Ascoli Espresso

This is a nice local place for delicious coffee/espresso drinks. They have a wide variety of drinks and flavors. Customer service was great and very friendly. There was a line, but it was the morning rush which is to be expected. It’s nice to have a “mom and pop” type coffee spot close to my work.

I adore this place! Any time I have extra time before school I grab a drink from here. I have never in my life had better chai tea. I recommend this place to everyone haha. They have so many options, such a nice staff, and such a fun vibe. If you’re looking for coffee, this is the best place!

We really enjoyed our coffee/Tea at Ascoli Expresso. Drinks were good and the service from Syd was exceptional. Friendly and knowledgeable regarding the drinks that are offered. We make a point to try and support local businesses when we can. We will definitely be going back.

This is a little hidden gem. The coffee tastes great, a good viriety of drinks, and the owner always has a great attitude while making your coffee. Highly recommend.

Such a great little stop for coffee. The owners are absolutely charming. Very friendly and knowledgeable about their products. The coffee is outstanding. Smooth southeast asian origin beans roasted to perfection. No bitterness or char. Buttery to the last sip. The pastries are also lovely and made in house. I will absolutely make Ascoli a part of my regular coffee rotation.

This is my first time ordering the almond croissant with my latte and WOW. It equals the chocolate croissant in texture and quality. It’s also massive! The bag pictured below is torn open at my desk because upon smelling the delivery (Yes! They offer free delivery nearby!) I had no patience to get a plate.

I’ve got crumbs in my bra and all over my lap as a result. My only regret is that I didn’t order two.

The coffee at Ascoli Espresso is excellent and the pastries are unparalleled in the state of Utah. The owner and chef says the dough takes three days to prepare and he bakes it fresh each morning.

They typically sell out early as they’re located on Broadway, so try to get here when you get into the office.

Definitely just get two. Yes, they’re big and filling, but once you’ve tasted these croissants you’ll be upset if you can’t tear into a second one.

Today I ordered an eclair for my coworker as a gift…and I never told him, so I’m staring at that now on my desk considering just eating it.

The affogato is bomb! The coffee was good and so was the icecream. Most places neglect one or the other but I thoroughly enjoyed it and I’ll be back for more.

I had an apple croissant and an iced pumpkin latte. Everyone was so friendly to me. The food was wonderful and the coffee was yummy but not too sweet. I'll be back next time I visit!

I’ve been trying all the coffee places in salt lake and this is one of the best tasting places. We got an iced hazelnut latte and an affogato (ice cream scoop with espresso shot). And they were both amazing! Also definitely try the homemade chocolate croissant. The service was outstanding and made it an over the top experience

They have coconut milk available for lattes. I was also lucky enough to come by on one of those perfect weather spring days so I could enjoy coffee at one of the little tables on the sidewalk. Also they were sweet to put a little water dish out for passing dogs to get a drink.

The most amazing coffee place I have been to. The owner was very friendly, I could have chatted with him for hours. Their coffee was very good. I ordered their specialty, cafe Du monde based on the owners recommendation.

The owner talked about the struggles of roasting beans in such a dry place vs their previous location in Seattle.

It must be hard having a coffee shop in SLC, I hope they do well.

They gave us personalized orders based on the small conversation we had while ordering our coffee. They gave us insights as to the origin of their ingredients used in the coffee and pastries. Nothing here felt generic. I enjoyed my order.

I love this little coffee and pastry shop. The owners are absolutely the kindest. The coffee and the croissants are the absolute best I’ve ever had in my life. The baristas made my latte with this beautiful heart(ignore that I already consumed half of it already). Highly recommend!

The best coffee I tasted in Downtown! It taste so rich! Recommend their pumpkin egg nog, cafe du monde and salt lake fog! The pmk eggnog can add the coffee liquor! it’s so surprised me!
Also, the barista can speak the Mandarin, they are so nice to introduce coffee for me each time. I got lots of stuff on my hand yesterday, and they also hold the door for me. The best taste and best service in slc!

So glad I came upon this little gem. The service and croissants were so good I stopped twice over 2 days in SLC. The owner was extremely nice both times and the seconds day saw that my 1 year old was asleep and helped serve me outside without waking him. Awesome place!

Incredible cafe with quality espresso, fantastic ambiance and an extremely friendly and passionate crew. I highly recommend for anyone passing by downtown. Locally roasted beans and the quality equipment from Italy guarantees the satisfaction 💯 ☕ 😍
