Stopped here on a whim while traveling and so glad we did. Absolutely amazing food and friendly staff. The ribs, mac-n-cheese, and potato salad are among the top best we've ever had. Nothing like this close to home. You cannot go wrong with anything at this place.

Oh My God!!! We ordered wayyy too much food, but oh so yummy!! The ribs are off the chain! We ordered the brisket loaded fries for an appetizer & fabulous only begins to describe its yumminess!! The only thing we didn’t care for was the vinegar slaw.

One of the best Southern Appalachian Smokehouse I have ever visited! The atmosphere inside is very comfortable and the service is prompt and courteous beyond expected. Their food is the definition of comfort food ❤ While traveling away from home, this place reminds me of where my heart lies ❤ Would HIGHLY recommend eating here! (Their Mac and Cheese is very savory and the Sweet Potato Fries with Cinnamon and Sugar are wonderful)

Stopped here on our way back home from a Clemson game. Didn't want fast food. We found a gem! I was greeted at the door by the manager welcoming us in. She explained theor menu and brought us homemade cornbread while we looked at the menu. We had loaded fries, wings (hot and honey heat) and a smokehouse salad with chicken and homemade ranch dressing. All fresh and delicious. They even hand cut more fries for my daughter! The chocolate pie was also wonderful. Excellent food and staff, so full of true Southern hospitality in every way. Will remember this place for future travels.

This is real homemade BBQ. The potato salad was phenomenal, as was the mac & cheese! Was that smoked pepper jack? I don't live close by, but I definitely would plan a 2 hour drive just to eat here again.

I always read the negatives before reviewing a place... just a weird quirk of mine.
Anyways, the "negative reviews" of this place amount to:
I thought it was fast food. but I was wrong.
I screwed up my order, but it's their fault.
The best pork I've ever eaten but my mommy made potato salad differently. (At least that peach gave it a 2).😂 and:
I don't like smoked meat, not sure why I'm here.

And it's no wonder all the other reviews were very positive.
This place does everything right.
Everything.
Casual atmosphere, spectacular food, (I 'm really blown away how good it was), and a super nice owner.

What a great hidden treasure for the town. My wife and I were traveling through the area and went in and ordered the pimento cheese dip appetizer with the bacon jam, FABULOUS. My wife had the brisket tacos and I had the brisket dinner plate, the brisket was fantastic. It was juicy, well smoked and full of flavor. The sides of smoked baked beans and southern coleslaw was tasty. The thing that topped it all off was the corn bread. Run, don't walk to get in and have a meal. The next time we are in the area we will make sure to stop back.

The food is always incredible and the service is wonderful. The staff are always VERY friendly and go the extra mile to make us feel welcome. They're great with our kids-- offering them toys while we enjoy a meal. Trivia night is serious business and so enjoyable. There is NO reason this restaurant should ever be empty. If you haven't been...You NEED to try it out.
The only thing that would make it better is hand-cut fries :)

The food is great. We've had the ribs, brisket and pulled pork. All were delicious and huge portions. The sides are all good and also large portions. One thing too I really love is the music they have playing. The old country music makes the whole experience there a delight.

We stopped here while camping at Tugaloo State Park and we're glad we did!
We got the pork sliders with house cut fries as well as the brisket Tacos and added a side of mac and cheese. While we waited for our food we served hot and fresh homemade corn bread and it was delish! They have a small selection of craft beers in the can which we really appreciated. Our food was pretty good though I did need to add salt and pepper to the Mac but overall we loved everything about this place including the service and will make it a go to spot when we're in the area.

Great food. Won't go away hungry. Friendly staff. They have beer and wine sales and host a team trivia event on Tuesdays and Music Bingo on Thursdays, both starting 6pm.

We loved everything about this experience! ❤ Extremely nice workers/owner. The food was seasoned so good! Everything was cooked to perfection! And the location was fantastic! The shrimp and grits are amazing!!! 🤩

Best food money could ever buy. The food came out fast, beer was cold, the owners are so sweet. The atmosphere is amazing and they have trivia on Tuesdays @ 6:30. Perfect timing for a beer and some grub.

Stop looking for somewhere to eat and go to this place. My superlatives to describe the food and accolades for the outstanding service still won't do the place justice. You've got to go there and see for yourself! We were only passing thru town and craving barbecue, and happened to find some of the best brisket and pulled pork we have ever had at this charming little joint. We started with the brisket nachos I think they were called. Just delicious and they could easily be a meal. My two boys (ages 6 and 10) tore them up. I tried the pulled pork tacos with all the toppings and tbh I wish I would've ordered some to go just to have another round later. They were THAT good: just bursting with this medley of flavors from the slaw, the sauces and the pork. Major street taco vibes! And if the food doesn't bring you back, the service will. The ladies working were all kind and personable and constantly checking in and clearing dishes. They were hustling and friendly as all get out. We will definitely be back when our travels bring us back this way!

I tried the chicken tacos along with the loaded potato salad today. Sweet tea to wash it all down. This is a great barbecue joint and a charming location. Very nice staff. Excellent food.

Wow! Great BBQ and incredible staff. Definitely a go to place for delicious food when in or just passing through Lavonia. Super inviting and ultra hospitable. We were definitely taken care of.
