The Plantation Inn

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights during our honeymoon and really enjoyed our stay! We wanted an adults-only spot that was close to Front Street. The entire hotel is so charming, and the small size and location of it made for a very relaxing stay. Our bed in room 15 was very comfortable, and the room was very spacious. The hotel offers complimentary breakfast every morning, where you get to choose from a limited menu what dish you’d like - the food was decent and the coffee and juice were delicious! The service at the hotel was great, Lynette made us feel very welcome at check-in and the entire staff were friendly and considerate. I think this location can’t be beat, you’re a block from Front street, a few minutes walk from the harbor (for boat excursions), and there are tons of gem food spots nearby. We loved exploring the area, and it was relatively easy to drive to other parts of the island. If you’re looking to support local businesses and experience a relaxing stay apart from all the giant hotel chains you could stay at I highly recommend booking your stay at The Plantation Inn.

My husband and I spent a week here in February and it was the best experience. The staff were all so helpful and super friendly. The location of the inn was in the perfect spot, walkable to shops and restaurants but a little off Front street to keep it quiet. The pool area was always clean and inviting. Our room was just as explained on the site, clean well maintained. There was coffee/tea and a mini fridge in the room, and we loved sitting out on the balcony in the mornings and evenings. We will most definitely return. The inn was less than half what the big resorts were charging and double the charm! Also a big plus, plenty of free parking which is hard to come by in Lahaina.

We had a lovely stay at the plantation inn! It was a peaceful paradise amidst a bustling tourist town. Walking distance to everything. The staff are so hardworking and keep the property well-maintained. Parking is free and the delicious breakfast served surrounded by beautiful tropical plants always started our days so perfectly.

All I can say is WOW. Granted this is not a fancy beachfront property...but if you're looking for an uncrowded and quiet getaway that you can still walk to restaurants, shops, and harbor in Lahaina...this is it. This is an adult only inn. We wanted a place that was peaceful and convenient and this fit the bill. Beautiful room, courtyard with pool/jacuzzi, parking and awesome breakfasts! The rate includes breakfast and they truly were delicious!!! Great customer service...thank you Nora and Plantation Inn family. Highly recommend!

We loved the Plantation Inn! The staff was so friendly and went our of their way to prepare a breakfast for us when we were checking out so we could take it with us (they made it to go for us). The rooms are gorgeous and spacious and so clean. Beds are comfy. The pool/hot tub is great and you can walk to downtown Lahaina. We would definitely stay again.

Fair pricing especially when you book for 7 nights.

Clean and quiet except for morning rooster wake-up and some street noise for the building facing the side street. The veranda doors are ringed by stunning stained glass which - unfortunately - can't be covered at night. If you have trouble sleeping in semi-lit rooms, check with staff for room choice as the pool-facing rooms got a lot of light all night long.

Definitely better for adults - not really kid-friendly.

The breakfasts were huge and well prepared. I could see a resort charging upwards of $30-50 per for these.

The room size was good. The verandas are a nice way to enjoy the trade winds. The pool/Jacuzzi is open 24 hours and was the best way to unwind after a long day of playing tourist.

There is a snorkel rental shop 1 block away on the way to the beach - Boss Frog - with great pricing and friendly staff. Mala Wharf is a great snorkel spot and only about 1 mile walk away.

Loads to do and see nearby including things that are not on the tourist trap Front Street.

My husband and I stayed at the Plantation Inn for our mini honeymoon recently. The inn was perfect for our needs for the weekend. We loved that it was quiet, adults only, and so close to Front Street. The pool and hot tub being 24/7 was awesome, and the pool was always clean and not crowded. Our room was clean, spacious and the balcony overlooking the pool was a nice touch. We loved having a delicious, gourmet breakfast included. The staff were all helpful and attentive to anything we needed. It’s a small, quiet inn but it’s perfect for a relaxing getaway with access to everything you could want in Lahaina. Parking was a little tight, but that not a big deal all things considered. We would definitely stay here again over staying in a large resort overrun with people!

While it’s a older property it is well cared for and very clean. We both work in hospitality so notice things standard travelers do not. We were both impressed with the cleanliness and friendliness of staff. Nora was excellent and we appreciated her recommendations.

It’s in a great location making walking to Front Street super easy. Breakfast was good although it’s very limited but enjoyed not having to leave for it. The pool was enjoyable and quiet. Being an adult only property it was very peaceful and relaxing. We appreciated being able to easily access the beach at their other property. We would definitely stay again.

Amazing little bed and breakfast. The rates were less than half the big chain hotels, and the staff are phenomenal. The included breakfast is wonderful, from delicious French toast and bacon, to eggs florentine, to house made fruit and yogurt. Every breakfast is big, delicious, and a wonderful way to start the day. We stayed in a Lahaina room toward the back (room #13), it was quiet, clean, though not very dark at night. The staff are all friendly, happy to chat and offer suggestions of what to do or where to go, and have the aloha spirit. The parking lot always had a space available, though the spaces are efficient and narrow.

Amazing place to stay! So quiet and relaxing even though your close to the city. You wouldn’t guess it being there. I’d highly recommend staying at! Very friendly and great service. Breakfast tasted so good and had indoor and outdoor seating. Very lovely place to stay at! Rather your looking to get away and read a book by the pool or enjoy the city night life with live music and walk back to room.. this is the place to stay at!

A very nice bed and breakfast. Room was spacious and clean with a balcony. Breakfasts were good, however the menu options were the same each day; would have liked a bit more variety over our 3 day stay. There is no elevator access to the 2nd floor. Provided beach towels and chairs. Ice machine was locked and had to ask front desk for assistance, Since property is protected by key cards it would have been nice to have access to ice at our convenience.

Our stay here was simply excellent. The room was quiet, clean, and charming with a large lanai that overlooked the tranquil pool in the courtyard. The bed was very comfortable - we stayed seven nights and slept great the whole time! The staff was extremely welcoming and professional - they provided the warmest and most exceptional service we received anywhere on the island. We are Oahu residents and have stayed at multiple hotels and resorts throughout the Hawaiian Islands but this is our favorite so far. Besides the excellent accommodations there is no resort fee and no extra charge for parking. Breakfast is also included and the Inn houses Gerard's - an incredible French restaurant. Make sure you eat there! It's an all-around excellent place to stay and we will be back the next time we are on Maui!

We stayed at the Plantation Inn on our honeymoon and really enjoyed our stay. We booked a suite, which was very spacious and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast in the morning is a lovely perk and it is walkable to key places in Lahaina which was a huge perk for us!

The Plantation Inn is an absolute gem! The rooms are very clean, the lanai courtyard is beautiful and the staff is extremely nice and helpful. Walking distance to down town Lahaina and the included breakfast is wonderful. Stay here, you will be glad you did!!!!

The Plantation Inn didn't disappoint! Great experience and all of the staff, especially Regina and Lynette at the front desk and Marlene at breakfast accommodated any needs we had. Room was clean and tidy (bathroom was nice but could be updated) and grounds were kept immaculate down to the last detail. Pool and hot tub were a life saver after a long day of SCUBA diving. Breakfast is included and selected each day from a nice menu with variety. Can't wait to go back 😀.

Plantation inn is the place to stay in Lahaina! My husband and I had the best time here on our honeymoon. Comfy, spacious beds, big patios, clean accommodation and daily breakfast. Regina went above and beyond daily to make us even more comfortable. You will feel right at home at plantation inn on your trip to Maui!

My wife and I were visiting Maui for the first time and we won the lottery by picking the Plantation Inn. The attention to detail is exceptional, the staff could not be nicer or more helpful, and the breakfast wonderful. Another great surprise is the Inn’s location to everything: one block to front street, 500 ft to the Lāhainā grill, and multiple dive shops within walking distance. In a time where customer service is dead the Plantation Inn shows what it is supposed to be like.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here! The staff were all so friendly and caring, they always made sure I was safe in my adventures. Breakfast was delicious and filling for day long exploration of Maui! The property is clean, secure and well maintained! Easy walking distance to the parks, shops, bars and restaurants on famous Front St.

I can't say enough good things. My husband and I got married on the beach in Maui and stayed at The Plantation Inn for the week. The rooms were super clean and classically Hawaiian. We felt at home in our quiet room only a block away from the busy sprawl of Lahaina. The best part about the Inn is the staff. I felt like I was staying with a bunch of Aunts who were just as excited about us getting married as we were. They spoiled us and showered us in hospitality. So friendly and accommodating. If you are looking for a place thats convenient, clean, authentic, and feels like you are staying with family, this is the spot.

We absolutely love everyone at The Plantation Inn! All the Aunties are incredibly warm and friendly, especially Regina, Nora, and Lynette! Our room was gorgeous and so relaxing, and the breakfast each morning absolutely delicious and worth waking up for. The pool was inviting and lovely, and we also loved the location, so convenient! The Plantation Inn is by far our favorite place and made it the best honeymoon ever. We totally plan on staying there again if we are ever back in Maui and have already recommended it to all our friends and family. Mahalo for a wonderful experience!
