Turn It Up!

12-23-23 Update
Once again, we found all kinds of fabulous music. If you have not tried TURN It Up! - well, you have to!! Lots of fun and everyone is great and helpful. Carson is the most knowledgeable person we have ever met when it comes to picking out new and old artists and matching them up to your kind of genre. We even found a very rare CD for our collection. Thanks guys and Merry Christmas!!

Just went in and found a huge amount of CDs! It always amazes us while searching the store how many deals and finds we can come across each and every time. The staff is super nice and the experience is just so much fun and rewarding! We always spend at least 2 hours in the store.

Incredibly helpful and knowledgeable staff - and the deals cannot be beat. We consider our visit to Turn it Up! to be a real treat and have so much fun hunting for our favorite artists. We also love to try new artists so we often go away with something new that was playing on the store speakers. At the very least, you have got to go in and browse their amazing selection!

Came to Brattleboro for my 21st, and my girlfriend and I instantly saw this place driving through and knew we had to go back. The store itself is nice, spacious, and even provide an area to listen to records on a victrola the got kicking around. The LP selection was great and more of a market for obscure stuff rather than your typical Newbury corporate pushed mainstream stuff. I was able to find JDILLA, which I wanted to have in my discography of music for a bit. I also scrambled into VIOLENT RAMP and HUREN, which looked like nothing I have seen before, so I picked them up on a whim too. Great purchases, great store, and great staff.

Just love hitting this place. I always leave with something I know I'm going to enjoy.

Very nice place, has a lot of variety

It's a great little shop. CDs, movies and vinyl! Not a huge selection of records, but they definitely have a few gems there! I picked up an older Metallica single that I didn't know existed.

Super cool store with great prices on used records. I feel like records stores like this one are a gem and need to be preserved at all costs because they are few and far between these days. I have a hard time just finding used records in general yet alone at an affordable price so I was super excited to go through the $1 and $2 record bins. I found so many great classic records, from Ella Fitzgerald and other blues/R&B singers to classic rock like Jethro Tull and Allman Brothers. Definitely would go here again!!

Always a great time at Turn It Up. Browsed, picked up some CDs, and had a nice conversation about Stoner metal with the guy behind the counter.

Nice little store good cd prices

Great stock of hard-to-find CDs and happy surprises. Terrific spot for talking music. These classy folks deserve high praise and an A+ in local history for displaying a Capt'n Bullfrog's bag in the front window.

Amazing music store with a great selection. In this day and age when most music is either purchased digitally or, strangely, on vinyl, this store offers a wide selection of cd's, as well as dvd's. Also visit their store in Northampton, MA. Same great selection.

I made it a point to stop at Turn it Up! during a recent pass through Brattleboro. I was pleasantly surprised by the prices in what can be a tourist area, not to mention the fantastic selection. Great value, great variety. If you’re passing through, be sure to stop here!

Can usually find what I like, and if I can't staff offer to order it for me. Reasonably priced, very eclectic selection, even some retro vhs tapes, cassette tapes as well as some 8-tracks. With almost every CD, you can listen to it before you buy it.

If you're into music and movies, you have to check out Turn It Up. I shop there all the time for vinyl records 'cause I'm a collector, but I'll buy cds, cassettes or videos (dvds or vhs) if I find something to listen to or watch. I never leave empty handed.

Seems like stores like this are a dying breed, but these folks do it right - for those of us who still like our music and movies to come in the form of a tangible object. Great selection of CD's, vinyl, DVD's and other good stuff.
