Mal's Diner

Really good food. And the milkshake was super good. Even though there's only one lady working when I went in she was on top of everything and making sure everybody was okay and topped up and got the food out on a very timely manner.

Stopped in at Mal's Diner for breakfast on a weekend. This is a really cool place. The whole restaurant is themed like an old fashioned diner. The service was quick and pleasant. The food was very tasty and hit the spot. Highly recommend stopping for a meal. You will love it as much as we did.

Excellent dog friendly service :) lovely little out door seating. We couldn’t have picked a better place to stop for lunch. The lovely lady gave our Corgi’s ice water straight away.
I had the chicken strips and fries they were tasty, hubby had the local beef Southwestern Burger he said best burger he’s had in w longtime. Thank you so much for the lovely service.

Stopped by Mals for lunch and ordered a few burgers. The atmosphere was very nice and the place was clean as well. Would definitely recommend.

This is an amazing place to eat. We stop here all the time on our way from Powell Butte to Boise. Emma is such a kind sweet person and did an amazing job taking pur order. Ruby made out food and it came out perfect. Such a great place for the price!

This place is a must stop for anyone driving through Vale, and want a meal!!!

This place is absolutely ADORABLE. It's like a little time capsule with both the quality of food, the friendly service and atmosphere! I got the Dave's Philly with fries while my husband got the Viking Burger with tots. He was pretty impressed that it was not frozen patties. Our waitress was super nice, friendly and just an overall sweet soul. The cook was friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our food very much and I'm excited to go back! I would highly recommend going for a great meal, excellent service and a chance to enjoy a part of living history in an absolutely adorable town

An absolute delight!! Exactly what we hv been looking for, a retro diner with great food. Food was good in such a simple way. Service was cheerful and happy.
A perfect pit stop for us!!

My burger was AMAZING 😍 Wallie is a great cook! Emma is an amazing host! And Hailey was a great server! Can't ask for better! My fiancé had the shrimp basket and the beef bite basket cooked to perfection! Will continue to come back!

Beautifully colored old diner with nice enough staff open late. We just had the battered fries and onion rings, but they were good. I would have loved them to have a specialty vegan burger on the menu, but what can I do? Staff weren't wearing masks if that's something that concerns you. This place brought us back to the 50s, and had a great atmosphere.

Very friendly staff, the sandwiches we ordered were delicious. I think it was the owner we talked to while we were there also seemed like a very fantastic genuine person.

Such friendly staff and good burgers. Had a couple cocktails that were well made. The price of everything is very reasonable. What more could you ask for. Well done…..

Nice sit down diner in the middle of town. Their food is good old fashioned cooking. Portion sizes are great. And service and price was great! I’ve never seen a full breakfast for two for under $20.

This was a fun place to eat. Friendly staff, reasonable prices and the food was excellent. Even the grilled onions on the sandwich were cooked perfectly.

Some of the best food I've had in a while!! Also decently priced. If I'm ever in this area again I will definitely make a stop here.

For the first time in ever had sweet potato fries that where crispy. The burger was great as well. People are nice and friendly as well. Will go back again.

Visiting family in Nyssa, ordered a quick supper. Nice portions, reasonable prices, and they delivered to the car. Wife had steak bites, I had fish and chips. Only con was I ordered ketchup and received fry sauce. Great experience. Will return when in town again.

After a VERY long (8hr) journey to Vale, we were super tired and got here not long before closing. Emma, our waitress, and Jeremiah, our cook, were the highlight of a very rough day.
Thank you so much for a wonderful experience. The food was wonderful, the shakes were delicious and we loved it so much, we went back the following day.
If you’re headed to or through Vale, Mal’s is definitely worth checking out!
