We are SO excited that The Rialto is back open!!! Just moved to Raleigh over the summer and already know all about this place. Naturally we had to see Rocky Horror on their comeback night as it's a right of passage, so to speak. It did not disappoint. Friendly staff and cast, clean theater, reasonably priced concessions. I didn't love that the seats are naturally laid back, but they are big enough for even my plus sized body, which is a win. Can't wait to see the next show at this venue.

Beautiful theater, great staff, one of the best RHPS casts I've seen in the 30 years I've been going to Rocky Horror, at dozens of theaters. So glad it's back! One point in regards to the theater, seating while comfortable, is tighter than than flying coach on a small plane. If you are tall, wide, or round (like me), and tend to leave your seat often, best to sit on the isle. Highly recommend this wonderful venue.

Haven’t been to the Rialto in many, many years but watched Christmas Vacation and it was a wonderful experience!

Love the re-opening of this traditional venue. Look forward to their future events whether it's live music, comedy nights, movies...all facilitated by an incredible staff.

Very excited about the Rialto reopening. Plus the new owner are keep up the tradition of showing The Rocky Horror Picture Show with a live shadow Cast. So if you are look for something to do in the Raleigh-Durham area on a Friday night. Go to the Rialto.

Best time I've had in years at a movie. Thanks for making it special with the great staff - Xmas tree - and extra touches like the snow when we left the theater.

So glad the Rialto is back. We saw a comedy show there last night - what a great venue for comedy! Check out an upcoming show and support the new ownership!

Looks about as rough as it did 30 years ago. I love it that way! Rocky Horror!

I went to Rialto Theater in Raleigh to see The Rocky Horror Picture Show; the midnight show - the last show as the Rialto is closing. It was a live show and The Rialto is a Raleigh landmark. I had never seen the live show. The line for admission was a mile long. The people I met in line were among the best and coolest people I've met since I moved into the area over 7 years ago. But the show sold out when I was in line. Someone was very generous and kind and was able to get me tickets. To me this theatre and those people embody the best Raleigh has to offer. It is something I don't want lost to growth and development or any other reason. I had the best time and one I won't forget. I had the time of my life.

Whoever that kind and generous stranger was THANK YOU. It meant the world to me.

If you get a chance to rent out the theater for a private event, it's a fun and unique experience! I was the recipient of a fun birthday event there and they even customized the marquee for me!

I love the community feel of this theater. Great place to find your independent and arthouse films, but it's not limited to that. Plenty of food/drink options within walking distance if you want to grab a bite or drink before the show. That might help with parking, which can be tricky on Glenwood. You can purchase tickets online, no surcharge. Reasonably priced concessions, including beer and wine.

The Rialto takes you back in time to a 50s 60s experience. The decor is genuinely retro. However, I found the theater very clean.
We went to see, Won't You Be Me Neighbor, which was an excellent choice for my first visit here. The street parking is limited. We came just before the movie and I recommend arriving early. The staff handled an overflow of last minute customers well. By the way, these are Very polite theater goers here.
Noted the beer sales, which would interest me if I were not driving. Entered the theater itself to see a vintage decor in excellent condition. The seats we comfy, just a little laid back.
Saw mostly a mature audience drawn to this particular showing. The theater was about two thirds full, with people avoiding the front rows.
Will Definitely return to the Rialto. I am now a fan.

We really enjoy date night at the Rialto. The theater is older, but the seats are very comfortable. The popcorn is still made the old fashioned way and tastes great. Drink cups are small in comparison, but both drinks and popcorn can be refilled for just $1.00. We've always found the staff to be very friendly. In addition to the standard fare, they offer a small bar with beer and wine.

Wonderful, whimsical place to see a movie. I hope it doesn’t stay closed too long while they transition to new ownership. One of the last great Raleigh landmarks—I hope it never changes.

One of the best places to see a movie in Raleigh. Classic single-screen art house that transports you to a different era. The screen and the theater is much bigger than you'd expect from the outside, and even the front row is a great seat. They truly care about the presentation of the MOVIE, not just the superficial luxuries you'll find in chain theaters. Movie is always in frame, always in focus, and always at the correct aspect ratio. On the rare - and I do mean rare - occasions where I report a problem to the staff (like the lights not turning all the way off) they seem legitimately mortified and fix it immediately. So refreshing to find a movie theater that cares.

This is the best theatre experience: awesome staff that make us feel at home every time. Great popcorn, great beer, great snacks. All very reasonably priced....for a movie theatre! ;) Plus they have great showings of other events, like the Oscars or The Super Bowl. Tip: they only take cash.

Vintage theater...there is only one screen for whatever one movie they have. It is very spacious and I love the lights inside. It is very grand. It's cash-only. Reasonably priced snacks and drinks, and you can't go wrong with .75 popcorn refills. They also have beer. If a movie is playing here that I want to see, this would be the spot.

My friends and I are really enjoying the option to rent out the theater to watch a movie we own on the big screen. We've done this twice in the last several months. The staff member there has been friendly and helpful. Covid protocols are in effect and it feels safe and good to see a movie this way.
