The ambiance of feeling in a nice, upscale service restaurant while maintaining quick and friendly treatment for as big as it is. There's even a lit candle in the restroom. I like it alot, I recommend and would come back.

Very beautiful establishment. Nice size parking lot. I had the Pecan crusted Pork chop, delicious. Had the Strawberry Shortcake for dessert, reminded me of my youth. Strawberry Basil Lemonade was also very refreshing.

My boyfriend and I went here for the first time on 11/11/2023 for a date night. Had a reservation for 7pm and were seated immediately and told happy date night. The ambiance was welcoming, classy and comfortable. Music was loud enough to hear but did not interfere with our conversations. Our server was Alex. He provided excellent service the entire time. We waited no longer than 5 minutes for our orders to come out. Ordered a mojito, strawberry lemonade (it came in a small pitcher), and the coconut almond spiked milkshake and all were very good. Complimentary bread was soft, fresh, buttered and had a good flavor. My boyfriend ordered the cap city diner meatloaf and it was massive! He did not leave behind a crumb. I ordered the ponzu glazed salmon and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly, the green beans and stir fry rice was excellent as well. We split a peach cobbler with a generous scoop of ice cream for dessert, which Alex recommended, and it did not dissapoint. Not overly sweet and a great finish to a fantastic meal. Our bill was $90.04 and worth every bit. I highly suggest making a reservation (we tried to dine a few weeks before but the wait time was over a hour), and come with an appetite!

We stopped here on our way through Columbus on a vacation, and were extremely glad we did.

My kids got a cheese pizza (the pepperoni flatbread starter without the pepperoni) and the kids' cheeseburger meal. They both loved the food.

My wife got the ponzu glazed salmon, and thoroughly enjoyed all the items on the plate.

I got the pecan crusted pork chops, at the suggestion of the server. These were amazing. The pecans were just enough to add flavor without overwhelming the pork, and the honey glaze accented the pork flavor and seasoning perfectly. Really, the only thing I didn't like was the mashed potatoes, because the were spicy, but that is noted on the menu item (chipotle mashed potatoes), so I wasn't put off by that fact.

For desert, my wife got the key lime pie, and I got the apple pie. Both of these were great.

Service was also excellent, leaving us alone most of the time, but stopping by just often enough that we never went too long with a need.

Overall, while this place is higher on the price than many nearby location, I definitely recommend it.

We stopped at Cap City Diner for brunch with cousins from out of state. We only had a 5 minute wait. We were seated on the patio which was surrounded by a clear heavy plastic and was well heated. Great atmosphere where you could hear ourselves talk. We had 2 orders of beef stroganoff, eggs and beef hash and a Rubin sandwich. Everyone in our party,was well satisfied with their choices. The service was exceptional. Jeremy did an amazing job in making sure we were well taken care of.
The restrooms were also a pleasure to visit. A nice touch with the candles. I would recommend and and visit again.

Food was wonderful, had a puffed chicken pot pie. The waitress was so nice and helpful. The restroom was so clean and smelled wonderful, had a candle in there, I simply loved the atmosphere. The best Carrot Cake ever.

Visited on my birthday for dinner and my first time. Not only did I get a free dessert, But they let me take it to go and still put a candle on my to go box. ☺ Everyone that I encountered was lovely, I never felt rushed and yet I never felt ignored. My friend and I were able to enjoy a nice long dinner by the fire. The food was delicious!! Rich beef stroganoff with fresh ingredients. Will be back! Gotta try that meatloaf...

Started out a little shaky. My mother, brother, his girlfriend, and I got seated outside in the heat on the patio without even being asked if that is what we wanted.
THANKFULLY, a waiter asked how we were and got us moved inside 💙
Once inside, we had the BEST waitress and service!! Oh and our food was perfect!!!

The food and service at Cap City were fabulous for my girlfriend's birthday dinner. I got the barbecue pork chops and she and her friend got the romano crusted chicken. Everything was excellent; can't recommend enough!
