We recently lost a beloved family member and entrusted Clary-Glenn Funeral Home with the arrangements. We wanted the service to take place within three days so there was much to do in a brief span of time. Joel met with our family and took as much time as we needed to make arrangements and provided guidance and insight regarding issues that would require our attention outside of funeral arrangements. The day of the funeral he and his staff worked behind the scenes to make sure the service ran smoothly and that the family was not burdened by any additional worries. Joel and his staff were patient, compassionate and professional and we would highly recommend their services.

Brother Joel & Mrs Paula along with their entire staff made what was a very emotional time of transition as seamless as could possibly have been. Their compassion and well versed employees were such a blessing from the very first moment!

Losing a loved one is beyond stressful, so I greatly appreciate that every detail was taken care of …with an emphasis on “care”, because they really do.

When we tragically lost our 2 year old daughter we went to Clary-Glenn because it was the only funeral home in our little town, but it was exactly what we needed. They met with us within hours of our first phone call and sat for hours patiently answering every question we had and took the time to make sure all our wishes were taken care of to the smallest detail. They worked closely with the florist and helped us custom ordered exactly what we wanted. Joel and his family/staff returned every phone call with professionalism and empathy. We will forever be grateful for their hard work and compassion helping us through one of the most difficult times of our lives.

We’ve used Clary Glenn Funeral Home for all of our family members who have passed. Joel and his staff are so compassionate and caring. They have handled the filing of life insurance claims and everything for us. They really go above and beyond to help families during their most difficult time. We recently used Clary Glenn for my sisters funeral and didn’t have enough life insurance to cover the full expense and the team at Clary Glenn worked with us and allowed us extra time to get the finances. Mr. Joel Glenn and his family were very kind and patient to work with. Losing your father is a tough thing and even though I am in my 30's I felt like a 12 year old making unchangeable life decisions. But The Glenn family was super sweet and helpful with everything from the time I met them at the house when they came to receive the body all they way to the celebration service. They treated myself and my father with tender care.

I could not have hoped for a better experience. Joel Glenn treated my mother with such detailed care and every arrangement was handled perfectly. I knew at our first meeting that I was placing my confidence in the right person! I am forever grateful!

My Father passed on September 16th and was picked up the same day by Clary-Glenn even though we were in the middle of a hurricane. Mr. Glenn and the entire staff made an incredibly hard time much more bearable. The care, compassion, and understanding displayed by their team made you feel as though they had lost one of their loved ones. Even going so far as to grant a last minute request for our family to see my father one last time as his wishes were to be cremated. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the respect and dignity in which you handled my father! I am forever grateful!

The staff and Mr. Joel Glenn have been so patient and understanding through the passing of our family member. Clary-Glenn Funeral Home did an exceptional job of providing for my family’s needs during my fathers passing this past 12/17/20. It was most memorable and we were provided with utmost sincerity and gentleness during our time of grieving. Joel Glen was kind and patient at the funeral home with all the arrangements. Such as the obituary for the Northwest Florida Daily News Paper, the pamphlets of colorful photos in memory with readings from my fathers granddaughter, grandson, Son and myself his daughter . All their attention to detail is admirable Indeed. We had a full Catholic Mass performed by Father Michael who was so personable and touched our hearts, each and every one of us who attended. Mostly me and my family as he came right down in front of where we were seated during Mass and offered us condolences and reflected to each of us his memorable moments when he came to our house and offered my father his last rights. The Ceremony he performed with a man singing in the background with piano, the prayers, communion, incense, and candles at Saint Rita’s Catholic Church felt like being in heaven. We were comforted knowing my father had a mansion in heaven awaiting him in glory. Very Beautiful.
The burial procession following behind two sheriff’s vehicles with flashing lights, we followed to the Gulf Coast Cemetery past my parents home street, where my father being a retired Lt. Col was honored with military honors. At his burial site upon arriving we were met with Father Michael, Joel Glen and two formally dressed soldier’s saluting us and walking us to the canopy set up where my father’s ashes lay in a beautiful cedar wood in casement. Walking we see and hear one of the soldiers playing taps! The two soldiers then proceeded to unfold the American Flag that was on top of this cedar in casement in front of us, paying careful attention to every fold they did unfolding and then folding it back. With great care they placed this folded American flag in my mothers hands with words of honor and condolences.
Father Michael then proceeded in prayers and blessings with holy water sprinkled on my fathers place of rest. This was most memorable. Thank You 🙏 Father Micheal, Joel Glen, The United States of America Military , Saint Rita’s Catholic Church, and All family and friends.
