Aurora Pediatrics

We saw Dr. Zimmer for a well visit to establish care with my 2-year old. I was told upon check in that our insurance was out-of-network, and I told the receptionist that I didn't want to proceed with the visit. She called her manager over, they entered a few more things into the computer, and then confidently assured me that the appointment would be in-network. Later received a $530 bill from Aurora. I called the customer service line and was told it was my fault that I didn't further question the receptionist's manager. Really disappointed in the customer service here, from the beginning of the visit to the billing experience, and I would not recommend receiving care here unless you're very confident in your network coverage.
