Granary Storage

Okay, so I have had a few storage units in my day and this place is crazy different. They have a new manager named Ryan and he's nice and happy. That never happens in a storage facility. J/k but in all seriousness that Ryan goes above and beyond his job title. Talk about someone WHO REALLY CARES. Unfortunately my unit was broken in to but he walked with me through the whole process and made me feel like everything was super simple to fix. I love this place and I love the location,

The new manager Ryan was refreshingly professional and personable to work with. I started my rental online which was EASY!!!! Probably the easiest online process I have ever gone through to get anything at all and was able to get my access code and everything else set up. Ryan was prompt about getting back to me after I left a voicemail. This was probably the best customer service I've ever experienced whenever renting anything. I highly recommend this place to everyone!!!!

Upon arrival on a Saturday morning, a staff member showed up late without the keys to his office. Before he could get back the owner had come to unlock the office and proceeded to set me up with my reserved unit. He was very apologetic and offered a set of locks for my inconvienince and set me up in my reserved unit accordingly. A month later he called about a missed payment but promptly waived it when I had explained I paid in advance in person and had my stuff out within the first month. My initial impression wasn't great, but good customer changed that. Very convenient location, secure hours/facility, and reasonable rates.

My friend and I chose Basic Storage based on location, access hours and their low rates. I reserved a unit online, which was painless. I received a reminder call Saturday morning from one of the helpful employees. We showed up just about 30 minutes before they closed. The employee who was behind the counter was very nice and I rushed. He even waited while we ran to the atm to clear up a debit card d issue. I am very impressed with Basic Storage and highly recommend them.

I'm a new customer, but so far service and facilities have exceeded my expectations. Getting started was very expedient and hassle free. The staff is hands off and gives the flexibility and freedom to maneuver as I please when it comes to accessing my unit and using the facilities. I also like the level of security provided, so I am never worried about my property. Thank you Basic Storage!!!!!!!!

Great storage facility. Prices, staff, accessibility and security all exceeded my needs.

Edit: they got back to me today (1 day later). The guy in the VM sounded very upbeat and nice, and he clarified that the storage facility is managed remotely. That said, he got back to me a bit too late. Instead of receiving the promotion of $1 for the first month, I had to go elsewhere and pay $70 (in fees alone). This led to a pretty poor experience overall.

I was trying to refer this place to rent but no one reruns phone calls or answers the phone.

I hate to give one star seeing that Gina was responsive in trying to help us, but they only keep two weeks worth of security footage which is practically useless unless you go to your storage space every day. We've had over $4000 worth of musical equipment stolen from this storage space within the first week of getting it. We didn't find out until later in the month, and if somebody actually bothered to check the units on a regular or at least occasional basis, they could've let us know that our storage unit was fully kicked in, opened, and robbed which would've allowed us to review security footage. From the reviews it looks like we weren't the only ones. I hope that the folks at Granary will start implementing a stronger security system, or at least keep their security footage for longer than barely three weeks so that their customers have some form of restitution.

Terrible Company, highly recommend other places. Break-ins and unhelpful/unresponsive management. Take your belongings elsewhere, you’ll thank me later.

My storage unit was broken into. When the staff at the facility seen the door to my storage unit wide open they decided to accuse me of of living in my storage unit and evict me. They did not contact me about my storage being wide open and nobody being around. When I informed them that my stuff was stolen their response was "call the police" They did not offer to check their surveillance system, did not seem to care at all. Instead they accused me of doing something I did not do. I even found my cut locks mixed in with the tenants stuff next to me. When I told them about this they had the same response. Now I am trying to get the insurance information and they will not respond. But they are quick to contact you if you are a day late on your payment. Awful, judgemental people that cannot handle the responsibility of the task that they are in charge of. Do us all a favor and sell the business to someone that knows how to do their job. Because obviously they are not qualified.

I call, and I call, and I call. Only to have my calls unanswered ever. Yes, I am calling during business hours. I was left a voicemail to tell me my rent is overdue and my unit is eligible for auction, I was given a number to call to get everything taken care of. So of course I call to get it paid as soon as possible but surprise! The number is out of service! So I call the office number several times, days in a row only for my calls to be unanswered. I am also unable to leave a message and the line goes dead. If this continues, not only is it extremely poor customer service but is going to cause me to lose my things despite my efforts of trying to pay my bill. I'm growing suspicious of the place and the management especially. How hard is it to do your job and answer the phone or return missed calls. I would not recommend this storage facility to anyone! Terrible customer service all around!!

Horrible Experience under new ownership, they keep raising rate and now a BREAK IN! Previous ownership was awesome and we were loyal for many years with no issues. NOW, it is one thing after the other and we are horribly violated in several ways! DO NOT RENT HERE!!
