Very lovely place. After my pet lizard passed away I called them to see what options I had. Darla was able to take him same day, and ensured they would take great care of him, and they did! It’s never easy losing a loved pet. But I really recommend you come here if you find yourself in that unfortunate situation. I got my pet back within a week exactly as promised.
Thank you very much, it means the world to me.

Our beloved hen died on Thanksgiving of 2023 and we were desperate not knowing where to take her. To make the story short the lady was so nice and understanding that it was more than a pet, but part of the family and she treated our Pecky like so. They gave her a proper cremation and spread her ashes on the rainbow garden. We were more than impressed we knew that that's were we want the rest of our pet animals to go when the time comes, hopefully not anytime soon.
Thank you for the love and care you showed our family.

I want to give this place and Darla a 5 out of 5. I had to put my baby boy Two Face down last Thursday. I got him back today. I am so glad I came here on the recommendation of the Vet assistant I dealt with. Compared to their service which was $400+ and going to Phoenix. I got my baby cremated here for $140 and I got to drop him off here in Tucson locally. I appreciate Darla for being kind and giving us privacy with our baby. I also appreciated that she didn’t push to sell me anything extra when I went to her in a vulnerable moment. Everything I bought was because I wanted to. She was so good to us. I appreciated that she had the picking of a blessing stones and ringing of the bell tradition for our pets wings. The cemetery is also very well take care of and clean. When she told me she would take care of my baby with care and honor I believed her. I would recommend this place to anyone locally. She made this loss a lot easier. Thank you Darla and your services. We hope to not come back soon but we will if we need to.

Let me start by saying job well done Darla i’ll give you a 10 star. If there was 10 stars on here I brought my precious kitty of 24 years to you Callie moore and you treated me like family even had me put my cat inside your chapel and offered to pray with me, even though it was closing time , even offered to stay after if needed to be … she took her time to listen to me between tears and a heart full of loss
She even made sure to put my kitty on a special tub tray with care I have no doubt that Callie was treatead with the most up respect. Darla took the time to do it, Paw print and cray paw print
Thank you again you made that a whole lot easier , even give me a special blessed rock and let me ring your send off bell
Thanks again

This is hands-down the best place to bring your pet after he or she has passed.

Unfortunately one of our fur-family members passed away due to heart disease. After she passed, one of the veterinary staff members asked us if we wanted to do cremation. We said yes and asked what company does the cremation. After some searching, I realized that they are based in Phoenix, which means they are going to ship my cat to Phoenix, cremate her, then ship her back. There is a truck that comes once a week that picks up the animals. This didn’t sit well with me.

After some searching, we found the Pet Cemetery of Tucson. I called them and was told I could personally bring Kira, our cat, to them. They did want to schedule a time that was only about one hour away. I believe is the right thing to do to ensure that each person gets 100% personalized attention. I told the vet we wanted to take Kira, and we drove her there ourselves.

The staff at the cemetery were so wonderful, kind, respectful, and treated our pet with dignity. They walked us through everything, let us take as much time as we needed, and let us say our goodbyes to our beloved pet. On our way out, she told us to ring the bell and take a stone (I think it was a memory stone).

We picked our pet’s ashes up a few days later. It was the best quality service I could have ever asked for.

The Per Cemetery of Tucson is also a calm, beautiful place. My wife and I spent some time exploring the grounds and looking at the different graves.

If another pet passes, we will not take our pet anywhere else.

With this said, I don’t think people should use the cremation services offered by veterinarians. We never will again. For one, it’s more expensive. The cost was $140 at the Pet Cemetery of Tucson, while the veterinary hospital wanted $408. The increased cost is due to the veterinary hospital charging additional costs for profit. You also don’t know who is handling your pet. Some guy picks up a bunch of pets and ships them off. The process is very impersonal, not transparent, and you don’t know if your pet is handled with dignity and respect.

I really appreciate the care and compassion we received during this difficult time. I’m certain that my Ramses is at peace. We got the cremation and shadow box with clay paw print. A beautiful journey over the rainbow.

It is never easy to lose a beloved pet, but Darla at the Pet Cemetery eased the pain as much as possible for us. She returned my call quickly and gave me an appointment to bring my dog in right after he was euthanized at home by Dr. Miller. The process was smooth and the cost for communal cremation was very reasonable compared to other places. Yesterday we had a small memorial gathering at the Garden of Memories and hung my dog's collar there, where his ashes were scattered. I highly recommend this place to you, as long as Darla is there.

Unfortunately, we have had to use Darla's services several times over the many years we've lived in Tucson. Fortunately, every experience has been exceptional. Our very first experience was a very hot summer night when our dog died unexpectedly. I called the number expecting to leave a message, but Darla answered. It was almost midnight when she met us with our pup. We quickly went over the paperwork, and she explained we could pick out our urn when we came to pick him up.
We had to use her again yesterday, and as always she was wonderful. She's spectacular with kids; she's encouraged them to send drawings off with their pets, and to pick out remembrance stones from her garden area. She's patient when they pick out urns, and her resident cat is always friendly and ready to get lots of petting. The kids have always left feeling like their beloved pet is in good hands, and we have as well.
I've never known her to be rude, or disrespectful. She is a no-nonsense type, with a dry sense of humor....and very witty at times. Her business is very regulated. I did not know that every time her crematorium is turned on she must have the paperwork that matches, she has fire dept. inspections every 3 months, and a while ago her crematorium caught on fire due to faulty repair work and was closed for almost a year. It's a family run business, so when Darla apparently got "upset" that another reviewer wanted to be present for the cremation and "push the button", it wasn't something she knew in advance or was prepared to do right that minute.
We've always been very happy to have this long-time Tucson family business handle our cremation needs.

I have had to visit Darla at The Pet Cemetery 3 times in the past 2 years. The most recent with the loss of my dog Rosie was even more painful than usual, as Rosie's death was sudden and entirely unexpected.

As always, Darla was calm, caring, professional, and gave clear information about the process. I love the peaceful and beautiful grounds, and wandering the paths is comforting.

The cost is quite reasonable, and service is timely. No matter how busy they are, I always get an appointment very quickly. That is appreciated and necessary, and I'm thankful Darla works 7 days a week to offer that level of availability.

We came in without an appointment by accident but we were helped anyways with love and kindness. I know my little boys cremation will be handled with integrity and care.
And a very special thank you to Darla and her cat for making this easier for us.

When our pet/family member Caesar passed unexpectedly we were grief stricken. It was a Sunday and when I realized I’d have to call a place to handle his remains it was already getting late in the day. I called The Pet Cemetery of Tucson 5 minutes before closing, and the woman on the other end of the line was very comforting and offered to stay open a little later so that we could take our dog Caesar in. She let us have one last goodbye with our little boy. After a couple of weeks we picked up his remains and a paw print they had made us. I hope you never need this service but when you do I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to get their pets ashes back. Thank you to the staff for making this part of the process a little easier.

The most important thing to say is that the staff of the Pet Cemetery (both human and feline) treated me, my spouse, and our recently departed calico with utter kindness and respect.

The cemetery itself is beautiful, and the room where the bier is placed is comfortably dim, peaceful, and invites reflection. There are a full range of services available, everything from full funerals to urns and various mementos to honor your beloved furry friend. However, nobody pressures you to buy anything or tries to hurry you along. That's one of the benefits of having an appointment.

What we paid for a private cremation was $120, with ash return. It would have been less if we'd chosen to cremate our kitty in common with others, and though she still would have been treated respectfully, ultimately we decided against it. There was a lot of effort spent on making the logistics easy for us, since our grief was not. The friendly office cat helped with that, offering head bonks and friendly purrs. She does her job very well as does her human.

I truly appreciate the Pet Cemetery and staff and I intend to use their services if I have need of them again.

We lost our beloved family dog of 9 years unexpectedly last Sunday. I called around town and no one answered. I called this place and right away was offered a same day appointment. We took our dog I signed the paperwork and paid and was on my way. Our family has been heartbroken ever since. Then today I check the mail a received a beautiful condolence card with a paw print of my dog. It bought tears of happiness and joy to our family. We now have a piece of our Dita forever. Thank you so much!

Darla Norrish is kind and compassionate and provides a top-notch and professional service to all of us who have lost our best friends. Her approach and demeanor made me feel as though I'd known her for years! She helped me through the deep loss I felt over saying goodbye to my 14-year-old Yorkie. The cemetery is quiet and picturesque, tucked away from all of the hurry and chaos of Tucson. She has a cat as her office manager, and her eyes twinkle with the fun of it all. There couldn't be a more perfect person or a more perfect place to help us all say farewell. I wish I could give The Pet Cemetery of Tucson more than five stars!!!!

when my dog passed away a few months ago, we found this place and they were very compassionate, careful, and understanding of how much our dog meant to the family. we received our dog back in not only a simple black urn, but the people included a tear jerking poem about the rainbow bridge of how our pets are having fun and waiting for us to come to that side when our time comes, an ink print and clay of our dog’s paw which meant the world to us. i am very glad we found this place.

We have had a few pets pass and the owner is a very kind person that really cares for us, and our babies. I would highly recommend her to everyone, I wish there was more kind hearted people like her. Its heart breaking loosing our babies and having a professional person who understands makes a difference. ❤

If you ever find yourself in the unfortunate but inevitable position of losing your pet. I highly recommend The pet cemetery of Tucson. They go above and beyond in every aspect of this very painful process. Their fees are quite reasonable and so I had not expected so much. I am so very thankful for them. At every point (even when I was being hysterical) they gave my whole family comfort and care. They were there to take my call on a Sunday & provided an appointment the next day on a holiday. When I was terrified we would have no options due to the timing.
