McKay Diamonds made me an absolutely stunning engagement ring for my fiance. Shopping with them was hands down the best customer service experience I have ever had. Joe, Kim, Sandra, and Alan were fantastic from the start. Over the course of several months they taught me tons about diamonds, gold, and ring crafting, and went through several ring design changes with me, without question. Joe is a talented jeweler, and provided insight and customization that cannot be found online. They had a collection of beautiful stones and rings, and he could custom make any design I could want.

Both in person and over email, they were incredibly responsive, honest, and helpful. I had met with several jewelers/stores in SLC, and they were hands down the best. They run an amazing family business and provide really personalized service.

They also offer a lifetime warranty, including cleanings, resizing, and maintenance.

If you are looking for a custom ring, this is absolutely where you should go! We will be returning for our wedding bands in the future.

Every part of the process – short of actually harvesting and cutting the diamonds – is done right here by Joe, Sandra, Kim, and Alan. Kim was especially amazing throughout the whole experience, brainstorming with me and sending me renderings and edits to craft the perfect ring.

The best part of it all was how invested and excited they all were at every stage of the process. You get the sense that they don’t just want to sell to a customer, they genuinely care about building you the perfect ring. It even shows in how they hang photos of all their customers on the back wall, almost like they’re not customers at all but a part of the McKay family.

Their degrees in gemology are highlighted by their vast knowledge and expertise. They offer free resizing and modifications even after purchase, and they have a lifetime guarantee on their products. They have a talent for meeting even your most impossible requests, and they even care about where their diamonds are sourced from, whether natural or lab grown. Every part of this process was perfect, and the final result was absolutely stunning. I can’t imagine purchasing any jewelry from anywhere else, and I will be a lifelong customer.

My fiancé and I spent a whole day going to several jewelry stores in Salt Lake City. We selected McKay Diamonds because their reviews were fantastic. Now we know why! Shortly after arriving Joe the jeweler came out and was very personable, knowledgeable and direct. He helped us design the perfect ring and told us that he personally is the jeweler that would be building this ring for us. He gave us a quote on the spot. All the other stores took at least a week to get with their ring builders and get back to us with a quote. By then Joe had built our ring and it was guaranteed. If we didn’t like the ring, he would build one we did like! We were not obligated to purchase the ring unless we liked it! All of this was with no money down, just simply a phone number! When we returned to see the engagement ring it was beautiful, and he had upgraded the diamond but did not charge us for it. He stuck with the quote and gave us a certificate showing the ring was worth more than we paid for it! Unbelievable customer service here. We returned to have the ring resized a week later and he shortened a necklace that was purchased elsewhere for free. All this in about 15 minutes while we waited. All at no charge. Ring resizing or any adjustments to it are free for life. We will definitely recommend McKay Diamonds!

I got my ring resized and McKay Diamonds took very good care of me. I called in the day of and they were able to do the same day resize for my engagement ring. I was very pleased! My ring looks beautiful and they even polished it really nice. I highly recommend McKay diamonds!

We have had such a great experience with the customer service at the McKay Diamond Jeweler, located at 115 C Regent ST- Downtown Salt Lake City! First of all, we had them rebuild and enlarge the band on my Wedding Ring - then a year later, here we are adding a new custom band with Diamonds to my Ring!!! Turned out so perfect- absolutely LOVE it and love the experience we have had! This is a great business; they treat you like family!!!

I had a special antique ring that needed a diamond replaced and resizing. I reached out to various well-rated jewellers in the area (McKay, Morgan, Shane Co, AAA) and McKay was the only one who bothered responding to my inquiry. They were incredibly professional and did an amazing job with my ring! The owners were very friendly and helpful. The quote they gave me was very reasonable I will be bringing pieces here from now on.

This is delayed as we got engaged in January 2022, but I definitely wanted to still post this review! I dropped in to get my ring resized/get an estimate and they were incredibly friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable and quick. The resizing cost was very affordable and I was able to pick up the next day. They also polished it for free and it looks like a brand new ring! They also gave us very helpful advice on the fit of my partner’s ring, and told us to come back anytime if we needed to adjust our rings or get them repolished before the wedding.

I received a recommendation from a colleague for resizing my wife’s engagement ring. The owner/jeweler is very experienced and was great to work with. He knew exactly what he was doing, immediately identified a small chip in the diamond, documented it and had me look at it so I could positively identify my diamond after the labor. Very fair price and fast service. Guaranteed the fit if it had to be modified within 30 days. Polished it up and had it ready in two days. Great experience. Highly recommended!

Consulted, designed, and executed the most stunning engagement ring for my fiancé. They were all top professionals in both craft and working with us. Joe Andrade, the owner with decades of experience, and his daughter Kim Andrade were very friendly and welcoming. We went to them looking to size up my platinum wedding band and engagement ring. Platinum is particularly difficult to size up; however, Joe patiently walked us through each step, explaining the intricacies of resizing platinum rings and ensuring that we were comfortable with the process. He performs the repairs on-site and in-view of the customer. Watching the process is reassuring and gives you a deeper appreciation of the craftsmanship involved.

The Andrades are kind, good people. My fiancee and I are so incredibly happy with how our custom ring turned out, Joe is very skilled. Kim was very patient and helpful during the designing process, she made it easy and comfortable. I can't sing their praises enough. McKay resized several rings for me about 4 years ago when I lived in Salt Lake City. They were so kind and their prices were reasonable. I now live in Italy and had a sapphire ring in need of repair. Instead of trusting someone in Italy (they like to overcharge Americans) I had my husband bring my ring back to McKay while he was there for a few days. It looks fantastic and they actually charged him less than they originally quoted. I highly recommend them for all your jewelry needs. Thank you again for a beautiful job!

I have a spectacular 14k gold pocket watch that my late husband bought for me 25 years ago. This watch actually had my initials, 'RA' engraved on the front. This watch stopped working several years and I kind of forgot about it. Recently I bought a beautiful lady's vest and found my pocket watch in the back of a drawer. I took it to McKay Diamonds & Jewelry to inquire about the skill set to clean and provide any needed repairs. Mike was excited to be able to provide all requested services for my lovely little watch. Because of all that's required to clean and repair an antique pocket, Mike had it for quite awhile. That was simply so fine with me. Upon return, for a nominal fee, this watch has never looked more beautiful or kept such accurate time. The latter Mike guarantees for 1 calendar year.
