Cafe Mochiko is a true gem in Cincinnati. We’ve visited several times during our trips from out of town, enjoying both their dinner offerings and pastries. From their dinner menu, the appetizers like Mochi Mochi Panic, Karaage, and Kabocha Raisu were standouts, all with amazing flavors. For the entree, we tried The Ohio from their rotating menu, which featured a rich pork and fish broth with tender sous vide pork and chewy noodles. The Katsu Sando was a decadent treat with its crispy pork cutlet.

On a recent visit, the Shrimp Tsukemen fell a bit short for me. While the concept was promising, I felt the broth could have been richer and packed more flavor to complement the thicker noodles. Additionally, the timing of the broth and noodles could be better executed, as they were brought to our table at different times.

For our weekend pastry stop, we waited about 15 minutes in line which was well worth it. We tried out a variety of their signature pastries, including the Ube Croissant and Genmaicha Melonpan, all of which were so well-made and delicious.

Overall, Cafe Mochiko offers exceptional Asian-inspired bakery and Japanese cuisine. While they don’t take reservations and may require a wait, the experience is undoubtedly worth it.

Attempted to come for pastries in the morning the other day and they were sold out! Fortunately, we made it to their dinner! Pictured is their Mochi Mochi Panic, Chili Miso Udon, Hokkaido Smash Burger, and Shiitake Don. Paired with wonderful boxed sake, this was some of the best Udon and burgers I’ve had in the cincy area! Their mochi mochi panic is a must, as the soft pillowy texture of the fried mochi absorbs the flavors of the soy glaze really well. Just thinking back to this dinner makes me hungry. Can’t wait to try their pastries!

Delicious food! The apps were spectacular. One of the best Kara Age I've tried. The Mochi Mochi Panic was surprisingly good. Mains were delicious too. Service was great. I've tried the pastries and they are of great quality. Definitely try this place if you are intrigued.

These pastries could convince me to move to Cincinnati. The cornbread and the cream cheese everything bagel bao were my favorite but all of them were delicious. I’d love to come back and try dinner as well.

Cafe Mochiko was delicious. The weekly ramen was Tori Soba with chicken thigh, chicken breast, and pork chasu tamago, menma and negi in a chicken broth . The Cincinnati style chili ramen was something else. I did not think I'd enjoy it as much as I did! Will definitely be back there.

They always surprise me with their weekend specials. Their Ube Halaya has been my favorite for a long time now. I tried their moon cakes and I have to say they were some of the best moon cakes I tried. Definitely a try when in Cincinnati.

Hands down some of the best food I’ve had. The savory mochi blew my mind and I truly reminisce on the first bite. The broth in both of the ramen bowls we ordered had so much flavor. The noodles tasted so freshly made right out the kitchen. It’s worth any wait!

Great experience as always at Mochiko!

First time dining in the restaurant and not just having pastries from the bakery. We went for dinner on Black Friday, and were seated maybe 45 minutes after putting our names in. Staff were coordinated and kind.

We got the kabocha raisu, chili miso udon, katsu sando, and the Cincy chili ramen. Everything was amazing in both presentation and taste. Noodles were fresh (I hear they make them in house but have not confirmed) and had the perfect chewy bite. The Japanese/American fusion elements came across really well for each dish, especially the Cincy-specific flavors. I saw a lot of people only ordering the Cincy chili ramen, but everything is delicious so if you're thinking of going, consider branching out!

We've been scared off from going here because we figured we'd never get in! Should have given it a try sooner! We put our name down and grabbed a drink at Symposium while we waited. It was a little under an hour wait and it was very much so worth it. The pork sando was everything I wanted it to be. It was my first time trying that dish and it definitely lived up to my expectations. The cold potatoes it came with were very light and went well with the sandwich. The seasonal ramp dish was delicious but I wished we saved that stomach space for a different dish. The cold broccoli side was very refreshing. The ramen was also amazing. Great chewy noodles and a rich broth. Can't wait to go back!

This was so fun! Friends told me about their bakery and how busy it is. I picked up a box of 6 and split them with friends so we could try it all! The doughnut should be called a creme brulee because it's so good and crunchy on top. The cream filled were both really good. The corn muffin is really plain, I liked it a lot but it was super plain. The least favorite was the pork bun, the pork itself was kind of fatty, it wasn't bad but I probably wouldn't get it again. They opened today at 9 and I got there at about 8:45 to get in line and I was third, by the time the doors opened the line was down the street. Definitely a popular breakfast spot! Check out was easy and the employees were nice. Will be back to try dinner!

I live out of town, and have been eyeing this shop for about a year. Finally had the chance to visit with some friends. Got some appetizers like the chicken karaage.

However, the main dish I’ve wanted to try here was their Signature Cincinatti-Style Tsukemen, and it lived up to the hype. The noodles were chewy and complimented the chili broth very well, and the broth itself was outstanding with such a deep flavor.

Thank you Mochiko! 🙏😊

Fantastic. The truffle ramen was kind blowingly delicious. The mocho i appetizer was pillowy and the sauce was to die for. The only disappointment was that I couldn’t buy a pastry to go… oh well will just have to go back for breakfast again…

One of my new fave spots in east walnut hills! The pastries were delicious. I feel like you need to get there earlier to get the goodies because I feel like certain items are limited. The ramen dinner was amazing though. Has the perfect light flavor but was filling at the same time. My partner did the burger and said it was was juicy with a good flavor.

Excellent experience. It was busy but the atmosphere was quaint. Lots of traditional Japanese decor. Food tasted authentic and savory. I liked the wagyu beef burger and chocolate sea salt cookie. Service was excellent. It was a little bit pricey, but you can tell the food is made with high-quality ingredients. (Everything is more expensive due to skyrocketing inflation and national labor/product shortages...)

Overall, an wonderful experience. I highly recommend.

I love mochiko! It s probably the best ramen in town. They are often busy but wait is so worth it. Bakery usually gets sold out by noon so
It s better to come early.

As a Japanese, I had never found good Japanese food outside Japan till I went to this restaurant. Cincinnati skyline ramen was very very tasty. Their karaage was fantastic, very crunchy and juicy. Just Thinking about it now makes me hungry 🤤I was very impressed with food and the whole experience. This restaurant would be popular even if it was in Japan.
