Dr. Anthony R. Whitaker, MD

Dr. whitaker is the best doctor i’ve had and i’ve been to many! I was with him for 9 years and had to switch because I moved! i’m actively looking for where he is at now since he left PPS so I can try to go back to him! he’s the only doctor i’ve felt has actually cared about my treatment and always listened to my concerns. I highly recommend him! he really does care about his patients all over health and that’s something I can’t say about some of the many doctors i’ve had in the past.

My psychiatrist for 6 years, who actually gave me real advice, wasn’t just constantly changing my medications. We worked on so much during his time at PPS! He helped me see things a lot better. Actually DID remember me, and my kids, and my situation. He cares!! I hope I can find Dr. Whitaker again because hands down 🙌 he is the best. I know many others that would agree.

Dr. Whitaker has been my psychiatrist for 7 years now. He has always been extremely friendly and professional. I love the way he explains things...even if I’m talking about my other health issues. Or my mom’s health issues once I became her full time caregiver after a dementia diagnosis. He has always been cheerful and a great listener. After lots of different combinations, he was able to find a perfect mix of meds that have my symptoms under control and feeling better then I have in a long time. The new office and the system they use has cut down on wait times and is a beautiful waiting area with fish tanks and comfortable seating. The attached pharmacy makes it so convenient to finish my appointment with Dr. Whitaker and then walk right over and my meds are ready. I’m so grateful to have a dedicated doctor to my complex mental and physical health issues.

Dr. Whitaker is a very good Psychiatrist. He has managed my medications for over 2 years. He is very personable and is easy to get along with. His patients should consider themselves lucky to have such a caring and knowledgeable physician treating them.

Listened to me and was fully invested in finding me the best form of treatment.

I was seeing Dr. Whitaker for a few years after my origional Psychiatrist passed away. During those few years I was always uncomfortable with him. I was treated as if I were an inmate, court ordered, on probation, etc. I have been balanced on my meds for some years and as soon as he took over he was always wanting to change them and it was simply dreadful when it was time for another visit. Seemed like punishment. The office can't get you in before meds run out and there are some days that you suffer. During the visits you ind yourself waiting in the lobby for at least 45 mins past your appt. time. Since then I have changed doctors and now things are going smooth. I actually look forward to going to my new doctors visits now. Dr. Whitaker has gotten my meds so messed up in the last year. My new doctor has me back on track.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR !!!!!!!!!!!!!
