Anchors Restaurant

Anchors is HANDS DOWN our favorite restaurant. Perfect place to go for a tasty, yet super affordable meal. Here`s why:

1. The food... obviously. I personally have never had a burger compare to their BBQ bacon cheddar burger (I like mine cooked medium with extra sauce on the side and lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion ;) ) Top that off with some battered fries... On cloud 9. Every. Time. Our parents (both sets) go crazy over their fried chicken and their pork loin and gravy. My husband will venture away and get other stuff on the menu that he really enjoys, but, like me, he swears by their burgers if he had to pick a favorite (Secret menu item: he really likes to order the battered fries tossed in their cajun seasoning).

2. THE PRICES. My husband always has to share with everyone he meets that he can get a Blue Moon on draft there for $2, AND that isn`t even their happy hour! And I`m not going to lie, we almost always end up getting appetizers too because it`s hard to resist loaded chips or chicken nachos for $6.95 (although they aren`t really necessary because usually our food comes out just a few minutes after... talk about feeling like a fatty). We both get drinks, meals and an appetizer and still keep our total well under $30; that is hard to come by these days.

3. If I had to name one thing that stands out the most about Anchors, it isn`t the food and it isn`t the ridiculously low prices, it is the staff. As many times as we have gone there, you would think that by now we would have had a bad experience, but we truly never have. Our waitresses are always attentive, very personable, and they don`t ever get annoyed with us when we ask for extra things after we get our order (We`re those guys...). Our first few times going there, we noticed they had staff designated solely to cleaning up tables and going around to make sure everyone`s drinks were full and taken care of. Blew our minds.. lol. Not to say that is always the case, but it is typical to see on busy nights of the week.

One down side to going there late in the evening is you may catch them at a time when their popular items have sold out. They have crazy good specials, so that is to be expected; but other than that, it is really hard to say anything negative about the restaurant (I mean, seriously... look at that burger).

We were traveling through the area recently and decided to stop for lunch. For being busy after church on a Sunday, service was fast and friendly! We felt welcomed and right at home. The menu had a good variety - something for everyone and the food was excellent! We would definitely stop in again the next time we are in the area.

It's a little confusing as the restaurant name is also referred to as The Lighthouse or Winfield Lighthouse Restaurant (they need to work on naming consistency), but make no mistake, the food here is excellent. I had the fried chicken dinner special, and the chicken had a good amount of flavor, and also was juicy inside. Though they were shorthanded on help for the night, they managed to get the food to us quickly, and were friendly. Would come here again!

Haven’t been there in a while. Just went there tonight. They have a new menu with a ton of new items. I got the Texas burger and my wife had the chicken bacon ranch wrap. It was all delicious! Our waitress was great too! We will be going there way more often now. Great upgrade.

We decided last minute to stop and I am glad we did. Everything was great. She apologized that it was taking time to get the food because they only had one cook but it really wasn't that long of a wait. Our food was fresh, hot, and yummy!

This place has great comfort food for a decent price! Also, I came here about a year-and-a-half ago with my son and my newborn. I was really struggling and really tired. We went out because I just couldn't bring myself to cook. My newborn was crying and fussing and a waitress offered to hold her so that I could eat. I don't know the waitress, but she'll never know how much of an impact she made on my life!

Anchors is soooo good. My in-laws live nearby and the staff knows them by name. They love this restaurant and so when we visit we get to come too!! We've had the pork tenderloin, blue cheese rapper, chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken, potato skins... Never had anything that wasn't awesome here. Their menu is huge and the prices are great too. Highly recommend for anyone in the area.

Love the place. Excellent service and the food is fantastic . worth the 15 mile drive. Had the 8 oz. Strip for dinner tonite. Heaven melt in your mouth tender superior flavor. Not too pricey. You get your moneys worth and then some. Wish i lived closer so i could go more often.

There were 10 of us. They gave us the back room , our server was wonderful. She took such good care of us and everyone was satisfied with their meal. Prices are reasonable.

Great service and people who serve you a place where you can take your family.you like crab legs. But they were out. Of them but it's not all u can eat but u get a great plate full .So sense they were out I had a taco bowl and it was big or bigger then my plate and only 7.95 Great place a rate Anchors Resturant a big 100

I absolutely love the lighthouse known as anchors the food is totally awesome no complaints about anything I've ever eaten here. The service is very welcoming and very prompt I highly recommend to eat anything there it's all good and I will be back time and time again

Great Sweet Chili Shrimp. Crab legs on Friday night's are excellent. Great wait staff and good food. We eat here several times a week.

My entire family loves going to Anchors. The staff is super friendly, the food is on point everytime. The kitchen and restaurant is clean. We appreciate the home town atmosphere.

I absolutely love this place. Loved it ever since the first time I went. I recommendvit to a lot of my friends and the family members that havent gone. My personal favorite is the bourbon glaze burger.

Great food at a reasonable price. The service is always excellent!

I came in during lunch ordered inside and did takeout. They made sure I was good while I waited for my lunch with a large water and kept my glass full while I waited for my take out order. Most places don't wait on you after you order a takeout but they did.

I love the food there! I haven't had anything there that I didn't like, and the staff is always friendly and quick with service!
