Dogwood Terrace Restaurant

Quaint cottage style home with a warm welcoming interior and soaring wooden beam ceilings. The staff was attentive and we were seated quickly for Sunday brunch. I ordered the peach and pecan blintzes. They were amazing. The mimosas were perfect and generous. The overall price was surprisingly modest. I have already recommended this place to friends and expect to return soon.

Atmosphere is very beautiful and relaxing. The spring rolls are my favorite appetizer. The French onion soup is very good as well. Service is fast and friendly.

I'm a little late writing this review, but I wanted to be sure to say how much I enjoyed my experience! My sister and I met here for lunch one Saturday neither one of us having been there before. I had the Oriental chicken salad and it was excellent and my sister had breakfast and was happy with her food, too! I really liked the atmosphere in the restaurant and we had a good waiter who took good care of us. I will definitely go back soon!

The food is really good. It is obvious that the chef is excellently trained and passionate about seafood, well developed flavors and elevating classic dishes using high quality ingredients.
Last night I had the shrimp cocktail, seafood pasta and the Banana Foster cheesecake. All three were delicious and I was also very pleased with my cosmopolitan Martini.
I love the seafood specials offered every month. I love the generous portion sizes. I will be back again and again.

This is one of the few restaurants that has not seen a decrease in food quality or service during the pandemic. We have had so many bad experiences dining out since Covid, but never here! The food is good, the prices are very reasonable, the environment is really relaxing and the service is always friendly and prompt. We come here every few weeks and have never been disappointed.

I just enjoyed an amazing dinner at Dogwood Terrace. The menu offered several delicious entrees. We went with the coconut shrimp appetizer followed by the 1/2 duck and tuna. Man was it tasty! Fresh and full of flavor! The outdoor patio and fire were perfect. We really enjoyed our evening at Dogwood Terrace.

I can’t say enough about Dogwood Terrace and their staff! We chose them to host a surprise joint birthday party we were throwing for my parents, and they far exceeded our expectations. Missy and Kelly were absolutely wonderful to work with and went above and beyond to customize all the details without us even asking. The food was absolutely amazing- all of our guests let us know what a wonderful evening it was! If you’re looking for a nice brunch or dinner out, or if you need a venue to host an event, I would absolutely recommend Dogwood Terrace! We can’t wait to go back.

And was very attentive during our dining experience. Thanks to nicks suggestion I had the Short Ribs with mashed potatoes, tobacco onions and green beans. My guest had Salmon with spinach and green beans.
Additionally, we started with an appetizer of homemade potato chips with blue cheese.

This was my first time trying short ribs and they were delicious! My guest felt the same with her salmon.
Looking forward to returning soon, gotta have some more short ribs!!

I had heard really great things about this place and my boyfriend and I came for breakfast last Sunday. The restaurant was busy and there was a little bit of a wait but nothing too long. While waiting there was an interaction we thought was an argument between two of the employees that made us both really uncomfortable, we mentioned it briefly to one of the employees more in concern than anything. Amazingly and much to our surprise the manager came and apologized and explained the situation and was extremely heartfelt. Even offering to take care of our meal, but more so just wanting to ensure that the conversation we witnessed was not what we perceived and apologizing and making sure it would not deter us from coming back in the future. Very impressed with someone taking complete ownership of a situation. We will definitely be back. Food was great as well. The crab Benedict!

Quaint atmosphere! Servers and staff were friendly. It was just me and my two kids, and we were accommodated well (they have a kid's menu!). Looked to be a perfect place for date night! The food was really good. I'm looking forward to our next visit! If you like crab cakes, they are very good!

Stopped on a whim for Christmas Eve Sunday brunch and landed in a real gem!! The food was very good, with omelets and Belgium waffles cooked to order; service efficient and friendly without being intrusive. Peeked at the dinner menu and it looked very good and appropriate for fine dining in the area - the prices seemed more than reasonable, and tho' the offerings are somewhat limited, there is something for every taste, including vegetarians. My thought is that the quality and preparation more than make up for any limitations AND several of the entrees are locally awatd winning. Do not miss this place!!

Sunday brunch is where it's at! I've been twice with friends now. I wish I could resist the biscuits and gravy, but I've failed both times. ;) (Although I do miss the sausage in the gravy, like we make it back home.) The omelettes are fantastic. The entrees don't appeal to me, but they are unnecessary, really. (I do get the petite steak & eggs.) The bacon is always crisp & flavorful. The fruit has been juicy and sweet. I look forward to going back someday!

Sunday Brunch Review: I was a little hesitant when i walked in just because the buffet looked so small. I'm so glad I stayed. The omelets were fantastic, the bacon was nice and crispy without being burnt, the biscuits were light and fluffy... And the French toast omg. I am not a French toast person but this stuff was off the charts great. I didn't try the Belgian waffles but they looked amazing as well.

They did a great job for our bosses retirement dinner! The food was excellent!!! Loved the menu had his name & retirement dinner on it, nice touch. Missy & Kelly were great to work with getting this all set up.

CATERING SERVICE REVIEW
I don’t know what their pricing is like because they were one of the two caterers we had to choose from as part of our venue package. I assume it is reasonable but I can confidently say whatever it is, it’s definitely worth it! Unlike the other caterer [Adriane’s Delectables] our taste-testing consisted of fresh food prepared by the chef who would serve it himself and chat with us about the menu. It was as if we had a private date at the restaurant. We were seated, offered wine and were given plenty of samples that were generous portions – definitely filled us up. Another thing we liked is that they immediately changed what they were going to serve us accommodating food allergies and special diets we discussed before the tasting began.
On our wedding day, the food was just as delicious! Although we had buffet style service, they brought fixed plates and waited on us (the bride & groom) to make sure we got to eat. They gladly prepared separate plates to accommodate food allergies and dietary restrictions of our guests. The staff was professional, friendly and did a great job. We couldn’t ask for more. They even packed us a picnic basket for our wedding night.

We had dinner here in November 2016 and was so impressed with the atmosphere, the attention of the servers and the visit from the owner. They present wonderful offerings. We enjoyed the Pecan encrusted Chicken. Can't wait to go back and have more. I'm going to talk with them about doing our Save Acworth History Foundation Holiday Dinner.

Reminds me of a fancy Country Club's dining room back out west. Food was top notch, though service was a bit slow (this did not affect my view of them, but others might be bothered). I had the Eggs' Benedict and it was cooked PERFECTLY. Looking forward to returning next trip!

We have only been to Dogwood Terrace for brunch (we keep forgetting about it when making dinner plans). We...love it! It is never busy earlier in a Sunday, and the food and staff are wonderful. Everything is cooked to perfection including steak and eggs in which you can cut the steak with a fork.

What a find. My mother and I were in Georgia for the Superbowl. We had major issues with our flight from Mamchester . By the time we got to Acworth we were starving and looking for a good local place to eat. This place did not disappoint. It was night time and it seemed like parking was an issue but we found a spot right next to the restaurant. The decor was great. I loved the lights outside. Misty our server was amazing. She was so warm and welcoming, we could not have had anyone better. From appetizer to main course the food was delicious. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area.
