Was very impressed at first with the vehicle listing and then with the professionalism of Sam who had called me to see if I had further questions. I asked to have my financing application run through and he agreed and stated he would let me know the same day. Two days later, I call and speak to a colleague (also very nice and professional, had an accent but didn’t catch name) who states my credit hadn’t been run because the vehicle was being serviced at the VW dealer (unsure what correlation there is in that, as I had informed both I was an out of state buyer and would arrange shipping or pick up once the car was done). Again, I wait and call back, speaking to the same person, who states that Sam will call me after a new finance company is set up for them to use on July 5th following the holiday. They’d already pulled my credit and nobody called me. I call, wait and finally get a call from Sam, basically stating the same as previous and that after the weekend he would call me and let me know what figures he came back with. This all began in late June. It’s almost August, and I could have closed on a house sooner. Don’t let the professional tone on the phone fool you. I have two hits on my credit now and have to file a complaint and dispute to have them removed due to the dealership not following through properly. So much time and possibly money wasted because they couldn’t follow up or do what they said.
