JTConstruction installed a fortified metal roof on our home in Emerald Isle. They did a fantastic job! Their crew was extremely efficient, on time, and their cleanup afterwards was exceptional. I had a bid from two other companies and Nat was able to do better than either. Nat was great to work with and he was very detailed and professional. The owner James even came to my house to advise on timelines. The roof is perfect and looks amazing! The picture on the left is the new metal roof and the picture on the right is the original shingle roof. I would absolutely hire these guys again and highly recommend them to anyone interested in getting a new roof!!

I hired James Taylor Construction to put on new roofs through the Strengthen Your Roof program.  Nat, the foreman, was very knowledgeable about the process and was also courteous and professional and responsive at every step of the process.  He and his crew installed multiple roofs in a timely manner and delivered a great product and cleaned up after themselves.  I have only great things to say about this company and would hire them again for sure.

In October 2020 James Taylor removed the old asphalt shingles and installed a metal fortified roof on our home in Carolina Beach, North Carolina. All of his work was performed professionally and in a timely manner. After the roof was complete his firm cleaned up all debris and left he area spotless. Any questions, prior to construction and during construction were answered quickly and professionally. I would highly recommend James Taylor for any construction work that needed done. Mr. Taylor is professional, completes his work timely, and answers any questions that may arise during the work. Best contractor that I have ever had do work for me or my family.

James Taylor Construction did my roof replacement last year. They were extremely responsive, provided a comprehensive quote, and were true to their quoted price. Many contractors I’ve worked with have ignored emails and been difficult to communicate with, but JTC was always willing to answer questions or drop off samples as needed. I was happy enough use them again this year for siding replacement. Would definitely recommend their work!

James Taylor Construction (JTC) installed a fortified standing seam metal roof on my home in Emerald Isle. Nat was on the job during the installation to ensure materials were on hand to complete the job correctly and completed on time. The asphalt shingles were removed, gutters were cleaned of all debris and the cleanup was excellent. I received two quotes and JTC was the lowest. JTC had installed new roofs in our EI community and all have been pleased with the quality of their materials, work and professionalism. I would recommend JTC for all roofing projections if you are looking for a company that provides quality products, workmanship and responsive to all communications. Give them a call today!!!!

James and his crew came to our home the day he said he would be here. The crew was polite and worked fast and efficient. We were happy with the finished product and our neighbors asked him to do a roof for them as well. One neighbor recognized James as he had put a roof on his addition 20 years prior. This was the second home James has replaced a roof for us on and both were done well.

My fortified roof looks Awesome. JTC's guys got here at 8 in the morning and were pulling out by 6. Their workmanshjp and professionalism were top notch. They met all the requirements for the fortified roof designation. Great job.

I can't say enough good things about our experience with James Taylor Construction. They were professional, timely, and thoroughly cleaned up after the job. Our foreman, Nat, was amazing! he kept us informed throughout the entire process and was always available if we had any questions. An A+++ experience!

We are in Real Estate and have been using JT since hurricane Florence. He was a big help when the island needed roofs. We probably know 50 satisfied customers. They put a roof on our personal home recently, on time, quality job, gets the job done and follows up. Stop looking and call them.

We used James Taylor after hurricane Florence to replace our roof and James was very responsive and fair with pricing. We used him again on a roof replacement on a recent purchase and as always very responsive, timely and fair pricing. Will use again!

We had a total roof installation and 3 skylights installed fall of 2016. Our skylight was leaking and the plywood boards around the area had rotted. The installation process and work inside went smoothly but that is where that ended. A few months later a leak occurred in the bathroom b/c the roof vent was not flashed correctly. James did come out and "fix" that.

In 2021 or 2022 we started to see mold appear inside the house in the ceiling around the skylights. At first we thought it was dust and didn't think about it for a year as it was only around 1 skylight. Come 2022 we realized it was mold and it was spreading. We tried to contact James and did speak to him once but he never got back with us. I tried to call several times and leave voicemails.

We have had several roofing companies come out b/c we couldn't believe what we had heard. Nothing was done to code in the roof. The same exact area is sinking. All of the vents are not flashed and nails are rusted.

I would NOT recommend this company for roofing work. It's been barely 6 years and this should not happen. The shingles are in great condition but the quality of the work was very poor. Communication was lacking.

We found James Taylor Roofing on Angie’s list. They replaced our roof and installed a fan in our eves. When they were all done, the roof looked good to me and the fan worked. A few days later I went out to sit on our screened-in porch and saw that the smooth white ceiling had hundreds of nails poking through. I called James Taylor Roofing and they sent a crew to replace that section of the roof, fill in and paint the porch ceiling. The porch roof doesn’t look nearly as good as it did and the person who painted the ceiling dripped white paint on the walls, the carpet, and the furniture. I threw away the rug and was able to get the paint off the furniture. At that point, I was just done with them.

Fast forward 4 years to September 2020. There was water on our dinner plates. I looked up and the sheet rock had balloons of water and the tape was warped. There was a leak in the roof. I called James Taylor Roofing 4 times or so, my husband called them once to tell them we had a leak in our roof and requested that they come check. Four weeks later, we have not heard from them.

We called someone recommended by our insurance company. They came and looked at the roof. They said that whoever replaced the roof, put shingles over rotten wood and that they did not replace the seal on a plumbing pipe when they replaced the roof. We had specifically asked James Taylor Roofing to let us know if there was rot anywhere and we would either pay them to replace it, or if they were not interested in doing it, we would hire someone else. James Taylor Roofing did not report any rot.

I do not recommend James Taylor Roofing.
